Starbucks VIA
For my fellow coffee lovers in here, I got a free sample in the mail yesterday of this new Starbucks instant coffee and I've gotta say it's pretty good. I've never been a fan of instant but I could see myself drinking this once in a while.

On the Starbucks website, looks like they're not offering it anymore though. |

yeah who's the coffee hater? |
Re: Starbucks VIA
I want to try it, maybe the grocery store has it. I am the only coffe drinker i nthe house and I hate throwing away half a pot of coffee at noon on the weekends but really it is only dark water who cares. It would just be nice to have something good and quick.

Re: Starbucks VIA
Lets see if a jar of instant coffee makes 50 cups then Starbucks will be selling this for $68.98 per jar.

You my friend need to look into getting a Keurig coffee maker.I got one as a gift and have totally fell in love with it.It makes one cup at a time and it does it fast. The coffee comes in individual "k-cups" and they have so much variety that its almost a guarantee that you will find something you love.I'm a kona man myself but they make all sorts of coffee like German chocolate cake and all kinds of wild stuff. |
Re: Starbucks VIA
Put that coffee down!

I, personally, hate coffee, but I had to give the thread 5 stars just to balance out the 1 star rating before...lol |
Re: Starbucks VIA
I got two free samples at the Target Starbucks by my house, Italian roast and Colombia.
I will report back with my findings. |

That doesn't equal out to $4 a cup! :D |
Re: Starbucks VIA
A pack of 12 is $9.95 or about $.83 per cup.

Not bad for instant right? |
Re: Starbucks VIA
Not bad for instant right?
Agreed but 12 for $9.95 is pretty high. That means .83 for a 8oz cup, when at Wawa I can get a 24 oz cup brewed for like $1.50. I know it is the convenice and all but still that is steep. |
Re: Starbucks VIA
Boy, I sure do love me some Wawa coffee...

I hate Starbucks and those Yuppies that hang around them sipping their over price crap in a cup. If I went there I'd buy my coffee and hide so people wouldn't walk by and look at me like a fool who is sitting back sipping my cup of rip off. These are the same people spending $4.00 for 16oz of coffee but bitched about gas a $4.00 and they tast about the same. |

$0.83 a cup and you STILL have to brew it yourself? That's steep. I don't care what Starbucks charges, if they can get people to pay it, good job on their part, that's capitalism at its best. I just don't like the taste of their coffee. I brew my own coffee at home. For a long time, I had a Gevalia subscription...good stuff. Now I'm content with my Maxwell House. :D |

Yeah imagine spending that twice a day. What a waste. I don't mind Starbucks but not on a regular basis. |
Re: Starbucks VIA
Actually thier "brew of the day" for a large is like just under two bucks, at least in my parts. Of course if you get a fancy doda coffee then you are dropping a Lincoln.
Dunkin Donuts or Wawa suit me fine or just plain old home brew. Actually the cheapest coffee around is if you drink the Office Coffee Club's brew but don't pay in but, I would never do that though. =) |
Re: Starbucks VIA
I buy the 7 dollar 1lb bags of starbucks coffee at walmart/costco. It's the only coffee I drink. The old dealership I worked for in Leesburg gave it to customers and I got hooked. I only drink it on the weekends, or on really cold mornings when I have early work to do. I just got a coffee maker last year as a matter of fact.

Re: Starbucks VIA
My office orders Starbucks Breakfast Blend, and we go through 4-6 pots/day, as we share space with 2 other clients and people who work in the Frederick Telework Center.
At home, I usually get Maxwell House, unless we get coupons for Dunkin, Starbucks, or anything else worth its weight in beans. Although I see Wawa sells their grounds, and may have to pick some up next time I'm over there... |
Re: Starbucks VIA
I like Haagen-Dazs Coffee Ice Cream...that's how I roll

My simple point was it's pretty tasty for an instant coffee. |
