Re: Wow we get a little respect for once ...
Florio is the gold standard by which everyone else should be measured. I've always said he is the greatest source for NFL news :)
|
Re: Wow we get a little respect for once ...
Nice very nice gotta flip the outcome in superbowl.
|
Re: Wow we get a little respect for once ...
haha 2 in 3 comments is incredulity about the Redskins. Maybe I am just drinking the kool-aid but I don't see this team being by and away the worst in the division? Dallas has just as many question marks. Giants have an entire D Line returning from knee injuries and Eagles defense has been critically hit both with the loss of a HOFer coordinator and some key players. Add in the mix that the Redskins offense has to prove itself and this division is packed pretty tight with the Giants getting the nod only because they have done it in the past.

Re: Wow we get a little respect for once ...
I wouldn't mind being this year's Arizona ;)
Well with a different outcome. |
Re: Wow we get a little respect for once ...
Anything is possible, it all comes down to injuries, execution and luck. I always have the skins in the SB in my mind.
|
Re: Wow we get a little respect for once ...
I love PFT
Always have, always will. |
Re: Wow we get a little respect for once ...
He's a genius, knows more about football and has better sources than anyone.
|
Re: Wow we get a little respect for once ...
The funny thing about Florio is for as much flak as he gives us he also has a history of standing up for us. One of the many people he went after was Lenny Pasquerili basically saying that Pasquerelli was going out of his way to criticize the Redskins.
|
Re: Wow we get a little respect for once ...
You seriously think his predictions going to hold up? I mean the Steelers in the superbowl, come on.
|
Re: Wow we get a little respect for once ...
I've always thought that Mike Florio is the gold standard for which media types should be measured by. He's been more involved in the game of football for longer than I can remember and every single one of his predictions usually comes true. To hear that coming from the gold standard of NFL writers is praise upon which we have never seen before.
|
Re: Wow we get a little respect for once ...
PFT is the bomb....;)
Even a blind squirrel gets a nut once and a while...... Lets start out with a WIN this Sunday! |
Re: Wow we get a little respect for once ...
If there was a Mount Rushmore for sportswriters, there would be 4 faces of Mike Florio on it. His forecasts are Nostradamusesque.
|
Re: Wow we get a little respect for once ...
Wilt Chamberlin claims to have slept with over 20,000 women in his lifetime. Mike Florio calls this "a slow Tuesday."
|
Re: Wow we get a little respect for once ...
The 2nd best thing about this prediction is I think all cowpoke fans would commit hari kari. Steelers get 7 or Redskins win. weeping and gnashing would only begin to describe their horror!
|
Re: Wow we get a little respect for once ...
I heard John Clayton this morning pick the Skins as his "sleeper" to make the playoffs.............nice to hear

Are you trying to say that he was having an awkward moment just to see what it felt like? |

Re: Wow we get a little respect for once ...
don't people here on this site hate PFT especially when they report that we were tampering with the titans?
|
Re: Wow we get a little respect for once ...
Finally someone who know's sports. HTTR.
|
Re: Wow we get a little respect for once ...
Ok, who kidnapped Florio and put that brilliant imposter in his place?
|
Re: Wow we get a little respect for once ...
The talent is there, the coaching staff and team officials have to step up for this team to win. Starting with keeping the right 53.
I know Jason Campbell is not an elite quarterback, but he sure does have an elite toolset. I caught Phil Simms assessment of Campbell and I agree totally. This year Jim Zorn is planning on tailoring the offense around what best fits the talent he has. That might work out pretty good. |

Re: Wow we get a little respect for once ...
Ahhhh -- the death knell. :(
|
Re: Wow we get a little respect for once ...
I'm expecting the 3rd year of Zorn to be our SB year, but if we make it this year, all the better. SB or not, I'm expecting a significant increase in our level of play this year resulting in more wins.

Re: Wow we get a little respect for once ...
"I've been saying for months that the Redskins could be the surprise team of the NFC."
Really Florio? Where? Somehow I missed those sentiments by a mile. |

Really Florio? Where? Somehow I missed those sentiments by a mile.[/quote]I guess months as in two. He had a spat with Hogs Haven in June, and came back at the beginning of August calling the Skins as a playoff team. He also picked the Raiders to win the SB in 2005. |
Re: Wow we get a little respect for once ...
Actually I feel better that Clayton has us down as a sleeper team for the playoffs than Florio's SB prediction. Although I'll take the prediction.
|
Re: Wow we get a little respect for once ...
Florio = Pure Genius
Clearly THIS is the best prediction and most accurate one I've seen this year .. HTTR ! 3 more days until kickoff !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
Re: Wow we get a little respect for once ...
The Redskins and Cowboys will meet in the NFC championship game, then the Redskins will beat the Steelers.
BUT BUT BUT Clinton Portis will be held to 600 yards rushing and 14 Touchdowns in the Superbowl! DA SKINZ |
Re: Wow we get a little respect for once ...
Warren Sapp is also continuing to give us some respect by picking us to win the NFC East.
|
Re: Wow we get a little respect for once ...
This is awesome... All the Redskins hate in the comments section has me thrilled. Love hearing how we get no respect. Love it. HTTR!

Yeah I saw that last night as well on NFL network. I BELIEVE I BELIEVE! |

I think we give Eli fits. I don't see them scoring more than 1 TD and a few FGs. |
