Man Claims Marvin Harrison Hired Hit Man to Kill Him

Police still don't know who shot and critically wounded Dwight Dixon in Fairmount on Tuesday, but Dixon apparently had one person in mind.

Moments after a gunman riddled Dixon with seven bullets, the bloodied 33-year-old told a police officer he believed the gunman had been hired by NFL star Marvin Harrison, said a law-enforcement source close to the investigation.

Harrison isn't a suspect in the shooting, and investigators have not found evidence to link him to the incident, the source noted.

Police "won't know what made him say that until he wakes up," the source said.

Dixon - who last year claimed that he had been shot by Harrison following a fistfight in North Philadelphia - has been heavily sedated since Tuesday, when doctors at Hahnemann University Hospital spent 10 hours operating on him.

LOL Marvin's a gangsta.. never saw that coming from a low key guy like him. I guess now we know why Peyton threw him the ball so much. Hey Manning, you better throw me the ball or ill cap your @$$
No JK. I cant see this being true. but we really dont know how these guys are off the field.

I mean c'mon, two times a shooting incident involving Harrison. Just doesn't sound right. Out of thin air this guy pulls Harrison's name?

Apparently...although I doubt the veracity of this guy's story. Wasn't it Tom Friend who did a real look into Harrison and how he's basically like a really quite guy so everyone thought that translated into the way he conducted himself but in reality he's a rather sketchy dude in Philly? Surrounding himself with the right wrong people. One's who do his dirty work but are very quite about it.

The first time around Harrison hot him. The prosecutors are convinced of that but can't prove it. This time I think the guy is blowing smoke.

Why in the world is a guy like Harrison hanging out in one of the worst areas in the country? He fired a gun at a guy and could've killed him. Harrison is 100% thug and no better than Vick. Actually he might be worse.

yeah... I had thought that the stories coming out over the passed few years mention Harrison being quiet yes, but a true a-hole... very ornery and recluse from his teammates.

Usually when there is smoke there is fire and there is PLENTY of smoke around Harrison when it comes to this dude.

it was Harrison's gun the first time (wasn't it?)... but no evidence linked him to it? I, like everyone else don't know the real story & I do believe in innocent until proven guilty, but in this case, I have to believe Harrison is fully involved.

AAHHH, Harrison, the man that is more criminal than anyone else in the league. At least he was good enough or at least popular and quiet enough to not let his sadistic nature catch up to him before he made a kings living in the NFL. It is sad that he made it this far and the law has yet to catch him.

Just curious why are you certain of his guilt and at the same time so certain of Roethlisberger's innocence?

Well Harrison got into a fist fight w/ a guy and then a few minutes later the guy is gettting bullets fired at him.....oh yeah it turns out to be Harriosn's gun that was fired. Doesn't really take Dick Tracey to find out who the trigger man is.

There is no evidence in Ben's case and that's why the cops left it alone. I'm not saying Ben is 100% innocent but I'd probably say he is. We see this crap all the time from women. I remember when Eric Williams from Dallas got into a similar situation with a women who just wanted money from him. He then sued her back for fraud or something and won. Deion Sanders was talking on NFL Network about how women try and scam money out of athletes all the time cause they figure they'll settle out of court so their name won't get dragged through the mud.

I was always told, that the quit ones are the ones to watch out for. That ESPN peace says it all. Now think an All-Pro like Marvin with his discipline and his work ethic has not even been contacted by any team. There has to be some type of word going around all the GM's where it makes them stay away from even contacting him. What ever it is the shit dont smell right.

If he's shooting people, as is alleged, then it's not "not catching a break," it's being a psychopath with no self control.

so on top of shooting at a man, he wounds someone who has nothing to do with it. harriosn needs to be behind bars.

Do you know somebody involved in this? I would have to consider the source on something like this.

Why would Harrison throw everything he has accomplished away over stupid bs going on in the hood?

The best possible outcome for a victim in something like this would be the ability to tie the crime to a professional athlete.

I find it interesting that Ben gets a pass but everyone is ready to crucify Kobe, Vick and Marvin.

Hell, Ben isn't even losing endorsements and his accuser is a complete wackjob like Kobe's was.

Harrison might be trying to get into the hall of fame. By doing stuff like this.........................maybe in another year we'll hear about a mysterious looking pipe found in his sunglass case. That, with these shooting stories, will make him a lock into the hall of fame.

Seriously, either Harrison is a diabolical genius who has kept his thuggish persona hidden for the last 17 years or so that he's been in the public eye or these stories have no substance to them.

Two people, both of whom have extensive criminal records, are making claims backed up by no witnesses. Hmm, sounds pretty airtight. After 17 months I'm sure charges are right around the corner! I'd hate to be on trial and you be on the jury. I'd be convicted before opening statements!
