'Vinny Must Go' Chant
Will we hear this Monday night vs Eagles?
|
Re: 'Vinny Must Go' Chant
doubt it
maybe some more sell the team, etc type stuff.. that's the sensationalism that's outside of the message boards, which is where most fans get their dirt.. paper and tv, local TV might be a little more on Vinny, but who knows.. anybody in the area know how the on air reporters and radio reporters are putting this on vinny.. a tandem with snyder.. or more snyder? you'd be surprised the number of people that don't know who vinny is.. or his role I'd imagine |
Re: 'Vinny Must Go' Chant
Vinny + Zorn= Fired
|
Re: 'Vinny Must Go' Chant
Vinny = idiot
Zorn = inexperienced Snyder = Out of touch with fans. 4-12 season |

Re: 'Vinny Must Go' Chant
I listened to regular sports radio in DC (ugh I miss Sirius, need to get my car working again.) and it had both barrels pointed at Snyder. Most of the comments by both the announcers and fans seemed pretty ignorant and venomous. They acted as if Zorn and the players had no say in this debacle -- which I completely disagree with. If you ask me, Zorn is worse than any of our coaches for the last... 20ish years. Worse than Norv, worse than Spurrier, worse than anyone.

No one was worse than Spurrier. |
Re: 'Vinny Must Go' Chant
Yeah Spurrier couldn't even command any respect from the players. The players are still backing Zorn. Sorry Daseal your boy Spurrier still takes the cake. Spurrier clocked out at 4pm and barely game planned. Please.

He signed busts but still went 7-9, doubt that we see that this year. The record doesn't reflect how horrible Spurrier was, but a point to ponder. |

Or practice in the rain. |
Re: 'Vinny Must Go' Chant
Im actually surprised how behind Zorn all the players are... I also love that some of them have made comments aimed directly at the front office, that should tell you what kind of person Zorn is compared to Snyderrato.
Zorn may not be a good coach but he is a good person, Snyderrato make up a terrible front office and are bad people. You have to feel a little for Zorn.. ps, Spurrier was by far the worst coach the Skins have had in recent memory, talk about being underwhelming |

that first year wasn't bad. He took over an 8-8 team & only dropped 1 game below that. the 2nd year was an absolute debacle. That game v. the boys we lost 27-0 was miserable & his qb had an 0.0 rating. I don't think Zorn was anywhere near Spurrier in franchise lows, but I have to say however, that this season is looking eerily similar to spurrier's 2nd season & it's likely to get worse. |

That was his first year though. The D and Marvin Lewis basically held shit together. Year 2 things totally unraveled. We're not quite on the same level now, not yet at least. |

Man how did I forget the 2nd year .. selective memory I suppose  If Spurrier was here he'd be benching JC every game, but then starting him the next |

Re: 'Vinny Must Go' Chant
pains me to say i don't think you'll be hearing any Skins chants at all... place will be at least 50% Eagles fans.

True. If FedEx was 80-20 Skins to Steelers when we were 6-2 and in the thick of it, I can only imagine how it's going to look this Monday. |

In addition to Spurrier there were guys named Petibon and Austin. A few others as well. |

Re: 'Vinny Must Go' Chant
How many fans were in attendence last week? I saw a lot of empty seats. Im sure Mr.Snyder noticed.

I asked about that in a thread. Someone (I forgot who) who went to the game said there was only about 55k-66k fans in attendance. In a stadium that holds over 90k? Kinda pathetic. |
Re: 'Vinny Must Go' Chant
Big Al on ESPN 980 I think? Said he wouldn't go if they sent a limo for him. He's also giving away free hotdogs is you go to Big Al's in the West End with a bag over your head. Check it out. I wouldn't go. I can barely watch on television, expecially if a team like NO is playing.

I'm actually kind of glad to see the players stand up for him but part me feels that he needs to be put out of his misery. As far as the Vinny Must Go chant, I imagine that "Sell the team" will be more popular. Of course there's always "HEY! You suck da da da HEY! You suck." |
Re: 'Vinny Must Go' Chant
Hey, can anyone who is close to DS....you know cleaning service or anything leave this on DS's desk.......
[B][I]Bill Polian-Team President. Bill Polian, in his 12th season as Colts president, has a resume unique in the NFL. One of two men to win NFL Executive of the Year five times, Polian in the 1980s built the Buffalo Bills into a four-time Super Bowl participant. In the mid-1990s, he built the expansion Carolina Panthers into a team that made the NFC Championship Game in its second season, 1996. Since joining Indianapolis in 1998, he built the Colts from a 3-13 team in 1997 and 1998 into one that has made the playoffs 10 of the last 11 seasons, including an AFC Championship Game appearance after the 2003 and 2006 seasons, AFC South titles in 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007 and a Super Bowl championship following the 2006 season. Each week during the season, in The Polian Corner, Polian and Colts.com will discuss issues pertinent to the Colts and the rest of the NFL. Re: 'Vinny Must Go' Chant
How about a chant that goes like this:
Vinnie...Vinnie...You suck. Yea, i hope MNF isn't humiliating. I hope Eagles fan don't outnumber Skins fans and I hope we don't get a beatdown. I think our D will be game though. |
Re: 'Vinny Must Go' Chant
Problem is...do MOST Skins fans even know who Vinny is and what he does to (not for) the team?
Probably not. We're educated Skins addicts here. |
Re: 'Vinny Must Go' Chant
if the eagles jump out on top, i bet you'll hear the chat loud and clear.
|
Re: 'Vinny Must Go' Chant
Whoever does actually go to the ball game, PLEASE start this chant!
|
Re: 'Vinny Must Go' Chant
Which would you rather have as HC, Zorn or Spurrier or Norv or Marty? Personally I don't like any of them. I was rooting for Zorn all of last year and the start of this season, but I saw enough of his bad coaching and playcalling after 3 games and then I jumped out of his boat. Spurrier had a pretty decent offensive line, though. And Marty was so arrogant I couldn't stand him, although he was probably the best choice. At least he fired Vinny! My choice is Marty S.

Fiiiiiirrrrreee Viiiinnnnyyy If some one is willing to go out and put the time and willing to sit out in the parking lot before the game. And when the crowd is quit and able to understand what your saying and your willing to keep saying it over and over until it catches it is very possible. Ive started a few chants with the crowed i was with at a few games and at WrestleMania in Houston. I hope someone gets it going. Fire Vinny!, needs to be heard on a National Stage. |

Damn we should have kept Marvin Lewis and made him the Head Coach. We always let good talent ( A.Pierce/Ryan Clark/Marvin Lewis) get away. |
Re: 'Vinny Must Go' Chant
How about a chant of Danny must go? When Vinny finally is fired, he'll only be replaced by someone as incompetent, or worse.
|
How about a chant of Danny must go? When Vinny finally is fired, he'll only be replaced by someone as incompetent, or worse.
Are all your posts going to be pretty much the same thing? "I don't like Danny. Danny must go" |
Re: 'Vinny Must Go' Chant
I go to all the games and I am not one to join in the booing and the chants but if a good Vinny chant starts I will join in.
And BTW I can't even believe that I read some people on this thread defending Spurrier or trying to say Zorn is as bad or worse. Spurrier was the biggest joke of an NFL coach I have ever seen. Spurrier had no respect from any of his players...he barely even knew his defensive players names. |
