Champ Bailey Return?
Could it be possible that Champ comes home? I'd love to see him come back. Haynesworth trade! What yall think?
|
Re: Champ Bailey Return?
Is this just speculation on your part? Or did someone say that there have been discussions?
|
Re: Champ Bailey Return?
I heard Denver is giving our pick back too.
They want CP again, now that he is in his prime. |

Seriously ? |
Re: Champ Bailey Return?
Champ would never return here in a million years....
|
Re: Champ Bailey Return?
That'd be something.
I get that it seems like anything is possible since we traded for McNabb, but I can't help but notice you like to start threads speculating about former Redskins returning. LaVar, Stephen Davis, Darrell Green... Curious to see where this thread goes. |

5 years ago I'd be all over it. Now I'll pass. I miss Champ and I was mad as hell to see him go. But 2008 marked the start of his decline. Can he still play? Sure. But not worth a trade for AH or CP. That would be a downgrade. IMO. Champ Bailey - Denver Broncos - Career Statistics - NFL - Yahoo! Sports |

Just think of the possibilities: “Limitations live only in our minds. But if we use our imaginations, our possibilities become limitless.” Jamie Paolinetti quotes (American Schroeder Iron Pro Cycling) “We all have possibilities we don't know about. We can do things we don't even dream we can do.” Dale Carnegie quotes (American lecturer, author, 1888-1955) “The possibilities are numerous once we decide to act and not react.” George Bernard Shaw quotes “Your mistake does not define who you are...you are your possibilities” Oprah Winfrey quotes “Nothing limits achievement like small thinking; nothing expands possibilities like unleashed imagination.” William Arthur Ward quotes |
Re: Champ Bailey Return?
CB isn't coming back. If we make a deal with Denver, it will be for Marshall.
|
Re: Champ Bailey Return?
At the time Champ as here if I'm not mistaken Green was still playing. Green was the better player and I felt Champ was wanting too much money for his return. The trade was what was needed.
Now we have Hall and Rogers and we are kinda in the same boat. Rogers thinks he better and worth more then he actually is. On a side note Champ may be have been one of the best cover corners for a while, I'll pass. He's old now. I'd rather see our young guns step up and I'd rather we picked up a true FS. |

Yeah, Im with it, but one small stipulation, they have to throw in this years first round pick. If they cant do that, tell em HELL NO. AH for Champ, yeah right, Im tryna smoke what you're smokin...... |
Re: Champ Bailey Return?
We need to trade our aging stars for picks, not more aging stars.
|
Re: Champ Bailey Return?
screw Bailey. he wanted nothing to do with the redskins. and its fine with me if we keep it that way. and IMO, one of the most over rated players this league has ever seen

He is overated as a Bronco he wasn't overrated as a skin when he was with Darrell Green. Toomer, Steve Smith, plus Marty booker marked his last year with the skins. Toasteroni. |
Re: Champ Bailey Return?
I remember I was hammering on a fence in the backyard when Dad approached. He was carrying a letter or something in his hand, and he looked worried. I continued to hammer as he came toward me. "Son," he said, "why are you hammering on that fence? It already has plenty of nails in it." "Oh, I'm not using nails," I replied. "I'm just hammering."
With that, I returned to my hammering. Dad asked me to stop hammering, as he had some news. I did stop hammering, but first I got a couple more hammers in, and this seemed to make Dad mad. "I said, stop hammering!" he yelled. I think he felt bad for yelling at me, especially since it looked like he had bad news. "Look," he said, "you can hammer later, but first-" Well, I didn't even wait to hear the rest. As soon as I heard "You can hammer," that's what I started doing. Hammering away, happy as an old hammer hog. Dad tried to physically stop me from hammering by inserting a small log of some sort between my hammer and the fence. But I just kept on hammering, 'cause that's the way I am when I get that hammer going. Then, he just grabbed my arm and made me stop. "I'm afraid I have some news for you," he said. I swear, what I did next was not hammering. I was just letting the hammer swing lazily at arm's length, and maybe it tapped the fence once or twice, but that's all. That apparently didn't make any difference whatsoever to Dad, because he just grabbed my hammer out of my hand and flung it across the field. And when I saw my hammer flying helplessly through the air like that, I just couldn't take it. I burst out crying, I admit it. And I ran to the house, as fast as my legs could take me. "Son, come back!" yelled Dad. "What about your hammer?!" But I could not have cared less about hammering at that point. I ran into the house and flung myself onto my bed, pounding the bed with my fists. I pounded and pounded, until finally, behind me, I heard a voice. "As long as you're pounding, why not use this?" I turned, and it was Dad, holding a brand-new solid-gold hammer. I quickly wiped the tears from my eyes and ran to Dad's outstretched arms. But suddenly, he jumped out of the way, and I went sailing through the second-story window behind him. Whenever I hear about a kid getting in trouble with drugs, I like to tell him this story. |

Re: Champ Bailey Return?
He IS in the final year of his contract...but I still doubt it will happen.

Re: Champ Bailey Return?
On a side note, now that we're running a 3-4, we should bring Jason Taylor back. I'm thinking about starting a thraed about it. However, maybe I should combine that thread with one about another player I think we should bring back - Adam Archuleta. He is still playing professional if you didnt already know. And i'm pretty sure he played for Haslett before. I dont know. The Saints and the Rams confuse me. They both have the same colors, play in the same city, and both suck. Neither of them will ever go to the superbowl, which is why they always have the #1 top draft pick.
Now that I am in the subject, you know who else we should bring back? Darnerierian McCans. I know his name is actually Delorian McCant's, but I think that's too negative. BTW, i'm not sure the comma is really part of his name or not. He is hispanic and their punch marks confuse me. I just wanted to reiterate that he is a true mexiCAN, not a mexiCANT (no backwards comma there because I speak american). Anyhow way, now that we have one DMC to throw the football, i think we should just bring back another. DMC throwing to DMC. That would be great. Although Brandon Lloyd might be upset that he never gets the football throwed to him. Finally, there is one player we must bring back if we want to win the superbowl - Dexter Manley. II know he is currently in prison, but when gets out, we must have him. He is a high character guy. He never fought dogs like Clinton Portis. He knew there is only one place for man's best friend. |

if i remember correctly his last season with us he didn't play half bad. then we just let him go (for money reasons i think) and he never signed with anyone... i thought he was a quality player. did something happen with him that i'm unaware of? or did he just disappear? |

What Haynesworth for Marshall? I hope we dont give up any more draft picks this or next season. Even if Denver would do the trade we would then be thin on the D-line. We have to draft Okung if he is there at #4 spot. |

I really thought he'd sign on somewhere but it never happened. I tried to keep up with what he was doing but could never turn anything up. As you can tell by my avatar, he was one of my favorite players. :thumb: |
