Re: Santonio Holmes invites fan to commit suicide, Twitter style
Whoops
That's messed up. |
Re: Santonio Holmes invites fan to commit suicide, Twitter style
Gotta be more mature than that...just ignore it. He just got sucked it into something stoopid like that, the ego is a hellava drug.
|
Re: Santonio Holmes invites fan to commit suicide, Twitter style
stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid... Somebody sedate this ass for his own benefit.
|
Re: Santonio Holmes invites fan to commit suicide, Twitter style
Stick with your workouts , stay off of twitter ... bozo .
|
Re: Santonio Holmes invites fan to commit suicide, Twitter style
Somebody should tell him to "keep doin' his thang" so that he can commit career suicide.
|
Re: Santonio Holmes invites fan to commit suicide, Twitter style
Another quality individual. What a QB-WR combo they have in Pitt. A guy who sexually assaults women throwing bombs to a guy who throws glass at women.

Alleged of course...but yeah too bad they had the game-winning SB touchdown two years ago instead of two of the classiest guys in the league, Kurt Warner and Larry Fitzgerald. |

Exactly! I made that same comment to a co-worker earlier today. |

Can of worms is already open. To late to really go back now, only thing we can hope is that his next exploits aren't nearly as stupid. |
Re: Santonio Holmes invites fan to commit suicide, Twitter style
Great team you have there, Pittsburgh.
|
Re: Santonio Holmes invites fan to commit suicide, Twitter style
Pro athletes should be banned from using Twitter. NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL...all of them. No good ever comes from it and the league as a whole gets the bad publicity.
|
Re: Santonio Holmes invites fan to commit suicide, Twitter style
Hope the guy dosen't really decide to harm himself....They've really got it going on in Pittsburgh
|
Re: Santonio Holmes invites fan to commit suicide, Twitter style
I in no way condone what he did, but fans can be pretty damn viscious. Especially in a forum where they can voice their own hate soaked opinion to the athlete, and are pretty much promised that he/she will see it. As of now, the guy was alleged of doing this, doesn't mean he did it (Think Duke LAX team), and fans are reacting to the information as if it was rock solid proof. Again, I do not condone what he said in any way, but I'm pretty sure that he is just retaliating to something said to him that was pretty flammatory.

Your in the SPOTLIGHT you need to stop take a deep breath and think then think then think again and by then it's passed and move on.

The AFC North...the deliquent division!

Re: Santonio Holmes invites fan to commit suicide, Twitter style
There is one nice thing about Steeler players getting into trouble maybe the commissioner will quit helping them win Superbowls.
|
Re: Santonio Holmes invites fan to commit suicide, Twitter style
damn this coming right after that battery suit
|
Re: Santonio Holmes invites fan to commit suicide, Twitter style
not to mention there have been criminal charges brought against similar internet harassment, usually in the case of the person ending up killing themselves, but it can't be far off from just saying kill yourself becomes a huge issue online
|
Re: Santonio Holmes invites fan to commit suicide, Twitter style
gotta love how TWITTER can really show us how un-educated these buffons can be sometimes. for every london fletcher there are 10 santonio holmes in the NFL.

Re: Santonio Holmes invites fan to commit suicide, Twitter style
no doubt.. what do you figure from 14-22 year olds that somewhat know their destiny?
I mean I understand a heavy study on athletics, but I played multiple sports through high school.. the wonderlic is probably ranked below a high school level.. and these kids get scores on them that wouldn't beat jeff foxworthy in the are you smarter than a 5th grader show... I think that brains should play a lot into selection, not to jump a full round... but coachable/learnable has to play somewhat hand in hand |
Re: Santonio Holmes invites fan to commit suicide, Twitter style
maybe i'll learn how to spell...
buffoons |

WHOA!!!!! You two are so in tune with each other!!!!!!! Are both of you wearing purple slacks today?????? I BET YOU ARE!!!!!!! |
Re: Santonio Holmes invites fan to commit suicide, Twitter style
I also heard reports that Holmes was being investigated for ASSAULT (not online "assault") yesterday also.
The Steelers are beginning to look like Dallas or Cincinnati. Too bad Joey Porter didn't return to them, they seem to make a good fit. |

Then he should know better than to have a twitter account, which gives anyone on earth with an internet connection a forum to say whatever the hell they want to you. We all love NFL football, but we also have to realize that most of the guys we're fans of are pretty unintelligent. |
Re: Santonio Holmes invites fan to commit suicide, Twitter style
Looks like the steelers are becoming the 90's cowboys lol ..

Re: Santonio Holmes invites fan to commit suicide, Twitter style
what he said was dumb, especially given the climate he is in right now. but what he said, i assume is common twitter talk. idk i dont have twitter but it seems like "go kill yourself" or "walk into oncoming traffic" is just a phrase made in jest.
but players should know better. interacting with fans goes both ways and santonio cant have just the fame of a public sports figure and not the inspection or scrutiny that comes with it. the comment that got me, or atleaast let me into santonio thinking is the "you dont pay me" part to a fan. really ahole, the rooneys are going to pay you if no one goes to a game or doesnt watch on tv? players like this need to realize the NFL is for the fans. we pay the owners, players, trainers, private jets, stadium personnel, the poeple who pour our beers. all that we ask is that you appreciate your privileged status by showing up on time, working your butt off and dont do anything to piss off the fans. like telling us we cant critize you on your twitter account after yet another alleged incident b/c we what? we dont pay your salary? that aint going to go over well in the rooney family or in the burg. GMSCUD - yeah, lets face it. these guys who constantly get in trouble are young and dumb and cant handle the responsibility of being rich or representative of a franchise. |

yep.. and as easy as saying kill yourself is, it's easier not to reply |

Quote fixed. Apparently when they ask for all electronic devices to be turned off for safety reasons, this does not apply to Santonio. |
