I Disagree with a 76 rating.. McNabb and a better Oline should have made us better. I understand 4-12 but that was a different team and staff.

It's June but it's the final ratings until the weekly updates, that don't change until Mid september

Its a proper rating for our team last season. We deserve all these low ratings and bashing we've been getting. We haven't done shit in the last decade to really get any praise, now if we were being rated on the off-season will then we would be NUMERO UNO.

I personally think Madden is a bunch of Cowboy lovers, matter of fact, I remember them interviewing the staff of the game and like 4 of them were wearing Cowboys crap. I honestly feel they keep the Redskins low a lot.

You have Romo who you can hit stick with Haynesworth and Romo breaks out of it, yet you have Campbell get touched with a pinky and he goes down. There are other numerous things I've noticed that doesn't happen with the Cowboys as does with a lot of other teams, especially the Redskins.

Now I know their line and stuff is better so I expect them to block and create holes better, but just certain things have me asking questions.

I hate EA. I long for the day when 2K Sports gets back into making NFL football games. They are killing EA's NBA Live with NBA 2K10.

Romo is one of the better guys at escaping and bouncing off of hits in the league

I know he can escape and take hits, but were talking about Albert Haynesworth hit sticking him, there's no way Romo would ever escape that. Hell remember what Chris Wilson did to him in 07? That's like 1/3rd of Haynesworth.

I must have explained it wrong. I'm not talking about the player and team ratings, but how they actually rate them. I think they came out with a new way to rate the players and teams last year, forget exactly. It makes it harder for someone to be 100 and stuff.

I was wondering if they were keeping that system or doing a new one.

absolutely agree with this. EA is killing Madden. 2K sports was far superior.

2k FOOTBALL games were always garbage on comparison to Madden. ... especially the game play... some of the ratings are wack but most hold true. . We.ll be fine once the season rolls around

Agreed. I never got the hype about 2k5.

Not that Madden doesn't have it's flaws, but I think it's improved in recent years especially '10. It's the first Madden in a while that has held my interest all year long.

It's like the fans of other inferior products...people like them (or claim to) because they're an alternative to the big, bad, rich, successful corporation.


Madden will always be the top game. Many have tried to make a better game and failed miserably.

However, they need to get the game back on PC. We can't live on nerd-created roster and artwork updates forever!

I think it's actually higher than what i expected it to be. I remember when the Lions were a 67 overall after a winless season the year before, and thought it was fair.

I look at our whole team currently, and see about a 70....being brutally honest here guys.

By the end of last season the team was in the 80's so I wouldn't sweat these initial rankings too much. They improved +6, more than anyone else, so I think that's more than fair.

With Haynesworth....he seems to be in the high to mid 80's. They screwed McNabb they lowered him as well he is no longer a 90 like once reported.

When I think about McNabb for madden this year, I think he should be an 85.

Mark Brunell was an 85 in Madden 06, and that was coming off a great year in 2005. I think thats fair with this year's McNabb.

The only problem i have with that is if you give the man a 90 rating as a Eagle when he becomes a Redskin why does he drop? It seems to me that EA believes when you go to the Redskin your production drops. 85 is a cool rating with me even tho JC was a 84 at the end of last year.

The rating system is different than it was a few years ago. They used to overrate everyone. Brunell would have been more like an 80 using the system they have now.

McNabb is coming off a good season, his highest QB rating since 2006. Not sure why his rating should drop very much at all. The ratings change through the year though, so the initial ratings are just that, a starting off point.
