Thanks for the update Smootsmack. In the meantime is there any truth to the rumors that Matthews and Cushing tested positive steroids at the combine.

Always thought Cushing had the "HGH" jaw, kinda like Tito Ortiz who was rumored to have taken HGH.

I was just always freaked out by the fact that for all the footage I've seen of him without a helmet, I've never seen him smile. I think if he did smile though he'd have the evil, roided-up, dive bar bouncer smile.

yeah like i said it was said or printed somewhere but don't see him listed here...SOM u shouldn't get you're hopes up too much for Rey cuz it seems the FO is going in a different direction. I'm w/ you thinking Rey will have one of the best careers from this year's draft, but i doubt he's high on our list.

My buddy who trains for the Redskins has also been working with a group of trainers helping college players during the pre-draft stuff, and Vontae Davis and Toler are a few of their clients. According to my guy, Toler is every bit the athlete Davis is, and faster.

Rey is suppose to visit sometime in early April is what I read.

This is what I need more of. Sources. The only one I can trust for now without citing a source is Smootsmack.

However looking at this list it's a little to long and it might clutter the thread so I'll just post the link in the opening post while posting the players of interest.

I'm not sure if any visit has been planned or happened but Oklahoma S/LB Nic Harris is someone I know they had some interest in a while back.

Local talent from U of R, can play outside linebacker, and will probably still be around in the third round.... just in case we go out and get a tackle in the first. Looks pretty talented, and could at least provide depth

Thanks for the update Goat. I hope they're just playing it close to vest, like last year when no one was aware that they were going to draft J Mayo. We didn't get him but I would love to get Rey.

Man I'm getting old. One of my former high school teammates has his profile up and is elgible for the draft this year. Before him the best player to come out of our school was Charlie Whitehurst (3rd string QB for the Chargers). Just to be clear though he's not visiting, though maybe he could help us out at Guard ;)

That is cool...was a clinic put on by the Spriders and Sidbury is just amazing. I doubt he falls to us in the 3rd round though...2nd round pick more likely so we'll miss out.

It would seem almost impossible to pass on Raji @ 13, even if Oher, Rey or A. Smith were also available. I mean some boards out there have Raji as the 2nd highest rated player in the draft and he's top 5 almost across the board...but yeah w/ the drug thing he could fall and we'd walk away w/ the new Sapp :)

...btw in this scenario SmootSmack how likely is it the FO could pull some quick work and package Kedric w/ a later round pick to get us a 2nd rounder (since we'd be so overstocked at DT)?

Really...I didn't hear that...thought he tested pos for the herb in the past too.

His agents sure took their sweet ass time coming out to refute this allegation...a little odd IMO. Personally, i've not problem w/ this but if it causes him to fall to us it'd put a smile on my face.

Yep he's a second rounder who isn't that productive but the scouts love his workouts combines and his intangibles so I don't care if we get him, probably prefer we didn't though

Ok I'll be honest...during the highlights reel there I started to hyperventilate over Rey. Seriously, after Curry i honestly believe he's is the best talent at LB this draft and won't be surprised if he has a more successful career in the end. Note to the naysayers...don't try and tell me Rey isn't an immediate upgrade at OLB for us (for the next two years until he becomes our monster in the middle). Let me get this straight, a lot of us r "ok" w/ Blades starting at OLB but somehow Rey is a no-go. Really?

It's just we have a fourth ranked defense that just added Albert Haynesworth. The O needs to get upgraded and for that to happen we need to make sure that Campbell has time to throw. Now maybe this turns out like 2004 (with a happier ending) in that we get the better player in the first and then find an absolute diamond in the rough during the third round and if thats so then fine but getting a RT that can start is crucial and they're rarely available in the 3rd . In fact getting a guy that can play LT and RT might be even more important should god forbid Samuals go down again.

I know Vinny is high on Rey but from the interviews I've seen with him and what I've heard it seems like he's higher on Andre Smith.
