Super Bowl XLIV
It's SB week! Who you got? What are your plans for the big game?
|
Re: Super Bowl XLIV
Go Colts!
Even Archie Manning is rooting for them! |
Re: Super Bowl XLIV
I say Colts.
|
Re: Super Bowl XLIV
ill be pullin for the saints even thoo im a big fan of peyton.
me and the lady were going to go down to NO, man that place would probably be the funnest place in the world sunday night (if they win). ive always wanted to be somewhere where that place was THEY place to be for that moment, hour evening. bourbon street during and right after a saints superbowl win? forgetaboutit |
Re: Super Bowl XLIV
should be an awesome game i see us coming out on top 4-2, we are talking the big game this weekend which would be caps pens right?
as for the other game i think that one comes down to the saints secondary and i don't have a winner but i have a final score of 35-31 should be a damn good game can't wait should be a good weekend |
Re: Super Bowl XLIV
I'm behind the Colts. Love Peyton, I feel like I might be watching the best QB of all time.
|
Re: Super Bowl XLIV
love drew breese he deserves a win manning got his already
|
Re: Super Bowl XLIV
No plans yet. Probably watch it at my buddy's house with plenty of beer and food.
I'm pulling for the Saints big time. I really like Drew Brees, plus I'd like to see GW get a ring. Peyton Manning is awesome, but he's a Tennessee Volunteer so I could care less if he never wins another game. :) |
Re: Super Bowl XLIV
I like the Colts by at least 10 especially if NO plays like they did against Minn.
I'm going to a SB party at a friend's house. |
Re: Super Bowl XLIV
Colts 31-21.
|

Re: Super Bowl XLIV
Team that makes the most mistakes loses. I'm heart is rooting for the Saints but my brain is telling Colts will win. Saint's will have to play defense like the Giants did against the Pats.

PM me, I'll give you some pointers on where the best places to go SB Sunday. The regulars that I tailgate with here, (New Orleans), are having a SB party at a downtown Bar-Restaurant we rented out. $25 a person, 150 people max. Kegs of Abita amber, and Coors light, plenty of food, and wine included. Cash bar for liquor. Party starts at noon, and the bar is located along the Mardi Gras parade route downtown. Parade stand tickets are included in the $25, and the stands are located out front of the establishment. There are 2 parades rolling Sunday starting at noon. If the Saints win, which I believe they will by more than a touchdown, We will all probably start our own impromptu second line parade to the French Quarter!! Geaux Saints!!!! |
Re: Super Bowl XLIV
I wanted to Favre to get another Super Bowl, but he didn't make it, so I'm hoping that I have a good consolation prize of the Colts sending Who Dat nation back home in pain.

Re: Super Bowl XLIV
Saints by 10.
Wife and kids atre out of town so I am having friends over for a non-vegan meal of Ribs/Wings/Brats and drinking as much Vodka as my liver will tolerate. Hopefully I pass out AFTER the game AND everyone has left. |

I really can't imagine that scene. |

(the good fun type, not the ugly violent i drink alone type). the thought of partying in new orleans during the superbowl is wrenching at my id as we speak. its honestly 50-50 whether we go, i just need to get drunk and say "screw it. pack the bags hun, were goin to new orleans!". |
Re: Super Bowl XLIV
If you go to the Big Party Mountain you're going to have to tell us all about it! I've got the Colts all the way baby! Not sure completely what I'm doing but I'm sure plenty of good food will be involved. I want the Colts to win but if they don't, I'm going to live vicariously through Redskin Jim who I'm sure is going to have a HELL of a good time!!!

If you don't and they win you will be kicking yourself for years. |
Re: Super Bowl XLIV
Mardi Gras climaxes next weekend. If the Saints win the city will simply shut down for 10 days and drown in a sea of liquor.

Saints

Re: Super Bowl XLIV
The magical ride comes to an end for the Saints. We had planned to go north for the weekend but the weather is not going to cooperate.
Colts - -27 Saints - 24 |

I know exactly what you mean. A lot of people from here are going to Miami, many with no tickets, just to party and be in Miami for the SB. I honestly think that win or lose New Orleans is the place to watch the game. The town is already rounding into Mardi Gras, by Superbowl Sunday we will be into full swing. This place is going to be Disney Land for adults, alcoholics, and football fanatics!!!:headbange |
Re: Super Bowl XLIV
seems like most of you are like me...ill be wearing my brees jersey and rooting for them but i have a good feeling that the Colts will win. I like both teams so as long as its a good game i dont care who wins...i say Colts 30-28
o and im hosting a party which should be fun |
Re: Super Bowl XLIV
Nice story Saints, but I have to believe the Colts will blow them out. When was the last time a team played as bad as the Saints did against Minn in a championship game and won? I'm predicting a 3 int performance from Brees and a 34-17 Colts win.
|
Re: Super Bowl XLIV
yes the vodka sounds good right now!! go drew breese
|
Re: Super Bowl XLIV
Rooting for the Saints
|
Re: Super Bowl XLIV
Dynamite where are you? Please come set the record straight.

Re: Super Bowl XLIV
The only thing I am worried about is the officiating. Last few SB's have had too many yellow flags that killed off momentum of the eventual loser. Let the players play the game, unless it is really flagrant, backoff from the nit picky holding calls.

I am worried about it as well, I'm sure they will call anything around Peyton after Favre last week and Grilliams words this week. I really hope they let these guys play and not a flag fest. |
Re: Super Bowl XLIV
Super Bowl thoughts:
Both Teams deserve to be here; there were numerous times this year when I'd see Saint's or Colts games and say "The ____ are the best team in the NFL". Even though the saints should have lost to the vikings, they still deserve to be there. I will say though to remember this: The last time the Colts and Saint's played, the Colts won 41-10. Sure the Saints didn't have Darren Sharper and the Colts had a healthy Dwight Freeney, and the Saints corners were not that great, but still, 41-10. That said who do I want to win this game....I honeslty don't care, they're both deserving, and if New Orleans wins they get their first ever. If Indy wins it pretty much secures Peyton as maybe the Best ever, and makes him 1 ring behind Brady. Who do I think will win...Colts 38 New Orleans 28 |
Re: Super Bowl XLIV
I'll honestly be happy with either team winning. I'd love to see Manning win another and obviously New Orleans is a great story for many reasons. I'll probably find myself rooting for whoever has the ball. I just have a feeling about the Saints though.
|
Re: Super Bowl XLIV
Jim Sorgi already has his ring, it's time for Brunell to get one. Plus it would be kind of cool to see Lombardi's grandson (Joe-Saints QB coach) hoisting the Lombardi
But I think I'm going to be rooting for the Colts. I see a Peyton led 4th Qtr comeback and Indy wins 27-21 Chargers fans must be just thrilled by the way, Eli wins a Super Bowl and now Brees is now one game away |
Re: Super Bowl XLIV
Payton = Poetry in motion.
However I'm rooting for the underdog. Saints haven't won a SB. Lastly although I think Payton is an awsome QB I can't stand all the man crush for him and his family from the media. It reminds me of all the Dallas media crush. :vomit: GO SAINTS |
why?
Well Brunell has been a well respected QB with a strong career for the past 15years...but really I was just trying to make a joke. Which apparently didn't go over well, I thought the Jim Sorgi has a ring set up was the give away. |
