Are We Jinxed?
 

Since gibbs left I've never seen a team find more ways to lose a ballgame than the skins,they snatch defeat out of a victory more than any team I've ever seen,the way we find ways to lose games are just beyond description,I've never seen anything like it

I agree...we are jinxed...seems like nothing good ever happens to this team no matter who we bring in. The fact that everyone we've let go has a field day when they play us just furthers that thought - can't believe we let Deion get the better of us on two key plays!

Maybe it's Jack Kent Cooke's way of speaking from the grave and telling Snyder to sell the team back to the Cooke family.

It does seem that way lately.

Maybe it's punishment for Jack Kent Cooke not giving his son the team in the first place, not that John was any good while he was in charge anyway

But I'm not about to say we're cursed or jinxed. I don't want to be like those Red Sox fans who conveniently use "the curse" as a crutch for every loss

c'mon. GIBBS is BACK and we're still losing all CLOSE ones by one or two unlucky plays. its gotta be a curse. either change the name of the stadium back to JKC or move back to RFK...

We are not jinxed. We just don't have much to offer on offense presently. Along with a short run with a long list of coaches and a roster full of different coaches players....
Gibbs will turn this thing around.

I don 't believe in jinxes, but a "jinx" would be a nice excuse to change the name of the stadium back to Jack Kent Cooke Memorial Stadium...

Although it seems like years since the glory days, it is too early to call this team jinxed. When it turns to about 30 years of this s**t then we can call it a jinx. I hope we dont have to suffer through it though.

lol... didn't see this post when I posted my Patriots stole our mojo thread (not that there was much mojo to steal - but, hey, every little bit helps.

As a practical matter, I agree - we just aren't making plays b/c our team is still having lapses. That's the only reason the Ravens scored last night... A fake reverse punt return for a TD - come on, that's pure lane discipline and, literally, "staying on the ball".


With that said, it just seems that we have had a lot of bad bounces w/ few good ones in return. As JG said, we fumble and they don't just recover - they recover for a TD.

The only way to beat a jinx is to play through it. I hope they do and I hope their isn't a jinx.

We've jinxed ourselves with the constant turnover in personnel and coaching.

i think its a curse, cuz we always lose by one dumb play. for seasons now.

I don't believe in curses but I do believe that I'm fed up with what I've seen for the past 12 years.

i tend to agree with the system changes causing much of this... suzy kolber asked arrington last night about having five different D coordinators in five years, to which he replied "it's tough."

we can say all we want about how professionals should be able to adjust, but i think any NFL team would have success with the turnover we've had.
