Tshirt help
Looking to print myself up an anti-snyder t-shirt to wear for... well... quite a while it seems. Anyone have any good ideas? I need a front and back. So far what I have just isn't very witty.
Front: Fire Dan Snyder Back: Rot in hell you dirty bastard! Any thoughts? |
Re: Tshirt help
Lame.

Re: Tshirt help
Well of course it's lame. That is why I was looking for suggestions:-)

The lameness isn't limited to the slogan on the shirt. ;) |
Re: Tshirt help
Have you actually looked around the web? By now I'm sure someone has come up with anti-Snyder shirts somewhere.

Re: Tshirt help
How about Dan Snyder as the Wicked Witch with Vinny as a flying monkey?

Re: Tshirt help
I really don't understand the venom spewed at Snyder constantly. Maybe I'm ignorant, but I simply don't feel like he has a huge impact on the team besides signing the checks. Give me Snyder any day of the week over an owner that just wants to get players on the cheap and stay barely above the salary floor. If I'm putting this mess on any one person, it's on Zorn, we don't have a great team in DC -- but we have, in my opinion, a 5-1 team easily after the first 6 weeks. We have played the softest schedule in the NFL thus far.

While I don't hate Snyder , I think he is missing the big picture . I see snyder as the rich guy < I have no dislike for the rich > who builds a tall building , not carrying about the foundation , but he puts a glossy coat of paint on the exterior and can't figure out why the bldg fails inspection . Until he hires someone to run/build the " team " , we will not win consistantly . I'am not a season ticket holder , but would not be happy paying out the a== for parking and getting screwed on beer / food prices at the stadium . Not that I have all the answers mind you :) |
Re: Tshirt help
I understand where you're coming from. I think part of the problem with the team in general is the owner and GM (for lack of an easier term) make personal relationships with each other and the players. In this business, I feel like GMs should have no real friends or relationships (within the organization) in order to make decisions from the head, not the heart.
Beer/Food prices in DC are on bar with most sporting events. All of them are overpriced horribly, but that's not a Snyder only type thing. I agree we consistantly try to toss a bandaid on when we've cut an artery. Personally, my view is Snyder has less to do with that than anyone. What if we went through GMs like we did coaches? We'd really be in trouble. I think the empty stadium and boo's raining down from the crowd have actually impacted Snyder. I expect big changes this offseason (hopefully.) |
Re: Tshirt help
Print some of these. Do it. Do it.

Re: Tshirt help
When I saw this thread I figured CafePress.com would probably have something. They do. Nothing particularly witty though. I'm pretty sure you can design and market your own shirts on that site if anyone has any bright ideas.

Re: Tshirt help
How about something simple like:
SNYDERATTO SUCKS on the back SELL THE TEAM Do it on a burgundy shirt with big gold letters. Sell em on Gameday and tell people to wear them underneath their jackets til halftime. LOL....priceless |

I don't really understand why there is a need to go creating websites and t-shirts to tell him to rot in hell. I mean it's just football. |
Re: Tshirt help
I used to print t-shirts. Burgundy shirts with yellow lettering would cost you for two colors on each side. It would be necessary to underbase (but a white that's slightly smaller than the gold down first), then flash (dry), and then print gold. Gold shirts you MIGHT be able to sneak by with maroon lettering if you ordered a few and they were done on a manual, but it wouldnt look as good as underbased shirt would.
If you're doing two colors. White shirts with burgundy letters and a gold outline would look nice too, and you can skip the flash charge if they don't touch. |

Just Football? THIS IS SPARTA!!! |
Re: Tshirt help
Daseal:
There is a HUGE middle ground between Danny Boy's ownership style and the owner who is there only to minimize costs and make profits on the team regardless of the fact that they are 5-11 in "good years" and 2-14 in "bad years". As an example, look at the ownership/managerial styles of Bob Kraft, Jeffrie Lurie, the Rooneys, Jim Irsay (NOT his father, Bob Irsay), Steve Bischotti (sp?) or Pat Bowlen. |
Re: Tshirt help
If you needs some wins Play the Skins.
My new motto kill ceratto Dan Dan hes our man. Destroy our team like only he can. |

if its just football, why do you have 26k+ posts? You love the skins, and you love talking about the skins. Yes it may "just be football" but there are literally thousands of things you could be doing on a daily basis, but aren't. |

Yeah but there's a difference between enjoying talking about football, and going out and making t-shirts, or putting up billboards or other extremes. |

that is true- and there is something inherently hypocritical about rushing out to profit from something's demise (isn't that why we are all so upset with Danny to begin with...) |

Agreed. If you want to do something remotely productive, do a Fire Vinny shirt. |

Well I think maybe you missed my point or I didn't make myself clear. People can make all the t-shirts and rent all the billboards they want. It's not my thing, but that's neither here nor there. When I say "it's just football" I'm referring more so to people wanting to do these things to tell Snyder and Cerrato that they wished they would just be struck with a fatal disease, die a painful death, rot in hell, etc. To me, that's a bit extreme |
Re: Tshirt help
Yea I have an idea "get a life".
|
Re: Tshirt help
Some decent suggestions here. Just for the record, I have no intention of selling them to anyone. I am not in this as a cash business, more as a simple expression of dissatisfaction. Unlike Danny, I have no drive to cash in on anything here and I can make a shirt for less than it costs me to park for one game.
Something simple like "F Dan Snyder" on one side and "Sell the team!" will probably do the trick for me. For those that cannot understand it, or understand the rebellion against an ignorant owner, so be it. You need only to look at the Washington Capitals to see how a franchise should be run, and look at the Redskins to see how it should not. |
Re: Tshirt help
why don't you link up with the bus drive, give away shirts as people get on the buses that have the ads that all say sell the team. then get metro to drive around ashburn where danny might happen to see them on his way in to redskins park.
or donate a portion of your sales to mda also, and another portion to the bus drive. This may work people. I see Daniel Snyder selling the team any day now! |

Perhaps rot in hell is a bit extreme... after all, I don't really care where he rots. I don't actually wish diseases or death against against anyone, I just think that's bad Karma. Do I think that the Raiders are better off than the Skins because at least Al Davis will die sooner and there might be some hope for a change? yes. Do I wish that on Danny... no. So, I drop the 'rot in hell' portion and simply move on to wishing that something non-catastrophic causes him to sell the team and give us hope for the future. |

Munny - I don't know if you saw the interview with John Cooke but he said Synder basically said he wanted to be the majority owner when he bought the team and that one of the reasons why is because he wants to leave the team to his children - so even if Synder goes away it will be with the Sydner family for generations and will be with them long after we are all rotting dead in the ground somewhere - so we are stuck even with the Synders even if you were just born and become a Skins fan from day 1. |

Yeah, I did see that. My only hope is that the stupid gene does not pass down the line... or that he just changes his mind and sells the team for some reason and his kids can't get it. You never know though, sometimes the kids are better. Look at Jerry Jones son, he was the one who pushed to dump T.O. and move on -- Jerry would not have done that by himself. So, maybe he will be a smarter owner than his dad(though I sure as hell hope not!). I have been going to games since I was 7, and was 28 years on the wait list. I well remember what is was like when the Cooke's owned the team. Aside from running the team itself better, there was just a whole lot more fan respect from them. |
Re: Tshirt help
So, on a tshirt related note -- During the second quarter I was on the upper deck mez level and I saw two guys, obviously buddies watching tv in the beer line. One had a shirt that said "Dumb" with Cerrato's picture, another "Dumber" with Snyders. Stadium security went by them, stopped and told them to take the shirts off or leave the stadium.
Jawohl mein furherer Danny! |
Re: Tshirt help
So, clearly I wasn't the only one who thought a shirt was an acceptable way to speak out. Was going to let it go, but after Herr Snyder's performance this weekend, I put my order in today.

I think if this losing and the way the organization is teating fans and its public perception goes on much longer changes will be made within a year or two - Synder has little patience and this virtue of him will finally cave in to making the chages that 99% of the Skins fans are screaming for. |

Dont know if anyone suggested it, but you are more then welcome to use Sell OUR Team Danny Boy. You are even free to promote your shirts on our site and facebook page....
Also Down with Dan might be good. |

again, or he will move the team. Why do people not see that as a real answer to fans acting badly. (Yes Snyder is acting badly too). |

Re: Tshirt help
"or he will move the team"
Because that is complete BS and fear mongering. So, I would expect Snyder to try that tactic too, but it will never happen. The fact is, he makes his money because of the fan base, not because there is some magical trance associated to the team. Look around the league, there is no place to go to that will rake in cash, especially not for a team like this. If there was, the Jags would be there now. This is a silly argument. He will stay here because this is where the $$$ is. |
