Divisional round predictions
I (like many of you) was horrible in my picks for the Wild Card weekend. I even saw a couple people go 0-4! I hate making playoff predictions when the Redskins aren't in the playoffs but I'm still a football fan and I have nothing better to do except maybe think of a new CB nickname. I missed that discussion but looks like it was a good one (thanks Gmanc711 for your thread or I might have never seen that other Pineaple thread :food-smil) Very Interesting stuff :) but anyways my predictions are:
Saints over Cards 41-34 (in another great offensive game) Vikes over Cowboys 31-24 (Vikes get back on track.... Cowboys Lose!!) Colts over Ravens 28-17 (MVP leads the Colts to 1st win since a month ago) Jets over Chargers 28-24 (Jets defense help upset Chargers) |
Re: Divisional round predictions
The Cards saved me from an 0-4 wildcard weekend.
My "don't take my word for it" predictions this week are: Vikings 24 Cowboys 17 Saints 31 Cards 27 Colts 30 Ravens 17 Chargers 27 Jets 16 |

I see you predicting no upsets huh? I had to throw one in there so I went with the Jets but I know that's not very probable |
Re: Divisional round predictions
Vikings 31
Cowboys 10 Saints 38 Cards 28 Colts 20 Ravens 17 Chargers 21 Jets 14 |

Yeah I'm playing favs, but I really believe those are the best teams. Of course it rarely works out that way but we'll see. Last weekend I really wanted to pick the Ravens, and even though I was pretty sure Dallas would win I just couldn't bring myself to pick them. |
Re: Divisional round predictions
Cowboys 33
Vikings 31 (makes me want to puke saying they'll win) Colts 24 Ravens 16 Saints 49 Cardinals 45 (I could easily see the cardinals winning this one though and going on that run like they did last year) Chargers 23 Jets 14 |
Re: Divisional round predictions
I'm not even going to watch the Cowboys game. It's only going to make me mad.
That being said, I'll take the Saints, Colts and Jets for the upset of the week. Not picking on the Vikes/Cowboys game. |
Re: Divisional round predictions
Vikings, Ravens, Chargers, and Saints. Easy Week.
|
Re: Divisional round predictions
I tend to pick the teams I want to win so...
Cowboys vs. Vikings-Cowboys right now are the better team and they should win...but Peterson gets his groove back and Minnesota wins Cardinals vs. Saints-I want to see a Favre vs. Warner NFC championship and Warner is going to shred that Saints D. Cards win Ravens vs. Colts-This is the toughest one to predict. I'll take the Colts Jets vs. Chargers-I'm kind of on the Jets bandwagon. After so many years of being repeatedly exposed to NY and NE teams I'm getting hooked on the Jets. So go Jets! |
Re: Divisional round predictions
I did it last week and really hate to do it this weel but:
Cowboys over the Vikings- too much heat on Brett and he has a few ints. God I hope I'm wrong Colts over the Ravens- hard to bet against PM Cards over the Saints- I think we exposed the Saints and KW is money in the playoffs Jets over the Chargers- this is my week up set |
Re: Divisional round predictions
Colts
Chargers Saints Vikes I don't know if I have ever rooted as hard for the Vikes as I will this week. |

All of a sudden everyone around me is a Jets fan, I'm like where have you been all this time? NY'ers are jumping on their bandwagon hard and heavy, it's so annoying. I was at an AHL game last Sat. night and people in the crowd were giving each other updates on the game, even saw a few Jets jerseys in the crowd. I'm like, if you're such a big fan what the hell are you doing at a minor league hockey game?! Fan my ass. |
Re: Divisional round predictions
F the Cowboys. I can never pick the Girls. I'm going with Vikings.
The Cardinals cannot play defense, I'll take the Saints. The Colts have taken too much time off, I like the Ravens. The Jets are bums. They play in a bum city and they will be whacked this weekend. Put me down for the Chargers. |

Of the teams in contention right now they are one of the few I wouldn't mind seeing winning it all. I've always kind of liked them but I don't fervently root for them |

Re: Divisional round predictions
Colts
Chargers Cards The other team also starts with a "C". I can't bring myself to type it but it's obviously not the Vikings. The Vikings have turned their offense into a passing offense neglecting one of their best weapons...AP. If all they do is pass...that other team will pin their ears back and be all over them. This pick is for that flaw in the Vikings offense. I hope I'm wrong and I hope they use AP and wear down the defense. I've never done this...a very sad day indeed. Get it together Vikings! Aw screw it. The Vikings kick their ass! |
Re: Divisional round predictions
After last week's suprising outcomes, i'm not picking scores, just winners.
Ravens - The Colts are waaaaay better than the Patriots, but the Ravens are a complete football team. No way the Colts D can stop the Ravens running game, but Peyton Manning will keep this close. I think this game is going to see a lot of loooooong 12-play, 8-minute Ravens drives, followed by Manning leading the Colts to TDs in 2 minutes or less. Chargers - The Jets don't stand a chance. Cardinals - Would not be shocked if both teams score 35+ points Cowboys - Oh Brett, why do you have to let me down? I'm picking the Ravens and Cowboys for the Superbowl, although i'd much rather see Viikings take on the Colts. As much as I hate to say it, the Cowboys are the most complete team in the NFL. I hope the Ravens find a way to beat the snot out of them, though. |
Re: Divisional round predictions
Arizona 23-34 New Orleans
Baltimore 17-24 Indianapolis Dallas 20-24 Minnesota NY Jets 21-20 San Diego |
Re: Divisional round predictions
chargers
ravens vikings saints these are the teams i hope win. |
Re: Divisional round predictions
Cards 34
Saints 27 Vikings 37 Cowgirls 17 Colts 24 Ravens 21 Chargers 27 Jets 20 |
Re: Divisional round predictions
philip rivers is currently the best qb in the nfl and will beat the crap out of the sorry ass jets, and the chargers will win the super bowl. and dallass will lose this weekend, ravens will beat the colts and the cards saints will be a shoot out don't know who will win that one but i'd be betting cards
|
Re: Divisional round predictions
I see the Chargers winning it all. Hopefully the girls get stomped down this week.
|
Re: Divisional round predictions
Chargers 27 jets 14 ..... Viks 28 Boys 23 ...... Saints 40 Cards 31 ..... Colts 23 Ravens 10
|
Re: Divisional round predictions
chargers vikings cardinals ravens
|
Re: Divisional round predictions
Jets in an upset win
Vikes of course with Jared Allen knocking Romo out of the game Cardinals Colts I really hope Colts take it all, Peyton is too good a player to have just one SB |
Re: Divisional round predictions
Surprised to see so many Ravens predictions with Flacco clearly not 100%. I'm not sure they can rely on him for very much.
|
Re: Divisional round predictions
I was 0-4 last week, so I'm trying to duplicate my winless streak...
Chargers Colts Cardinals Cowboys |

exactly, that's what's driving my thinking..Ravens defense is phenomenal but Manning is going to put up 25-27 points without breaking a sweat and I don't think that Flacco is going to be able to lead the Ravens offense to more than that. |

I'm surprised, too, given that the Colts are at home and not long ago were undefeated. |

Ravens pass D is suspect, But so is the Indy Run D. I suspect it could be similar to the game Miami played against Indy, where Baltimore has a huge ToP advantage, and still loses because Manning connects on several 1 or 2 and done drives for TD's |

Re: Divisional round predictions
The only 2 teams I feel confident about are the pokes (hate to say it) & chargers. The cowpokers are playing complete games lately, all aspects of their team are on. Wish that everyone hadn't started talking about their december decline! The only way Minnesota wins that game is some big plays off turnovers, or if their o line can get their mojo back. Those guys seemed to look older than Farve as the season ended.
The Chargers are looking good as well & I'm pretty certain they'll whoop the ravens. Other than that, the other games are tougher to call. I'll go w/the Colts but am not as confident. Ditto the Saints. |

Well maybe they can find another QB to complete 4 passes :silly: I doubt Rice will get 7.2 yds/carry with no pass game this week like he did last weekend either |

Favre "guaranteed" a win so the Cowboys are as good as done we don't need to worry about them no more :silly: Favre makes an indirect guarantee | ProFootballTalk.com |

Re: Divisional round predictions
I believe that the Saints will have a 35 to 14 lead over the Cards with 10:36 to play in the 3rd quarter.
