Carlos Rogers Not Participating Because of Swollen knee

Just read this. Could be a huge problem. Hope it is nothing serious, but I would think that it should not be swelling at this point.

Maybe we should sign Torrence.

Better ice it then...the season starts in 4 months.

This is just JLC stirring things up because he has nothing else to write. Life is too short to be too worried about most football injuries in May.

"Could be a huge problem"? Really? Could also be nothing.
On Rogers: "His knee's just a little swollen. He's just sore. I just appreciated him coming out and not just blowing us off and saying 'see you later.' That was nice."

On whether this was the same knee on which Rogers had surgery: "Yeah, it was. Just a little irritated."
The season doesn't start in 4 months. No big deal

The first response a lot of people here have to all these bumps and bruises is "the season is months away, no big deal, blah blah blah." While on paper that's the truth, it bothers me that so many key players are unable to go. I know everyone has plenty of time to get treatment and heal, but still. We've got a bunch of important guys coming off surgery, and others who couldn't go because of a variety of of ailments.

I'm not worried yet, but I'm not really cool with it either.

I imagine, though I certainly haven't gone looking, that every team has players in this same situation. It also wouldn't surprise me if its the players that are most critical, since they happen to be the ones that put the most intense stress on their bodies during the season. I am not really worried if Rodgers misses minicamp, let the coaches work with the players we are trying to develop and spend time with them.

I also just heard Cooley got a blister raking leaves. It could be serious it's right
in that space between your thumb and your index finger.

I sense a great deal of indifference to this potentially bad news. Are you guys all mentally ill???

Yes, the sarcasm font was on.

When are they going to trade Rogers for Asante Samuel or Sheldon Brown? Maybe they could get an All-Pro right tackle thrown in too...

Re: Carlos Rogers Not Participating Because of Swollen knee

Why would you want to trade Rogers? Or even trade him within our division like Eagles?

"Clinton is doing his thing, but I know where Santana is," Jim Zorn said. "For some of the other guys, this is a voluntary deal. I know that we’re going to keep working. A lot of guys got a lot out of what we did, so we’re just going to continue on."

-- ROGERS RESTS KNEE

Carlos Rogers sat out the Monday OTA session due to a sore knee, Jim Zorn said.

Rogers was out in the rain watching practice from the sidelines, though.

"His knee's just a little swollen," Zorn said. "He's just sore. I just appreciated him coming out and not just blowing us off and saying 'See you later.'"

yeah doesn't really look like its anything to worry about. I think the health of our second year WRs is a more pressing concern right now, although I expect that they'll be able to do some practicing next week.

If you compare last offseason to this offseason we're so much healthier it's ridiculous. Last year Rogers and McIntosh were coming off of torn ACL injuries. Carter, Fletcher, Springs, all missed some time in the spring recovering from off season surgeries or ailments. We're caught up in the JLC gloom and doom cycle. Remember all of last offseason he was projecting Rogers and McIntosh to be out until midseason despite all from inside RP saying they'd be ready for camp. Advantage-Redskins. If we get to early July and these issues pop up then I'll be concerned, at this point I really don't care a bit.

For those of you that are crying wolf on these minor injuries, stop complaining about them because it could be worst...

Oh and both Rogers and Thomas are back from their "dreadful" injuries. So what's the next thing that we're going to over exaggerate?

Funny I thought the Skins were the only team with injury problems this time of year.
