Re: AFC/NFC Championship Weekend '10
Nice blitz by the Jets. Rex is bringing the nasty I see.
|
Re: AFC/NFC Championship Weekend '10
I said I like the Jets defense, if they can continue the kind of play they did on the first series thay have a chance.

Re: AFC/NFC Championship Weekend '10
Is it me or has the efficiency of NFL kickers severely diminished? I remember when anything under 45 yards was almost guaranteed by a solid kicker. Now they're missing them as If they're 50+ yard FG's.

We've grown acoustomed to the thought that it's almost automatic, but from 48-50 yds. it's not as easy as it looks. That's why kickers live on the edge and have up's and down's. |
Re: AFC/NFC Championship Weekend '10
Sanchez 1, haters 0.

Re: AFC/NFC Championship Weekend '10
Holy Shit. Mark Sanchez is taken this thing over!

Re: AFC/NFC Championship Weekend '10
Sanchez 2, haters 0.

Re: AFC/NFC Championship Weekend '10
Mark is turning into a nice player. His path would have been different if he were a Redskin. This team was not ready for a rookie qb. Hell behind our line he would have sucked! LOL...

To the 3 other people on this board who picked the Jets! I salute you all:)

I picked them on another board. Learn German and I can prove it ;) |
Re: AFC/NFC Championship Weekend '10
I didn't pic this game. I wanted the Jets to win, but I imagined that the Colts would dominate. 17-6 Jets.. Really kinda shocked. Of course thier is plenty of time to make this a 17-13 game by half time. Peyton is great at the 2 minute drill. something we as skins fans don't really know much about.
|
Re: AFC/NFC Championship Weekend '10
Got a long way to go yet, this thing is going to go for four quarters. The Jets are playing well and it's not really surprising.
|
Re: AFC/NFC Championship Weekend '10
I said this all year, the Jets give me hope for a fast turn around.. And how many of u still think JC is better than Sanchez?
|
Re: AFC/NFC Championship Weekend '10
Wow that was pretty quick. :) Ok can Sanchez run a 1:35 drill?
|
Re: AFC/NFC Championship Weekend '10
BTW how do the Colts get good wr reciever play? It does not matter who they send out there. Garcon? Collie? Who the hell are these guys? I never heard much of them till they donned thier Colts unis.
|
Re: AFC/NFC Championship Weekend '10
Maybe Peyton has something to do with this? Thier Offensive scheme?

The difference is Sanchez plays with the Jets who have an offensive line, Jason Campbell plays behind a sive. Sanchez with the Redskins is on IR after week three. |

That's all Peyton. Notice how that offense comes to a complete halt when Manning isn't under center? |

Re: AFC/NFC Championship Weekend '10
Feeley is gonna lose this game for the jets. that's 6 left on the field.
|
Re: AFC/NFC Championship Weekend '10

Peyton can't catch the ball for them, these guys are pretty good. |

Kickers can be unrealiable at times, that's why you always try to score TD's. These playoff games have demonstrated just how unreliable they can be. |

Still recievers are much more dependent on QB's then QB's are on receivers. Most of the guys Peyton has thrown to throughout his career would have been out of football much sooner if they had played with someone else. |

True, but lets take Brandon Stokley for instance. His production decreased significantly once he left the Colts. Or what about the Vikings? Sidney Rice would be a nobody if Tavarius Jackson was the QB. |
Re: AFC/NFC Championship Weekend '10
Wow, this is the first playoff game where I've seen Peyton lead his team back after being down by double digits. Not a good sign for the Jets.

Same with Percy Harvin. No way is he OROY without Farve. [quote=Kalisto2010;657881]Wow, this is the first playoff game where I've seen Peyton lead his team back after being down by double digits. Re: AFC/NFC Championship Weekend '10
I see your point.

I stand corrected. It's his second comeback from a double digit lead in his long illustrious career. |
Re: AFC/NFC Championship Weekend '10
I don't see how Peyton gets so much time and room to throw.

They don't want to blitz Peyton all day, he'll throw for 400 yds. if they do. He's figured out what the Jets are doing. |

Combination of Howard Mudds coaching, Jeff Saturdays leadership, and Peytons ability to call the right protections. The third factor is something a lot of experts attribute to Mannings ability to avoid injury throughout his career. On a separate note you guys are seeing now why I want the brass in the Redskins front office to draft a potential franchise QB if they think they see one at 4. See a dominant O-Line is awesome, but having a franchise QB for 10-15 years is golden. I don't see Campbell ever getting to that level where teams are terrified of him. We need to find someone that can strike that kind of fear into opponents, similar to what Ovechkin does for the Capitals. |

They drafted Peyton with the mind-set of protection, the Redskins mind-set was the reverse order, they chose to get a QB before they got an O-line....Therefore the results are reverse. |

Franchise QB is the catalyst to being a consistent contender. No way will we not draft a QB in the first round this year. |

What do you mean by saying they drafted him with protection in mind? The Colts only drafted one offensive lineman in 10 years prior to drafting Manning. They didn't take another offensive lineman in the first round until 2008. I didn't see Sean Peyton draft offensive lineman to build his offensive Juggernaut either. Can you name any team in the modern era, that has a top rate offense, that consistently drafted O-lineman high in the draft? |
Re: AFC/NFC Championship Weekend '10
According to Jay Glazer's pregame report. Gregg Williams had Swine Flu this week. Was striken badly on Monday and Tuesday, but still worked through it. I am not making this shit up either. What shitty luck to get H1N1 6 days before the biggest game of your career.
