47% Will Pay No Federal Income Tax
 

Wow, no wonder why we have such high debt. I knew the number was high but with this economy and Obama giving people more tax breaks the number has jumped 10%. Some of these 47% will not only pay no taxes they will get a refund. So for the ones down on your luck I hope you find a job and get back on your feet. For the lazy ass bums that always sit around on your ass a big FU.

I'm not mad. I'm jealous. I follow the rules and obey the law. Why is it that everyone else gets a free ride except me? Lower taxes aren't a bad thing but it should be for everyone, not a select few. Now they're (that POS Glenn Beck & Co.) talking about a value added tax. WTF?

Nearly 22% of those making between $50,000 and $75,000 end up with no federal income tax liability or negative liability as do 9% of households with incomes between $75,000 and $100,000.

Now could someone explain to me how they can have this income and pay nothing and maybe receive a tax credit?

A combination of Bush's and Obama's. Bush's main structure is in place, but Obama's refundable credits are also in place allowing many to not only not pay any taxes, but to get additional refunds as well (making work pay, first time home-buyer, etc.).

They'll still be paying it out of their checks. Of course if they're getting a refund they won't actually owe any at year's end. This is net tax burden.

No, there are laws in effect (as in every country, and piece of land on this planet). Right now there are people who, of their own free will, have chosen to come into this country illegally, and thus become illegal aliens. If you want to talk about our immigration policy fine, I tend to favor open borders, but no matter what, there is always a limit and law in effect guiding the number of residents and new citizens.

Federal & State law say differently. You will not be saying that when they're forcing your children out of schools that you paid for. Nor will you be happy when you go to the emergency room and they're in there paying nothing, while you have to wait in line after getting hit by a car. I should be clear, tax policy = tax structure. One time tax break in [URL="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2009_Stimulus"]American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009[/URL] v.s. [URL="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jobs_and_Growth_Tax_Relief_Reconciliation_Act_of_2003"]Jobs and Growth Tax Relief Reconciliation Act of 2003[/URL] that is set to expire at the end of 2010.

In any case, Obama's turn will come and he has indicated he will continue Bush's tax policy for the most part (top income bracket will be ~39%). American people don't want to pay taxes and they're getting and will be getting what they want.

I hate the tax situation. I agree with the tax criticism of conservatives, but they sleep with rats and wind up with KKK fleas. If it wasn't for the racist wing of the conservative party you would have me all in. The only peopel getting this money are girls laying up with alot of men then hen they wind up with a baby they wonder why no one wants to marry them. I know one chick who had no idea who her baby father was until the child was three, wasted a bunch of tax payer money on DNA tests for one. nay way she got over 5 thousand dollars back for her tax return. Me, my dumb behind likes working overtime. They say I owe another 1400 plus what they already took out my check. Somebody has got to make an adjustment. This is a white chick for those who gonna start equating black with goverment hand outs. Now she goes to church and wants a husband but she couldve been married if her baby was the same color as her fiancee at the time was. Anyway, now she balling and i'm crawling to the IRS office.

That's real easy...it's all about children, the more you have the more breaks you get. Having 4 kids, some of which are going to college, a mortgage interest payment of 25K, and 401K investment account will do the trick.

I agree, and what about me? My ancestors worked for free, got nothing, it went to other people who got a free socialist ride back in the day before the Civil War (Heritage traditional values). Okay cool, keep the money from my ancestors. So i get a job and go to work only to then get screwed by the tax system. Double screwed for me, where is mine? I don't want the money, all I want is the end of racial profiling can I get that? I pay taxes why am I under pressure?

Inflammatiory because I don't believe in calling another human being illegal? Illegal in what sense? I keep meeting white South Africans what are they doing here? We annexed half of Mexico? Most land grants after the war were grandfathered in. See if you had a real estate license for the state of California you'd know that.

Inflammatory in the sense that your position is basically untenable, and prone to spark a lot of posts that put defense of America ahead of the real questions underlying immigration laws. Very few United States citizens will agree with 0 immigration laws, because that is not a wise policy.

Uninformed, because there have been immigration laws from day 1, and yes we did annex those lands, or they were ceded to us through war, but at this point it is internationally recognized as United States territory, and as such our government has the right and duty to establish immigration laws and protect our border.

And no person is calling another person illegal, but are recognizing that their actions place them in an illegal situation. Thus they are an illegal alien versus a legal alien(such as my mother was before she became a citizen and my ex-wife was before she became a citizen)
