seeing how you phrased your question, makes it hard to take it serious.

Religious extremists don't always get their way. I can cite quite a few examples: prayer in school, abortion rights, posting the 10 commandments.

but in terms of this board, I think it was pretty clear as answered by SS and Matty, that the conversation had simply gotten mundane and basically run its course. It wasn't specifically because a complaint was made and then bam it was closed.

Nearly everyone here is a Redskins fan (and definitely an NFL Fan) - thats why we come here. So the conversation had gone horribly horribly wrong (think Bill Murray in stripes for context) so it was closed. The avatar is still there, no ones freedom to call Colt Pineapple Jesus has been limited.

All that happened was a thread was closed. It's happened before. It will happen again. I mean it's not like a sea was parted, or 1000's of people were fed with a couple loafs of bread, or someone died and met up with a whole bunch of pretty young ladies.

Can I just point out that Matty still has the perceived offensive slang in his signature, and a whole [URL="http://www.cafepress.com/thewarpath"]shop[/URL] full of gear. Hard to see how the "zealot" got his way.

Massive lightning strikes were recorded in Havertown Pa around 9:37 this morning. Some reporters suggested that a Redskins fan had been targeted. No word on injuries as of yet.

The last place I lived at, the beer store around the corner had 12 packs of it. My buddy would buy 2 or 3 each time we went over there to keep a stockpile.

I should have posted more of an explanation when I posted the final imagery in question. I apologize to those who are offended by it. It was not my intention to offend anyone, and just wished I had the chance over the weekend to defend myself.

However, it was meant in good clean fun. Several people were talking about it in the Training Camp thread and I ran with the idea to create the image. And while I am sincere in not wanting to offend anyone, I wouldn't change the way I handed the situation or the image. I'm always of the feeling that if you don't like something, you are more than welcome to state your opinion in a honest and respectful manner. But then, let it go. Life is too short to be wound up by such things, including a pineapple with a crown of thorns. If you do not like it, you have the opportunity to assure you do not have to look at it, and I ask that you take advantage of that opportunity so that you are not offended anymore and the rest of us can take it for what it is.

I went to Maple Grove Speedway this past Saturday and watched these rednecks pour like 10 cans each of Bud into themselves, everytime I watched them take a sip I shuttered. I hate Bud but Bud drinkers will only drink Bud it is weird. My dad likes Bud and that is basiclly all he drinks.

I think it is pretty funny. Not too long ago people who were Bud/Coors/Miller guys laughed at others who hated the stuff and only drank "girly" beers. Now it has turned the other way. I laugh at dopes who drink that crap. It's not even beer to me.

But yeah, I think the Budweiser American Lager is pretty damn good. Probably the best product they make. It falls short of "amazing," but it's a solid brew for sure.

The funniest thing I ever saw on a bulletin board was a thread started on a rehashed topic - an equivalent to a JC thread here. The first response said "this thread is now about ducks" and within a day maybe 2 you had 6 pages of Ducks. Daffy duck, ducks in wildlife, other cartoon ducks, duck recipes. I still laugh thinking about it. :)

Why would 4 kids think it would be cool to go to Iraq and hike along the Iranian boarder? Have they not been watching any news for the past 6 to 7 years. I would have loved to heard that conversation. Hey dude, you want to go to Key West for summer vaction. No. Maybe Myrtle Beach. Na. How about we go to Las Vegas. Na, but we could go hiking along the the Iran boarder for a few days. Hey, that sounds cool. Maybe Tom and Susan can come along.
