Not the NFL HOF! The Warpath HOF first year of Inductees!

After reading about Sammy Baugh, I think nominees are long overdue for a Warpath Hall of Fame! The original HOF had only two inductees, of which Baugh was one. I think we should each try to nominate no less than three and no more than seven, and Mods and Super Mods could try to "Moderate" us posters into some sort of finals. Maybe run the nominations until the end of the present year, then the first fifteen days of January 2009 could be the finals with multiple choice options out of the top fifteen qualifiers.

Just one condition: You may not nominate yourself!

I want to Nominate Matty, Smootsmack/Tafkas, Gmanc, Schneed, Bmnseven, Dirtbag. I'm sure I'll think of a seventh latter after I think about it, or see some of your Warpath nominees!

This sounds vaguely familiar. I feel like Gmanc and TMC tried to start something like this a few years back. I humbly accept the nomination. If elected, I will go into the Hall as SmootSmack .

I won't nominate any Moderators, just because. I would like to nominate the following. These are a couple of posters that I don't think get recognized enough: Defensewins, Slingin Sammy 33, and of course backrow!

I'd also like to nominate Earthquake as our own little Art Monk. Let's nominate him for 10 years before we actually induct him :) (of course, by 10 years I mean more like 10 months)

I nominate Schneed, FRPLG, SmootSmack, Matty, TMC, and SGG. Lots of other people are deserving, but these guys have all been around much longer than I have, welcomed me in, and have continued to contribute.

Nice thread. I likey. Aside from the Mods who do a great job, I think FRPLG, GTripp, Mheisig, Dirtbag, and SC Skins all do a great job contributing to the board. Can't forget Schneed either.

Smoot and Sheriff are excellent mods and always bring level-headed insight. There are many members here whose posts make this the best Redskin board around IMO. For the sake of this thread and so I don't make this post a page long, I'm going to limit myself to 4 nominations who are not mods. 1 SlinginSammy33-Intelligent posts 2 Hog1-Makes good points, makes me laugh while doing it. 3 GTripp-Does anyone put more work into this? 4 GMScud-His passion and love for the Redskins is something I can relate to and admire. Thanks dmek25, but WTF? Nominating me is is like trying to convince the Pope that prostitution is ok. Pointless...because it isn't going to happen.

As far as nominating those who I believe are worthy.

After viewing the old HOF inductees from '06, Matty, JoeCrisp, and ZackMills, I reckon we should revise this a bit. Those three are in already, so all votes for them may be re-cast for someone else just as deserving.
I'm not making this decision on who to induct, you are! Even Peter King has a vote if he so choses!

This ain't a democracy, folks. If you want to vote on new HoF inductees, you must be a member of the committee, which is decided by the committee members (presently, GMAN and myself). :Smoker:

I think all nominees should be put on a small island in the lower Chesapeake, where SBF will hunt them for sport. If anyone makes it three days he or she will be a HOFer.

At my job that's how we decided our current CEO.

Ha ha, I can't believe I got nominated not once but twice. Though I probably don't deserve to go into a hall of fame as in terms of a poster I'm more the Demetric Evans type. Either way thanks Backrow and Vallin that made my day.

Anyway in the spirit of the thread I'd like to throw in nominations for ThatGuy, Schned, SlinginSammy33, and another one for GTripp.

However we have to make sure that in all fairness to the other posters that no one here votes the Moderator Ticket. As a result 2/3 of the vote will come from ES and Peter King.

gtripp, credskinsrule and of course the mods who keep this place running smooth and do a good job of restraining themselves from telling people like me to "sit down and shut up" when i go alil bit over the top.

really everyone who posts a good bit on here is cool with me, the haters the kool aid sippers and all the people inbetween.

by far the best skins fan forum around. not too crowded, great mods and there arent a zillion new threads a day.
