Re: Zorn and Cutler Finally Together?
I hope JZ scores the deal. He's a good guy.....just over is head in DC
|
Re: Zorn and Cutler Finally Together?
Zorn gained valuable experience the two years he spent here. With the shortage of good coaches in the league, someone will gladly take advantage of that experience. Even those that became SB coaches had to start somewhere.
|
Re: Zorn and Cutler Finally Together?
Who cares about Either one of these guys.. Good for Zorn I guess but I really don't care.
|
Re: Zorn and Cutler Finally Together?
they'd probably be wise just to let him be the qb coach for now at least
|
Re: Zorn and Cutler Finally Together?
It will be interesting if they want Zorn for OC rather than qb coach. I'm glad that other opportunities have appeared so quickly for Zorn, regardless.
|
Re: Zorn and Cutler Finally Together?
It'd be kind of funny if Zorn and Cutler were united and they totally took off. Snyder's going to be like "shit, I could have had this in DC"
Seems like an odd match to me though |
Re: Zorn and Cutler Finally Together?
I'd like to see Zorn with a QB that actually has some talent.
|
Re: Zorn and Cutler Finally Together?
Zorn as an OC is going to be a failure. As QB coach cool, but OC. Fail.

Hey Now! Campbell is the best 5-10 yd passer I've ever seen... :) |
Re: Zorn and Cutler Finally Together?
Could be interesting, but I still see Zorn ending up in Cleveland with his daddy.
|
Re: Zorn and Cutler Finally Together?
Interesting no doubt. I mean Cutler seems past the development stage, just that he needs to make better decisions, especially in the redzone.
I would think Zorn is looking more at OC. |
Re: Zorn and Cutler Finally Together?
I didn't realize Gilbride got fired. Giants don't make the playoffs one year and they start firing coaches. Wow.
|
Re: Zorn and Cutler Finally Together?
I think Gilbride is a candidate in Oakland for a head coaching job.

Gilbride is a free agent. His contract with the NYG expired. |
Re: Zorn and Cutler Finally Together?

I don't get it.. I mean I know that you mean cousin... but what's the relevance? |
Re: Zorn and Cutler Finally Together?
Given that Zorn helped coached up Hasselbeck into a legitimate QB, arguably a franchise QB, and coached up Jason Campbell to "somewhat more competent", I think the Bears are serious about their interest since Cutler has not played well at all in Chicago.
|
Re: Zorn and Cutler Finally Together?
The idea of Zorn as offensive coordinator is laughable. The only thing he is capable of is playing catch with QBs during warm-ups.

yeah lol.. secondary and d-line injuries out the ass, it's no wonder the D wasn't as hot |
Re: Zorn and Cutler Finally Together?
What would be the reaction if Zorn said "Well we tried to get Cutler in Washington last year so I'm glad to be working with him now" if he gets the job?
|
Re: Zorn and Cutler Finally Together?

Yeah, no one throws a prettier pick than that Jay Cutler, he's pretty damn talented at throwing to the other team. |
Re: Zorn and Cutler Finally Together?
Zorn doesn't have any chance to be anything other than a QB coach in Chicago... and if he gets the job, I think its possible that it was Zorn, not Cerrato or Snyder, who was dissatisfied with Campbell and wanted to land Cutler in the offseason. It could also imply that Shanahan's and Zorn's version of the WCO are more similar than most of us (or atleast I) thought... which could be good news for our offense in 2010.

He has a high completion percentage, if you count the interceptions. :) |
Re: Zorn and Cutler Finally Together?
"Zorn could serve as either the quarterbacks’ coach, the offensive coordinator, or both."
:yeahright |
Re: Zorn and Cutler Finally Together?
Zorn deserves another chance in the NFL

You would rather have Campbell over Cutler? |
Re: Zorn and Cutler Finally Together?
yea... GL to Zorn elsewhere.
|
Re: Zorn and Cutler Finally Together?
To be Honest Cutler would have had a better time with our WR corps and RBs than the Bears this past year.

Absolutely. Especially considering what was given up to get Cutler. |
Re: Zorn and Cutler Finally Together?
