Looks like Pierce has been a naughty boy this year...

Looks like Santa or his wife will not be making a stop at his house this year. |

Add adulturer to the list of adjectives that describe this guy. Overrated is already near the top of the list.

Huh? Who suggested that? You just don't hear about our guys F-ing around in public. NYC is the ultimate glass house. Throw stones and the media will eat your lunch. |

well thats obvious with Fred Smoot on our roster. but we havent hit the media with some bullsh*t yet so... might as well bash a rival teams player..haha |
re: Looks like Pierce has been a naughty boy this year...
Pierce = should spend more time doing crunches and less time in stip joints.
fat ass |

If Pierce is such a steller team leader in NY, as he was portrayed prior to the Plax incident, then what is he doing with those knuckleheads in the first place? He doesn't deserve that Captain's label he wears on his jersey, much less his hot wife.

I understand. I may not condon this, but I understand.

Sound s like someone is jealous? The fact that the Giants could'nt hold on to a ball was directly responsible. |

Don't cry Vagiantone it is not our fault your team is starting to look a lot like the Cowboys, a bunch of criminals.

re: Looks like Pierce has been a naughty boy this year...
I hate Pierce. After no other team in football thought he was worth squat, the Redskins decided to take a chance on him by signing him to their practice squad, and after years of investing in his development, he turned into a pro-bowl caliber MLB. Then, when the Skins decided not to give him an obnoxiously outrageous contract, he angrily claimed he was being disrespected, then went to a rival and talked sh*t about the Skins to anyone who would listen. After leaving the Skins for more money (which is perfectly acceptable, after all it is a business), he should have been on his knees thanking the Redskins for giving him his career, and harboring no ill will. But instead, he acted like a spoiled crybaby.
That being said, the guy's a 30 year old, millionaire professional athlete. Are we honestly going to waste time with inflated indignancy over a fun time he was having in a strip club? C'mon, that's ridiculous. |

I thought he'd learned from what happened to Strahan.
|
re: Looks like Pierce has been a naughty boy this year...
This footage should be illegal to post, but he should be mindful of his surroundings. He really f*cked up!!! Pierce should go on VH1's The Pick Up Artist and learn some moves, once he's divorced. What a night!! Get drunk, fool around on your wife, club hopping, friend shoots himself, drive drunk and falsify medical records.

So much so that after his debacle in Minny the Skins brought him back with open arms. Meanwhile turdnuts Pierce shows his ass to the whole world when we basically offer him the same contract that NY did and now he is proving what a "great" guy he really is. Eff him in the ear. |

I was thinking the same thing. As soon as the Skins were out of the wildcard race, I noticed some people changed their avatars to different teams.. But I digress... |
re: Looks like Pierce has been a naughty boy this year...
Let me understand here...
Antonio Peirce played here - - more than acceptably - - and his contract time came up. He did not like the Skins' offer. So he went elsewhere. Someone said the Giants' offer was the same as the Skins' offer. I don't know that but let's assume it is true. If so, Antonio Pierce is awfully smart. Given two offers that are the same, he took the one that got him a Super Bowl ring. He thinks the Skins did not show him respect. He's allowed to think that. And if you look at the history that the Redskins have with players/team employees who leave here, "lack of respect" is a fairly common theme. Now, in 2008, Antonio Pierce seems to have delved into the depths of slime in his personal life. You can skewer him for that. But for a player to have made a decision to play for a team other than the Redskins when he did was not something you can blame him for. Like I said, he's got a ring. None of his teammates who stayed here have one. Oh, by the way, if Pierce had stayed here, the Skins would not have signed London Fletcher and lots of fans would not have had the opportunity to idolize Fletcher. After all, if he hadn't come here, Fletcher would just be some pompous ass who was bitching about not making the Pro Bowl... |

The way Pierce handled his departure from the Skins was pretty lame. He had one good year for us, and just because we didn't throw the entire bank at him, he bitched about it. |
re: Looks like Pierce has been a naughty boy this year...
The deals offered were very similar except NY gave him more money up front.

I like that, to a point, in a linebacker. Gibbs gave him his shot when he let Jeremiah Trotter go and he left the next year. I have since lost respect for him, not just because he left, but because he just basically comes off as a jerk. |

Then he started hearing how "smart" he was, became a free agent and his head swelled up, moved to NY and his head went from "swollen" to "stupid" and there you have it. It's amazing what money will do to a person's ego. Screw him!!! I hope his wife takes all his money!! |

This isn't the first time a player has left for "BUSINESS RESONS"... this is their living and they (the players) must do what is best for them.If I'm not mistaken you guys took Griffen from us,right, why is that? |

I personally agree with you Matty,I've been married 30 years but I also have found out that if you don't know what is going on personally in someones life ,...........stay out ,and the NYPost,or Daily News are not something I would take to the bank. |
re: Looks like Pierce has been a naughty boy this year...
Pierce played well when he was here. He wasn't a star. He wasn't Lavar. Now I watch him play like an overweight Roy Williams. The safety Roy Williams ofcourse. Coverage worthy of Archuleta proportions. Speed like Joe Bugel. He's done.

That's not the point. I think you and Curmudgeon are missing the point here. What's annoying about Pierce is here's a guy who is given a chance to play in the NFL by the Redskins when no one else did. Props to him for working hard when given the opportunity and emerging as a top linebacker, enough so that he could go out and make demands on the free agent market. Now, instead of thanking the Redskins for giving him his opportunity, or even just keeping his mouth shut he's spent the past four years bad mouthing the Redskins at nearly every opportunity he gets. I have no problem with people leaving teams for "business reasons" but if it's business, then just keep it business. Pierce makes it personal. |

i get the point that Pierce doesn't. it is strictly business. you cant cry about loyalty, and then just sign with the highest bidder. sometimes i really think that he wishes he would have stayed

You're leaving out the main part Giantone. I said he basically comes across as a jerk. He was one of my favorite players until he got a big head and started acting like a prima donna. I feel the same way about him leaving as any other player. If you don't want to play for the Redskins, fine, seeya. But there is no need to badmouth the team after you leave. He wasn't treated badly. And that BS with Kendall in our first game just shows what he has become. Even after the Super Bowl he acted like a moron. "PUT THAT IN YOUR PAPERS! WRITE THAT." Please. Real Classy. There's no need to be upset with us because your team is going in the toilet Giantone. I can promise you we had nothing to do with it. :) |
Re: Looks like Pierce has been a naughty boy this year...
Who cares if he is cheating on his wife...half the NFL probably does that. And plenty of regular people who are not followed by cameras do it every day.

How do you know that he was drunk and on top of that drunk driving. If you read the article it stated the lady drove them to the hospital. If we are going to bash someone atleast stick to facts. |

It doesn't make it right but people do it all the time. In all walks of life. Men and women. I'm not going to judge Pierce cause he's getting some on the side. If that were the case I'd lose half of my friends. But he's dumb as hell openly acting like this in public when people know who he is. What a total dumb ass. |

If I remember it correctly Pierce was openly told by Gibbs that he was a core Redskin. I remember Gibbs saying that and how bad we needed to keep this guy. That was in 04 when Pierce led one of the best defenses in the NFL. So if you're told that by Gibbs and they let you walk how would you feel? All this while we over pay for certain free agents who couldn't play yet we do not pay one of our own who proved it on the field. No question Pierce should've handled it differently but I understand his bitterness. He wanted to stay here. |
