New "Uniform" idea
 

Here is my Idea. With the team sucking so bad and the need to blow this whole operation up and start from scratch they should look into refreshing the uniforms, not a radical redesign just an update similar to what the Dolphins, 49ers and Eagles have done, a leave the helmet alone! Here is what I came up with….

I actually like it, it's got an updated feel without going overboard. I really like the 'R' on the sleeves.

Is that our new QB? :)

Really like it. Since I have always liked the Spear, what about replacing one or both of the R's on the sleeves with a spear. I wouldn't mind going back to the Spear helmet either, but agree that the helmet could easily stay the same.

Nicely done. Like others have said, the script R on the shoulder is sweet, I also like the color on the sleeve... the gold in particular.

I always hated how our official colors are the B&G, yet we're using YELLOW as a secondary color. I know its been like this for a long time, but I wouldn't mind seeing the yellow in our unis change to gold instead. Like the facemask, helmet, the stripes on the jerseys and pants too. This is why I really, REALLY liked the 2002 70th anniversary uniforms. Its no wonder Zorn was confused about it when he got here, honestly.

The uniform designs are great! But these beauties are not for next week or this season. After we get the new GM and HC in place, then we should have new uniforms to symbolize a new era of winning football.

Seriously, Summo, these designs are outstanding! They are updated while preserving the classic look of the Redskins franchise. I truly think you should send them to Dan Snyder for his consideration.

P.S. The shoe design could use a little oomph! If you feel like doing it, I'd like to see what you could come up with for them.

Whether it's wishful thinking or not (about the new GM), I completely agree with you. I know tradition is huge for most skins fans, but you've got to admit that that era is over. I was only 2 years old when they last won the super bowl, so I hope y'all can understand why I'm not particularly attached to their current unis myself. Next season is the time to do it if it's going to happen.

Seriously, I like the unis; does the helmet still have the stripes on the top? I actually think it might look less busy without them and I would be fine with that modification to the helmet (unlike the awful feather-duster version that was pictured in the other thread).

haha hey you should be glad there are some young Redskins fans around. Just about every one of my friends are Steelers and Pats fans... well about 10 years ago all my friends were Broncos and Packers fans... young people suck.

I like these a lot but I'm also intrigued by our new QB. He already looks more comfortable in the pocket than JC...

I was at a dinner the other night and we talked about the skins doing something at the end of the year to change thing up like this... Great uniform summo you should send it to them, never know they might use it.

During that dinner I thought why not change everything the name and all just keep the colors.

I like that design.

IMO tho, i always wanted the team to go back to the 70th anniversary ones...the yellow pants and maroon top, with the helmet that had the spear. Those jerseys were the best....would love to see them now.

judging from this thread i'd say 100% we alll never agree on anything, but these uni's are sweet i really like the r on the sleeve it's got the throw back look w/o looking like retards like everyone at mile high looked a few weeks back

Great job Summo! I was thinking about this during the last game as our uni's seemed to lack any real pop. Just bland. I gotta say, I absolutely LOVE the jersey's. Amazing job really! The pants however, I think those need an upgrade.

The helmet...DON'T TOUCH IT. We have the best helmet in the league, hate to see it ruined.

I really really really like these uniforms. You have a talent sir. I'm completely on board. It does kinds look like the QB's right arm has a compound fracture of some sort tho.

Oh, here we go, excuses, excuses, excuses.....;) just having fun. I too don't know why the colors Burgandy and Yellow. Everyone says the colors are Burgandy and Gold. If anything they should start using the Gold. I might also go with some sort of metal flake Burgandy on the helmit to make it pop a little.

These Uni's are nice. Since time imagined the colors are Burgandy and Gold(Yellow), it would be nice to actually see Gold in the color scheme.
