Not sure what this dummy was thinking. Oh those silly liberals. :)

Re: Congressman assaults student on Washington sidewalk
That's really a weird video. I wonder if there is more to the story than just this. If not the guy ought to be given the boot by the voters and censured by his party.

Re: Congressman assaults student on Washington sidewalk
From what I saw he only asked him if he supported the Obama agenda. This guy might be looking for a job in the next week or so. Well probably not sense the dems don't seem to care unless they have an R behind their name.

Breitbart is very well known for releasing selectively edited videos.

That's the problem tho, who knows what lead up to this. Maybe they had people all along his path, harassing him as he walked. I don't know. I don't understand why they would fuzz the student's face out. Overall, he is still responsible for his actions which were clearly out of proportion to the student's actions. |
Re: Congressman assaults student on Washington sidewalk
LOL at this guy's opening statement:
Rep. Bob Etheridge Knocks Camera From Interviewer's Hand on D.C. Street
After being ambushed by two young men wielding a video camera on a Washington street, Democratic Rep. Bob Etheridge of North Carolina knocked the camera from the hand of one of them.
Ambushed?!?! Really - LOL |
Re: Congressman assaults student on Washington sidewalk
Looks like the actions from a person who knows his days are numbered. I'm guessing whoever runs against him now has a great campaign add. The bad part is he was just past the kid when he turned to assult him. If he would have just kept walking he could have hid his anger for a few more months.

Yes, a congressman should handle himself better. You can't manhandle people even if they're harassing you...ever. |
Re: Congressman assaults student on Washington sidewalk
Had to do some searching, but I found his Party affiliation. Of course, since it didn't mention "Republican" in the headline, it's safe to assume it was a Democrat. When it's an "R", headlines everywhere mention it...when it's a "D", they don't mention it.
I agree with FD...looks like he's nervous about his job security...as he should be. |

I wonder what would have happened if that kid knocked the crap out of Bob when he snatch his cell phone. If you watch the video it was actually the senator who got up in the kids face.

LOL...they don't have to reload if there was 20 of them. You run a small business, you feel like the IRS is on your back and over taxed? |

Of course in this economy there's a lot less to be taxed. You know me, I'm a FairTax, reduce spending, and limited gov't guy. But at the same time, I'm not ready to take up arms against my gov't.....now if Nov. 2010 doesn't turn out as planned, I may be loading up the ole single-shot musket as saddlin' up. :)

A liberal tactic eh?
Seems to me that the right loves to distract people from the real issues by focusing on hot button issues such as abortion and gay marriage. Both sides pull the same crap. |

Most people on the right that I know its not even an issue and don't really care. |
Re: Congressman assaults student on Washington sidewalk
Ok, today I read this happened last week and the site that posted the clip found it somewhere on the internet. Because they did not want to involve the kids in the clip they blurred out their faces. Mr Bob (Beats On Boys) did not confirm or deny the time that this happened.

I think it would have been funny if the kid kicked his ass and they had it on film.

Yeah really. How can you not even get a few shots in on an old, out of shape pencil pusher. If i was that kid i'd kick my own ass. |

Of course, everything we do has consequences. My point was he is an extraordinary person. These are customers if you will, and you can't attack a customer. If he is physically threatened, by all means, kick some ass, otherwise smile for the camera and keep walking. |

That's what I was thinking. The Congressman asked him a strait forward question. Who are you? When the kids didn't answer him, it was evident to me they were just looking to bust his balls. He did deserve to get popped in the mouth though. You don't put your hands on people and expect to just get away with it. I bet his ass wouldn't have done that if it had been a grown man. If you're going to talk shit to someone then you've got to have the balls to back up your words. Speaking of which, does anyone know when Eric Cantor will be appearing in public? |
