Week 7: Around the NFL
Some good football games this week.
I'm looking forward to the one in DC Monday pm. Discuss. |
Re: Week 7: Around the NFL
Iīm just watching Pats@Bucs... And I am a bit sad about it. If I wouldīve wanted to see it, I wouldīve gotten myself tickets.
Anyway, Tampa sucks. |
Re: Week 7: Around the NFL
I would right now guess that except the Min@Pit Game all games are decided by halftime.

No kidding, what is this blowout weekend? |

The redskins don't play till monday. Usually they are playing down to the competition to make it a close game. |

Well, I am hoping that Lewis is taking lots of notes today, from the winning teams. And tomorrow, the Skins get their first blowout of the Zorn years. (He deserves at least one as a HC) |
Re: Week 7: Around the NFL
SD put up 311 yds against the Chiefs in the first half. :(

Hey it just shows our incredible offense exhausted their defense. SD ought to send us thank you cards! |

If only Zorn had a decent O-line or qb |

To bad we aren't SD....ole Norvell is a good offensive mind and they have a QB. And YES KC, is that bad! |

The Skins haven't played down to anyone. They're just terrible. Chargers lighting up the pathetic Chiefs. |

In Kansas City. Brutal to watch all the Offense out there when your team can only muster 6 points against the worst D in the league at home. Bucs, Rams, Chiefs all getting blown out. |
Re: Week 7: Around the NFL
Offense? I heard that. Gimme a second to look at my dictonary.
|
Re: Week 7: Around the NFL
Alex Smith is looking great for the 49ers today, I'm happy for him. A lot of people gave up on him, seems like him and Vernon Davis are developing good chemistry.
|
Re: Week 7: Around the NFL
I placed my bet on Houston, so stop the Niners right now.
|
Re: Week 7: Around the NFL
The other thing is Michael Crabtree so far has 5 catches for 59 yards, isn't that the equivalent of what Thomas and Kelly have combined in 6 games? Crabtree has held out and hasn't practiced much. What's our receivers excuse? VD 3 td's so far.
|
Re: Week 7: Around the NFL
Mike Tomlin just looks bad ass with his aviators ha ha
|
Re: Week 7: Around the NFL
Wow, what a game. Adrian Peterson IS NOT human.
|
Re: Week 7: Around the NFL
Stupid Vikings. Two PIT-TDs that definately didnīt need to happen.

It's not our receivers fault they dont get the ball more. Everyone knows that JC checks down from Moss to Cooley to EL to RB. |
Re: Week 7: Around the NFL
Hm, Oakland :D

He's in a class of his own. No doubt! But the Viks must finally take a L as predicted! |
Re: Week 7: Around the NFL
Is it just me or does everything Dallas do exude a sense of entitlement? They are a below average team, but EVERY SINGLE positive play they make on both sides of the ball the player gets up like they are Jesus of Football.

No shit, the pukes are a middle of the road AT VERY BEST (And more like upper BOTTOM) team and you would think they are leading the NFC conference from all the BS commentary! Damn, come on Atlanta KICK THAT PUKE ASS! |
Re: Week 7: Around the NFL
Dallas is showing us that we really hav no shot at beating them this yr!!

We need to beat them . The Bengals and Dolphins look good today . |
Re: Week 7: Around the NFL
Kinda funny criticising the Cowboys for being middle of the road.
Middle of the road is a lofty goal way out of the reach of our team for the foreseeable future. |
Re: Week 7: Around the NFL
As much as I love football it's so damn depressing to watch because it's a constant reminder how truly awful the Redskins are, especially on offense. Other teams move the ball and find ways to score points, often w/ players i've never even heard of. Our offense is the worst in the league from what I can tell...
|
Re: Week 7: Around the NFL
How many teams scored over 30 points this week :(
|
Re: Week 7: Around the NFL
The Saints are impressive both on offense, and Gregg has done a hell of a job with the D. Now they have to earn there check being up by 6 with 2 minutes left in the game, and Miami's ball.
The Saints 30 points in the second half, holy crap! |
Re: Week 7: Around the NFL
and how many special team/Def. TD's did we see this week. Minnesota lost cuz Pitt got 2 Def TDs. NO locked their games on Def TD.
Like Goat said. Watching these other teams shows the Skins ineffectiveness in all aspects. very discouraging. |
Re: Week 7: Around the NFL
Then there were THREE: Saints, Colts, and Denver all undefeated, at week 7. The Saints and The Broncos have to be the biggest surprises.
|
Re: Week 7: Around the NFL
Watched Pitt - Vikings game, only one note, bogus tripping call, 14 point swing and Vikes should have won. Gotta love Pitt defense though. How come Skins never get those breaks.

The Panthers gave them the ball twice within their own 20, and the Skins still lost. They get breaks. They just don't do jack with them. |

Even teams with supposedly BAD Offensive lines, like the Packers, still manage to put up points week in and week out. And every week, I see Receivers catching passes without necessarily being OPEN, many of which, like you said, are absolute no-names. Receivers who can't get open and bad Offensive lines are such feeble excuses. Maybe if the Skins were only managing 17-20 points a game, but there's no excuse for 6 points against the Chiefs. To be that bad, you have to suck at everything, from top to bottom. |
