NFL Network Red Zone
 

If you missed the premier of this channel yesterday, you missed out big time. It is awesome. I watched it for all the one clock games. It jumped from game to game, you see pretty much every big play, big situation, and you see every TD.

It is very well done, even has it's own announcer for the channel. Everything was in HD. If "your" game is not on this is the channel to watch.

If I'm correct they did something like this last year but it was after the games and played durn the week. It was kind of a run down of the big plays as each game unfolded and jumped from game to game as the plays happen. Maybe it was a practice for this.

Yeah that channel was AWESOME! No Commericials! Just games, replays, and stats. You can't beat that! It was the best $50 I've spent this year!

When I was watching it, Ifelt like I had drank a pot of coffee! I was like oh wow look at that, awesome play,etc... it was all the drama of football without any down time. Might be bad for the heart and for the most part it is all in real time.

Ok I have direct and have seen something like this but I believe what I saw came on durn the week after the games. They then peiced it together like someon flipping from one ch to the next. Is what I'm talking about a re run of what they do on Sunday?

I have FiOS also and it's $50 for NFL Red Zone. I was up in the air about it, but my second favorite team is the Saints and I'll never get to see them play, so maybe I'll invest in this. It's gotta be better than watching game center on NFL.com.

I was watching DirecTV's red zone channel.

There are two versions now, DirecTV's which is the original, and now NFL Network's.

I had direct tv and the ticket about two years ago and I watched the red zone channel over there and let me say that this nfl network one is VERY different. Its MUCH MORE faster paced then the Direct tv one. The commentator for direct tv sounds alot like the white house press secretary. Whereas, the nfl network guy sounds like he is addicted to red bulls and caffeine. Its much more exciting and it keeps you focused, keeps you pumped, and keeps you excited. Plus, he'll fill you in on games that he just flipped you too. The direct tv one won't do that.

Well put! It is a pretty awesome channel. Given the choice of having all 16 games on or Red Zone channel (Comcast Version), I am taking the Red Zone. You don't miss anything!

DTV, they'll flip to a game and brief you on what's going on. Not sure what you mean exactly.

They will do stuff like this on Comcast Red Zone.

um yeah, ok I was not arguing which was better simply saying what happens on the Comcast Redzone, don't worry you and DirecTV Ticket are still highly superior to us Comcast folks.

Like, "This is Staffords first two minute drill lets see how he does." And then the drive ends or the timeout is over and he'll flip you back to the previous game.

Its very fast paced and very exciting. I just didn't get that with Direct TV's version. And thats why I said they were different, but I should have used the word 'better', because the NFL Network one is better than Direct TV's.

Perhaps it's changed since you last saw it. Everything you're describing happens on the DTV one.

I can't say which one is better and frankly I don't care, but this guy sides with DTV

Who here is watching Red Zone on Comcast? I have comcast and I can only get it in low-def on channel 734 or some shit. Where is the high def channel I looked all over for it.

Here in Frederick, it's 26-something, along with a 2nd NFLN HD channel. Naturally the powers that be at Comcast have not updated their channel listing yet on their website and all the other TV Listings sites have Frederick's old channel listing.

EDIT: Thanks to Zap2It who is up to speed on the channel listings, NFL RedZone HD is on 263.
