Only 1 Cowboys fan, (who was very modest) showed up after Dallas' bending over last night. And the other thing with Boys fans (some at least) can eat some crow after losing.

I'm pretty shocked right now. I didn't get to watch after the 1st Qtr, so I was following on NFL .com. Looked like a huge Defensive battle, and a victory for us. Maybe we need our Def players to come out and say they are not worth the contract money, and they'll play better.

Yeah, it was a good ol defensive battle. So good that your number one reciever got shutdown by our number 2 and number 3 corner! So good that Westbrooke couldn't break lose against us or get open, on one of his screens, against one of our lineman!

You know, I just have to say this, your front office is stupid! Alot of people here hate our front office, but yours is even worse! You have a franchise quarterback in McNabb and you don't even go get a number one reciever for him! If I were you I'd be calling for them to be fired and then you can get someone who, get this, is actually smart enough to bring in a number one receiver, who........drum roll..........can actually get open against the opposing number three corner when he needs to! I prefer the term offensive incompetence. Similar to the SEC. Personally I think both teams have very good defenses but the offenses just don't do enough to challenge them.

On a totally unrelated note, the SEC is 6-2 in bowl games so far and scoring a lot of points in the process. Nothing says overrated like Big 12 football. Just ask Texas Tech.

With Bama's all world left tackle (Andre Smith) suspended for the game, Utah wisely overloaded that side of the line, and Wilson had no time to throw all night. Utah did look really fierce on both sides of the ball.

It was all about motivation. The Utes wanted to prove on national TV that they should be in the national title picture, plus they were gunning for a perfect record. Bama felt like they were playing a let down consolation game after my Gators took it to 'em in the SEC Championship.

A tip of the hat to Utah. Awesome season.

Philly is the quintessential wildcard team, no? I mean this is a team that can come out and score 40+ points any given Sunday... or do absolutely nothing based on headcase Dono. Defensively it's a similar story. They demolished Pitt early in the season but then played very soft defense about half the time. While they [I]could[/I] win every post-season game they play, meaning they have the ability, I just don't see enough consistency there.

Giants will represent NFC in the SB. Prolly gives us (the NFC) the best shot of retaining the trophy... I'm cool w/ that. Hate the f'ing AFC.

Is it really better to have beaten Philly twice this year while you watch them win a playoff game and while the Skins are trying to figure out what to do next year - - or would it be better for the Skins to be in the playoffs and to have lost all of their NFC East divisional games?

The [B]entire purpose [/B]of the regular season is to get into the playoffs. The teams that don't get in look for little "stat gems" to make them look good; the teams that are in the playoffs just nod and point to the playoff brackets and get on with their business.

While it's nice to brag how the Skins "own" the Eagles this year and how nothing can change that, how nice is it to "own up" to the fact that the sorry-assed Rams and Bengals own the Skins this year and nothing can change that either?

Watch the playoffs and root for whomever you want to root for. But don't disparage any of the teams in the playoffs because they are where the Skins would really love to be - - if the Skins had been good enough to get there in 2008. And that's a fact...

This thread was not created for us to "brag" how we own to the Eagles this year. It was created because the user PhillyFanInDeadSkinLand was in threads earlier in the year before the game saying how the eagles were going to show us how the earlier game was a fluke. I just created the thread to see if he would show up and take the shit he so easily dished out.

Yea we all know who beat us this year and we know we're not in the playoffs. But thanks for sticking it to all us redskins fans trying to have a little fun since "we're watching the playoffs."

Maybe that isn't why the thread was created, but it sure seemed as if more than a few folks here thought that it was important to toss out lots of meaningless "stuff". The problem with that kind of "stuff" is that it can make one look petty at the very best.

After the Skins beat the Eagles in the next-to-last game an honest assessment of the week would have been that it was a good win for a team that really needed a win AND it was a bad week because that week mathematically eliminated the Skins from playoff contention.

I really believe that real fans would be far more saddened by the second fact than they would be elated by the first one.

A lot of the fans of this team knew we were a long shot to make the playoffs after we lost to the Bengals. Yea we had a slim chance to get in but, its not like we were on the hot streaks that got us our last two trips to the playoffs. So even if we lucky got in, its not like we were going to make a run. Many fans of this team knew before the season we were a 500 team. So if your heart was broken during our "elimination" in week 16, then i don't know what team you were watching.

I'm pretty sure the Philly fan came on a Redskin board to have some "fun", I see nothing wrong with having a little fun with him right back. Going to the playoffs or not, it's not real smart to go on a teams board that beat you twice and not expect a little friendly smack talk. We DID own them this year and they did'nt get to the playoffs off anything they did against US. By the way, one of the Philly fans that come on here is my daughters friend. It would take alot more than what I've said to offend him. I for one did'nt think making the playoffs should be our main goal this year. For what? To go one and out? I was more concerned with getting this offense installed and making progression toward hopefully getting past the first round one day.
