He was at the NCAA lax tournament with his buddies with one beer in his hand. It's more embarrassing that the city had nothing better to do than bust harmless kids drinking beer at a sporting event. It's not like he was drunk and doing something stupid; he was just standing there.

I am sure that you never had a beer when you were under 21. If you didn't you were probably the guy getting beat up. This is meaningless and it probably happens 10,000 times a day. If he wasn't Belichick's son it wouldn't mean squat.

Yeah this whole thing was blown way out of proportion. I read it on Rotoworld the other day and was shocked they actually wasted space writing this story.

Yeah, but you don't do it in the open with a ton of people around. Have to have some commons sense. You know the media and cops are going to be gunning for you if you are a celeb or a celeb's kid or spouse.

Ok, your'e a kid, a 17 year old kid,with your friends .....and a beer.How many kids in that situation have common sense?Back when you could drink at 18 we were getting served at the age of 16....while still wearing varsity jackets.It's no ones business but the parents.

This I find puzzling about the whole event that went down. So were the cops going around to every person who they thought wasnt drinking age and asking for ID? If the cops had nothing better to do then bust underage kids at the parking lot of Gillette Stadium during a lax tourney then id want a refund on my tax dollars given to cops in Massachusetts.

I also dont think one cop knew it was Belichicks son til after they checked his ID. So I dont understand how they were gunning for him.

Back in the day that's how it was handled. You might even be told to pour it out and go home now. Better not see your car on the street. However, now, if an Officer, catches a kid, he has to follow through. What happens if he lets them off easy and they go get in an accident. The "Boys will be Boys" days are over.

are we sure he was really caught drinking and not caught on tape by an illegal camera set up in the parking lot? maybe that way there would be no consequences beside a slight slap on the wrist and a minute fine.

Yeah I guess your'e right but I know for a fact(becuase I went there)there is a college within eye sight of that stadium and there is alot of drinking going on,hell there must be 100 colleges with in a 30 mile radius of that place.

Im really shocked this was a thread to begin with. Its a non story and I really found it laughable that it popped up on Rotoworld. I mean cmon who cares that Belichicks kid had a beer? As long as he wasnt driving drunk after the lax tourney I think its a 100% complete non issue.

This thread honestly would be better off in the parking lot debating underage drinking. :laughing- I would be hard pressed to find one man in this Country who didnt have a beer underage. Its a part of growing up. Hell me and my co-workers (including my Dad) back when I was around 17-18 would drink after work. :food-smil Good times.

I'm going to guess that they have had issues in the past with under age kids drinking so they cracked down on them to solve the problem. I really don't think the police just woke up and said "Hey lets head over to the stadium and bust kids for drinking".

Have you ever been to the Town of Foxbourgh,that just might be what they did.The stadium is just off rt1 a hwy going in and out of Boston,the stadium is just out side of the actual town itself ,it's the only thing there.
