Would you take McNabb?
With all the rumors spreading around that the Eagles may have to trade McNabb to shore up cap space and take care of some of their glaring needs on the defensive side, would you as a Redskins fan be satisfied with us possibly being involved with a trade for McNabb?

Re: Would you take McNabb?
McNabb is too old to be worth giving up much for in a trade, and i doubt the eagles would trade him to us anyways. if he were a free agent, we should pounce on him.
I'm personally hoping Tom Brady or Peyton Manning decide to let their contracts expire and become free agents after this season... although theres about a 0.00001% chance of that happening. |
Re: Would you take McNabb?
I guess McNabb could always be traded for the right price, but I wouldn't want to give up the picks it would take to get him.
|
Re: Would you take McNabb?
no band aids...........please
|
Re: Would you take McNabb?
only take him if we remove campbell and are grooming bradford or clausen. One, two years, and gone.
|
Re: Would you take McNabb?
I wouldn't. Eagles would only give him up for a high price... and that price (especially in a divisional trade) would certainly not be worth it. Makes no sense.
|
Re: Would you take McNabb?
In a uncapped year why would the eagles worry about his contract? There is a reason that he is optioned to stay next year. Its the last year of his contract in a non capped year. NO CAP, NO CAP SPACE, NO CAP RAMIFICATIONS- Invalid argument!!

Re: Would you take McNabb?
We all ready have O line issues and now you want a QB that pukes on his center.

Re: Would you take McNabb?
The Eagles don't need to trade McNabb to shore up cap space. Whoever started that rumor is mistaken. The Eagles might trade McNabb, though I think Kolb is more likely, to add some defensive help if they feel that's the last piece they need to get Reid and McNabb that elusive ring.
And no I wouldn't trade for him. |
Re: Would you take McNabb?
I would take McNabb for the right price. The Eagles need to dump him already. They've had to many chances and never made it over the final hump. I'm not in anyway blaming McNabb because Philly has always had average offensive players.

To answer your question would I take him, yes I'd take him but I would not trade for him. The Eagles would never trade him to us anyway as long as Andy Reid is their coach. I question McNabb's decision making anymore, some of his problem could be his supporting cast, and the fact he's been mssing more than 50% of his offense in the absence of Westbrook. |
Re: Would you take McNabb?
Enough with over the hill players. Out with old, in with the new.
|
Re: Would you take McNabb?
Have you been watching this team for the last decade?
|
Re: Would you take McNabb?
Hmm, do i want a qb that chokes under pressure and has a habit of throwing bounce passes to his wr's? Uh, no.

I don't think Westbrook is 50% of their offense anymore and he is probably going to play more of a suport role over the next couple of years. |

no!!!

I don't think Westbrook is 50% of their offense anymore and he is probably going to play more of a suport role over the next couple of years.
I'd be pretty surprised if Westbrook is an Eagle next year. He's due nearly $8M and can't stay healthy anymore, plus he's an OLD 31. The Iggles have showed no qualms with cutting aging vets who've been with the team for years- Runyan, Tra Thomas, and Dawkins come to mind. I think McNabb however will be an Eagle for another year, maybe two. If he's not though, I don't want him. I'd rather not give up high draft picks for a guy who turns 34 this year. |
Re: Would you take McNabb?
I just don't want the Eagles to ever win a ring. That's the one thing I know I can always say to an Eagles fan.
|
Re: Would you take McNabb?
No only because he's like 34!! He's done , I just want to start fresh
|
Re: Would you take McNabb?
Hell no.

so you don't want campbell either? |
so you don't want campbell either?
Campbell doesn't choke under pressure, he chokes because of the defensive lineman that is on top of him 3 seconds after snapping the ball. |

Even with adequate protection he has an issue in long-field situations. Not completely his fault, just pointing it out. |

Re: Would you take McNabb?
No way no how!
|
Re: Would you take McNabb?
of course
|
Re: Would you take McNabb?
I would not trade for him but sign him for the league minimum next year if available. Keeping in mind no salary cap.
|
Re: Would you take McNabb?
I think McNabb will be traded this off-season. He is up there in years, and he has said before that he would like to play in Chicago...

If he wanted to play in Chicago he wouldn't have extended his contract. |

Re: Would you take McNabb?
HELL NO! why would we want a qb that cant win big, who is old and cracks under pressure in big games. In my humble opinon this is a horseshit idea to even consider.
|
Re: Would you take McNabb?
The Eagles wouldn't trade a QB in there own division.

Better then a qb who can't win the little or big games. It will never happen without giving up high picks. Without losing picks i would take it in a heartbeat. Maybe not his best statistical year but he had a great year save last two games. Not to get too much offtrack, i would love to see JC's numbers this year minus his garbagetime stats. |
