Here's a great Seagal quote: "I am hoping that I can be known as a great writer and actor some day, rather than a sex symbol." Good luck with that.

are you talking about William Shatner or Steven Seagal? (at least Bill had Heather Locklear :) on TJ Hooker)

Re: steven seagal-lawman

If I remember correctly, Steven Segal has been serving as a deputy sheriff/police officer for sometime now in his native state. It's been at least 10 years. His martial arts ability has never been questioned, but i can tell you that his lawman status is legitimate.

I hope the show doesn't provide too much fluff. But it's inevitable that somebody trys to fight him or something and gets pwoned.

Re: steven seagal-lawman

There was a time when Seagal made a.....decent action film. Then, he went...Nicholas Cage?

Re: steven seagal-lawman

No you can't question his martial arts skills, and he even seems to be quite the sharp shooter with a pistol. The funny thing is how serious he takes himself, and how serious the show is. Think 'Cops' with a bloated Steven Seagal riding shotgun.

if anyone else actually watched it did you notice how unreasonably sweaty he got shooting guns on a range, but he is a damn good shot, not to mention his sweet ass collection of hand guns

he is pretty damn bloated, but when he was doing some of his martial arts that crap was pretty impressive, he is still pretty quick

Yeah dude sweats a lot, but he's in Louisiana, but then again he's fat as well.

Re: steven seagal-lawman

Sometimes i think maybe Segal's "ego" and seriousness all the time might be almost a self parody. He seems like a nice enough guy, and he's even spoofed himself in a few things(Mountain Dew Commercial, The Onion Movie, etc..).

People who know him say good enough things about him. I know a long time ago he had connections to the mafia, but i think that was resolved long ago..

He actually looked in OK shape for his last couple of DVDs that came out in 2008, but he looks a little paunchy again. It's a shame because he's at an age where he could get in good shape again easily...

Hell that clip they showed him shotting the target in the head was only like 15' away and my mom could do that. You know your acting career is coming to an end when you do a show like this but what do I know I had to click on the link just to see who he was.

This Show is Sad.... I remember a few years ago, Steven Seagal tried that shit with his body guard when he was a action movie star, and his body guard choked his ass half to death.... tramp

i hope you watched the most recent episode this week, seagal pulled over an elderly couple probably 75 beacase they were driving down the road with their rear hatch door open because they had a board sticking out and they also left their f-ing passenger side rear door open. they hit the sirens and the old lady in the front seat flicked off the cops thinking it was someone honking at them because she said multiple people had been honking at them. needless to say the old bag and her husband had no f-ing idea they had their god damn door wide open and people were just trying to let them know their door was open, and all they did was flick people off. f-ing old people

I remember hearing the Gene Lebell story, but both Seagall and Lebell have said it's just a hollywood rumour.

He runs with bad cats, but his martial arts skills are 2nd to none.

Re: steven seagal-lawman

Did anybody here anything more about these charges Seagal is facing about sexually assaulting some model?

Tell you what though. I have been wanting to learn Akido for a long time and if I ever had the chance to take the class with Seagal teaching it, I'd jump at the opportunity! I'm sure he probably doesn't teach the classes anymore (considering how out of shape he is now) but look up his classes on you tube.
