Have there been any wispers
With Morton out for the season has anyone heard anything about possibly bringing brian mitchell in too return punts and kicks. he has said on his post game show he would love to play for the skins again.
|
I can't really say that I see this happening. I do think that this may open a door for McCants to dress, though. We may also see a little more Rock, too.
|
Brian Mitchell was really miffed at our organization when he left. Moreover, his last year in New York wasn't too great.
We're fine between Betts and Thrash, both of whom have demonstrated their ability to return kicks and punts. |
Screw BMitch the Bitch. We are fine with who we got.

Try posting sober. |
What, you want more old ass players out on the field? no less a bitch? :grouphug:
|
Thanks for the always intelligent and brilliant commentary.
|
It would be pretty big of the Skins to resign BMitch if just to allow him to retire a Redskin. He's already said if he goes into the Hall, he would go in as a Skin and that that past is forgotten.

What's with the grouphug emoticon? What was the point of that? And why are you calling B Mitch a bitch? |
While morton is a more shifty runner, Betts has shown he can find good holes as well as break tackles and hopefully we won't see as many fair catch calls now or letting the ball bounce and roll to a stop 2.

Logic isn't this guy's bag so I wouldn't expect a logical answer. |
I always liked B.Mitch. He's a stand up guy and he knows about what it takes to be a winner in this league. He's also a great leader and no BS type. You guys remember how he used to get the whole team pumped up after a punt return? I know it was like 10 years ago, but I think he can still do it. He not only returned punts, but he went down and covered punts too.
I know alot of you guys will not agree with me, but I wouldn't mind seeing B.Mitch in the burgundy and gold again. |
I loved Mitchell when he was here and I was pissed when he was let go, if anyone was a 'true Redskin' it was him.
That being said I don't think he has much left in the tank. |

I agree but I think we're fine with guys like Thrash and Betts picking up the slack.

So you concur that he's too old...I just think he's a little whiny bitch. :vomit-smi |
No need for the language zack, especially when you're not even backing up your claims, be warned.
|
zack, wtf is your problem? all you do is bitch and talk about how we should fire everyone cause they suck... need to chill man...
|
BMitch is a class guy. I loved him as a Skin, and rooted for him as an Eagle and a G-Man, except when they played us. He says he wants to retire as a Skin, and says he and Dan have made up a bit. I'd love to see him come back, either as a player or a coach. He's had some great observations on that Comcast Monday Night show. For example, he points out that Portis doesn't sell the countertrey. He says Portis doesn't fake to the left as well as he should before he starts right ont the counter. I've noticed that a lot since he said that, which may partly explain why we don't always get a lot of yards on that play.
|
BMitch said that as of this morning he hasn't been contacted by the Skins but he's ready to suit up right away if they call him.

does he get warned for using the same word? :Smoker: |
I have Mitchell back in a second, class act.
|
All I'd say is we freed up 2 roster spots putting them on IR. We don't need to find a new returner (Betts can do the job & Thrash is #3 WR anyway) so I think we'll pick up depth in the secondary, considering we lost 2 in quick succession recently.

I agree with that. Any DBs out there? |
The idea of having Mitchell back on the team is that he's a Redskins guy, he'd be a great boost for the team as a whole. I know we shouldn't need a cheerleader but look at how many of the starters who are 'heart' guys are out injured.

How old are you?? I would like to see B.Mitchell back. If nothing else to show the young guys what it takes to be a all pro like he was. He really was in every sense what Joe Gibbs wants out of his "true Redskins" |
b. mitch was chill. he was sorta a whiner but that's one of those things that's good if he's on your team but not if he's with the 2 other NFC East ones. i don't think we need him though. he might provide a spark though so then again... we can use anything
