re: Fletcher appreciation (named to Pro Bowl!)
Congrats Fletch...on both counts.
|
re: Fletcher appreciation (named to Pro Bowl!)
much deserved...still he should have been to a LOT more pro bowls this past decade...I mean hell, he was the leader for tackles of the DECADE!
|
re: Fletcher appreciation (named to Pro Bowl!)
Better late than never and hopefully he'll win NFL MOTY award next.
|
re: Fletcher appreciation (named to Pro Bowl!)
Does it really count? Just saying.
|
re: Fletcher appreciation (named to Pro Bowl!)
Of course it counts! He is still considered inthe top 3 MLB's in the NFC! Congrats to London.

My guess is Fletcher is happy about it:
@LFletcher59 12 years and 1 Overtime later...FINALLY Pro Bowl bound. Well worth the wait! God is great!!!
Congrats to him on both counts. |
re: Fletcher appreciation (named to Pro Bowl!)
So tired of this whole Fletcher Pro Bowl thing. This year it's even more of a watered down joke cause it's the week of the SB. Glad he made it so now everyone can stop crying about it.
|
re: Fletcher appreciation (named to Pro Bowl!)
Congratulations London Fletcher - Baker. He's one of the hardest workers in the game and should have been voted a starter in the PB several times for a long time. I'm sure he'll relish the oportunity. BLTN

re: Fletcher appreciation (named to Pro Bowl!)

Yeah. I kind of feel extra bad for him on accounts that he is a "contingent" probowl player, its in Miami, and its during the season still. Hopefully he will be back when its a real probowl in Hawaii or someplace a little nicer. |
re: Fletcher appreciation (named to Pro Bowl!)
Not sure it really matters where the game is or when it's being played. It's the recognition that matters to him most and he finally got it. Sucks that it took this long.

Good, now I can change my avatar.
|
re: Fletcher appreciation (named to Pro Bowl!)
Him and Fred Taylor should make up the annual "I got screwed by the Pro Bowl Voters Thanks to the Madden kids" team.
Still glad to know that we have potentially two or three more years from Fletcher . Ironically he seems to have outlasted Antonio Pierce. |
re: Fletcher appreciation (named to Pro Bowl!)
And, just to make sure I still have faith in humanity, he got in ahead of that blowhard, Keith Brooking.
|
re: Fletcher appreciation (named to Pro Bowl!)
Happy to see him get the recognition.
|
Re: Fletcher appreciation (named to Pro Bowl!)
The way he got in was was wrong, but thank God he did get the pro bowl and he should have been in years way long before this. Way to go, fletcher and I hope you have many more pro bowls. You have lived up to being one of the greatest and have never let us fans down. Thank you for being a the man you are and the player you are. AND also thanks for being a great captian for the team.

Re: Fletcher appreciation (named to Pro Bowl!)

|
Re: Fletcher appreciation (named to Pro Bowl!)
He's playing good 3 tackles to my count
|
Re: Fletcher appreciation (named to Pro Bowl!)
My entire college experience can be summed up by the fact that I am sitting alone in a room adjacent to the basketball arena in front of a big screen TV, that I can't get to turn on for me to watch the damn pro bowl.

Re: Fletcher appreciation (named to Pro Bowl!)

Brooking is lame and annoying at the same time. He fits perfectly in Dallas :D |

Re: Fletcher appreciation (named to Pro Bowl!)
Anyone else notice Orakpo looked lost a couple times?
|
Re: Fletcher appreciation (named to Pro Bowl!)
Fletcher ended up with 5 tackles, second only to UGH T. Newman UGH with 7.
Nice line for McNabb - 3/10 for 78 yds and an INT. :D |

He pretty much looked lost the whole game and was a waisted pick for the PB with no blitzing allowed. |
Re: Fletcher appreciation (named to Pro Bowl!)
How fitting was it for Homo to throw the game ending int.

Not sure if he was lost as much as he was just bored |
Re: Fletcher appreciation (named to Pro Bowl!)
Not to hijack the thread, but i was curious if anyone here had ideas for how the pro-bowl could be revamped to make it atleast somewhat relevant again.
personally, i cant think of any game that would actually be worth watching. i think the NFL should just name players to the "pro-bowl" and then leave it at that. |
Re: Fletcher appreciation (named to Pro Bowl!)
Was it ever relevant?
|
Re: Fletcher appreciation (named to Pro Bowl!)
The way he played the game yesterday was like it was a defining moment in his career. It was good to see him out there making plays, the guy plays the game like he could go on forever.

I bet that would make it interesting at least. Short of that, what about the winning players starts Free Agency 1 week early. Or remove the hitting/defense restrictions, and players with PB injuries are guaranteed 1 year salary. And maybe move it the week before FA starts, so that the players see it as a chance to make a mark. And keep it in Hawaii. |
