I don't find it offensive at all. Kind of clever with the crown of thorns and all.

To me, this is not using the Lord's name in vain. No one is saying that Colt is Jesus, or even Jesus-like. They are mocking the fact that some people like him and exaggerating that to the point where the Colt followers are as devout as followers of Christ. Tongue in cheek, and not offensive to me in the slightest. I believe Jesus has a sense of humor.

Peoples religious beliefs are sometimes stronger than family relationships...it is a hot topic that should be left alone.

This is highly personal and offensive to me, and it is hard to ignore when I go to this site daily and I see a thread dedicated to a new icon mocking Jesus' name as well as his crucifixion ....where else have you seen a crown of thorns?....and...by the way...I still don't get it....why is Colt supposedly Jesus anyways...is his a born again christian or something....if so....we are certainly mocking his beliefs....why not just talk about football and leave religion alone...it is just way too personal?

Here's the thing though: it's not mocking Jesus or his crucifixion at all. It's mocking the rabid Colt Brennan fans. The meaning isn't as deep as you're trying to make it.

Consider it locked down as far as I'm concerned. I just don't get the "F'ing" mom's and sisters thing as being offensive. My wife is both a mom and sister and I "F" her all the time. It's not dirty or offensive up here. I predict that "F'ing" will be all the rage in a hundred years or so in Apex, NC;)

I respect your opinion as you seem to share similar beliefs however, if we are going to use Jesus' name on this site, I would expect it to be in a respectful way....since so many want to talk about religion on this site...I thought I would mention this....think about it....what would be the damage in not disrespecting the name of Jesus....even if you aren't a believer?
