T.I. preparing to drop new album
I'm probably the only one who cares around here but I'm bored right now and I'm gona post it :) He's one of my favorite artists and he became my favorite rapper when I saw that video where he was showing respect to Sean Taylor and if you guys haven't heard Dead and Gone he also mentions his name at the end of the song but he had a lot of respect for Sean and I believe I read somewhere that they were friends and would of loved to go to his funeral but he was in jail, but anyways looking forward to hearing his new album

Re: T.I. preparing to drop new album
Who is T.I.?
|
Re: T.I. preparing to drop new album
Talent Impaired. hes a radio rapper. sorry to hate chevy but most people my age who grew up to true hip hop of the 90's really have a dislike for these non-talent jingle radio rappers. i was forced to have to associate with these wanna-be radio rappers for about a year in LA. not on TI's level of success but guys signed to major record deals trying to be the next TI.
i got chuckles when i would ask them about true underground hip hop guys like brother ali or mf doom and they wouldnt have a clue to who they were. |

I knew that not many ppl here would be interested but just putting it out there in case someone knows him or cares :cool-smil T.I. is the only "radio rapper" I like. I especially can't stand hearing 50cent but that's another story :). I also like listening to a lot of underground rap from the 90's so I ain't hating on you :cool-smil |
Re: T.I. preparing to drop new album
His Album will be hot, but I won't buy it.

Re: T.I. preparing to drop new album
Is he any relation to Magnum PI?

Re: T.I. preparing to drop new album
TI is alright, but does his "dropping" of a new album actually warrant a thread? I could drop my album "Who Gives a Shit" tomorrow but would anyone actually care?

Now, kids have redefined hip hop into hip pop: [YT]iOJELXkQGJs&feature=popular[/YT] WTF is this?!
that was horrible...still some peeps putting out hip hop gotta look hard these days...Ghostface, Outkast, Mos Def, some Clispe, some Roots, new Raekwon, Nas still putting out a decent product. Old Skool: Tribe, the Coup, Biggie, Jay-Z, Eric B & Rakim, Snoop, Wu-Tang, Pharcyde...that stuff was classic... |
Re: T.I. preparing to drop new album

What's an album or a CD? I only know 8-track... |
Re: T.I. preparing to drop new album
Well Hip Hop is mainstream now, so of course it is gonna be more pop inspired. Even back in the day, they might have sounded more genuine. But it was always bout the paper.

An album is a collection of recorded songs, it can drop on any format. And I'm a 90's Hiphop guy too, but I don't think it's fair to just write TI off because he doesn't sound like MF Doom. His sound is commercial, sure, but at his best he's a major league lyricist (although whatever u like is the worst song I've ever heard) |

If we're talking crazy lyricists of the present, I'd give that title to cats like Celph-Titled, Esoteric, Immortal Tech, Murs, etc... I think they'd rhyme circles around TI (but this is just imo, of course). Funny you mention Doom too... dudes got crazy lyrics and wordplay. But I liked his delivery a lot more when he was with KMD. He just sounds real monotone and off-beat nowadays. |

Edit: oh wow, apparently the chick in the video was shot in the neck back in Sep. Re: T.I. preparing to drop new album
Okay but there are still some good rappers. Snoop is still going strong, Jay-Z is of course blowing up the charts constantly and then.. There's Kanye. Who is widely hated, but you gotta give him credit, he sells records.
But I guess Snoop and Jay falls into the 90's rappers category. If we should be talking about anyone's CDs I think they deserve a thread more than T.I. And not everyone is a Soulja Boy rapper. Cause damn, he stinks. and dude, remember the Stanky Legg? Phew, thank God that song was merely a flash in the pan. |

Exactly. I saw this thread title and thought, "there may be never have a been a thread topic I cared less about than that." (Aside from all the video game threads). I, too, am a 90's hip hop guy myself. Still listen to it all the time, especially in the gym. TI? Yeahno. |
Re: T.I. preparing to drop new album
Considering a recent thread asking why there aren't more open lanes at Walmart made it to its fourth page, I kind of think its anything goes at this point in the PL.

I enjoy his music, like I said I put up the thread because It's news to me. I like T.I. and I have no way of knowing what anyone here might like so I made the thread because I enjoy his music. I'm sorry if you don't like T.I. and made you come on here and type about how this thread is a waste of time nd bla bla bla (but apparently coming to a thread that you don't like and replying isn't a waste :)) I've seen some crazy threads on here like that Walmart thread that was mentioned and when I see a thread that I think is stupid or that doesn't interest me I dont find the need to go on there and type about how I disaprove the thread but thats just me. If it doesn't interest you I believe you have the option to not open the thread or even reply but to each his own I guess if it makes you happy to :food-smil. I promise I won't post about T.I. any more and I'm sorry for the huge inconvenience it was just something that was of interest to me but I'll try to keep it up to par with the other PL threads :) |
Re: T.I. preparing to drop new album
Yeah it's always funny how someone will waste time posting to tell you what a waste a thread is.
|

But how will I know how stupid a thread is without someone telling me how stupid it is? |
Re: T.I. preparing to drop new album
When you see a thread with no replies, I think that tells the story
|
Re: T.I. preparing to drop new album
Speaking of Jayz
He is headlining Coachella music festival this year! I can't wait! |
