Samuels is probable for Rams game

Yeah I'd be pretty concerned if any one of our backups had to start for a lengthy point of time. I don't think we have anyone will actual NFL experience as a backup save for Mike Williams but I don't trust him either.

This is pretty much what Kendall had all of last year. Of course, Kendall was 5 years older, and still had a really good year.

Agreed. With that said, the O-line MUST be the focal point in the off-season.

I know this would probably be a mistake, but I would almost like Samuels to, if not take this game off, be spelled in the 2nd half, regardless of the score. This one, the Lions and the Chiefs, I would rather he not stress his knee.
Having said that, Kendall took every Wed off of practice, was playing on creaky knees. I think Samuels will be fine.

Yeah Kendall had the same type of thing going on I believe. It would probably help Batiste to get some real playing time, as long as it didn't get JC killed that is.

Smoot is pretty tough. He would probably play through it if needed. You think they just want to see Tryon or Barnes in the game to see how they do? Gotta find out sometime.

I think we should sign Levi Jones. Without Samuels this offense risks laying a goose egg against even the worst defenses in the league because we have nothing legit to back him up. Jones would be guaranteed playing time this year and that's probably the best deal he can get as I don't think anyone is interested in signing him to a long contract or it would be done by now.

You know that I've been with you on Levi Jones. However, I've begun to wonder of there isn't something wrong with him that we don't know about but the FO pros do. It seems odd to me that it appears that no teams, Redskins or otherwise, have been sniffing around him.

That's a real possibility Lotus. I think it's also quite likely Jones just can't get what he wants, which is another longterm cash cow contract, and so he's just waiting it out hoping someone gets desperate. Well I wouldn't give him a longterm contract either...but throw a big chunk of change at him for one year because reality is we have to seriously address OT after this season. It's up to the FO to convince Jones and his agent this is a good move for him too...convince the other FOs he can still play so he has a shot at one last big payday contract after the season.

...all conjecture to be sure. It's just as probable the guy can't even run right meow and only the pros now it.

I am really confused about Levi, I thought teams might wait so they did not have to guarantee his contract, but at this point I tend to agree with you Lotus. In fact when A. Smith hurt his foot, I thought Cinci might sign him back at a reduced price, but nada. So, I guess we roll with what we have. I hope they treat Samuels well
