Fred Davis' Day in Court Makes Him Late for Practice
I wonder who he told the police he was

Re: Fred Davis' Day in Court Makes Him Late for Practice
Wow.
Well at least it is not something serious. A few moving violations is not to serious. But why did he have a suspended license in the first place? Speeding tickets in Loudon and Fairfax County? He won't face a suspension for any of this I would assume since these are only minor violations. Smoot is it a national story? |
Re: Fred Davis' Day in Court Makes Him Late for Practice
They say he's had 7 moving violations in Loudoun and Fairfax since coming here in June of 08, he's been cited as recently as August 7th for reckless in Fairfax due to speed. Several tickets due to tinted windshields and non-inspected vehicles as well.
I've seen people do time for that type of record. |
Re: Fred Davis' Day in Court Makes Him Late for Practice
Sometimes we forget that a lot these guys are in their early 20's and some of the act like it. Time to get your shit straight and grow up FD.

Re: Fred Davis' Day in Court Makes Him Late for Practice
Man you gotta keep a clean driving record when you're living in VA.. I live in MD and dread going into VA or the district because of their strict driving laws. That said, this isn't really that much to worry about; everyone has to find out how obnoxious the legal system is once in their life.

Re: Fred Davis' Day in Court Makes Him Late for Practice
Fred "Sleepy" Davis...
is now Fred "Misdemeanor" Davis |
Re: Fred Davis' Day in Court Makes Him Late for Practice
Missy Elliott might not wanna share that one.

I've seen people do time for that type of record.[/quote] I know plenty of guys with a bad driving record. They have not been to jail, driving violations are easy to fight in court because the law or the police can be liegient when you show up to court. They are quick to give people breaks on the charges. Moving violations not involving drugs or alcohol are minor, and can be attributed to youth. The tint issue is not that big of a deal to me and to be honest, if I was a sports star I might have some dark tint on my car as well so I am not hassled as I drive. |

Heck in California you see guys like Chris Brown get off with community service on the East Coast (thanks Cali, it's no wonder gangs love working over there). Still I'm a little worried about this. I mean God knows we have Ovechkin doing more then we care to admit but Ovi seems to be good at not getting caught. Fred on the other hand I could easily see getting caught on an NFL drug test for smoking pot. This is the guy that's suppose to be our number 2 or 3 receiver this year in what looks to be a somewhat innovative offense. Of course if Thomas continues to step up it could easily be Sellers that ends up being the odd man out. |

Re: Fred Davis' Day in Court Makes Him Late for Practice
I got my first drivers license when I was living in VA. I got my first drivers license suspension 5 months later. In all honesty I deserved it though.

Trent Williams has a traffic court date too, going 90 in a 55 in his Cayenne.
Seriously, they stop people around DC for going 90 in a 55? I thought that was just called "keeping up" on the Beltway. |

What? For the record, I didn't say Trent WAS on the Beltway...but driving anywhere around DC is not a picnic. I found Virginia drivers to be slow and lazy though. MD drivers are just nuts and PA drivers are just clueless on how to drive properly. |

I'm not sure how we made the jump to him getting busted on a drug test either.

Durring rush hour yes. Durring non rush hour the flow of traffic is between 65-90 in the 3 outside lanes. |
Re: Fred Davis' Day in Court Makes Him Late for Practice
punishments for driving on a suspended license depend on the circumstances. I got a client a nollie for driving on a suspended in balt city last month, he only had one prior driving on susp. another atty in my firm got his client 20 days in jail for driving on a suspended last month in the same courthouse. i then stepped in and handled the motion to reduce sentence. at the hearing the judge asked why my client was given 20 days. i gave some flowery response that he had just gone thru a divorce, financial troubles, failed to pay a speeding ticket which he has now paid.
the state then responded by reading off 8 prior criminal and traffic convictions (atleast 3 for driving on a susp lic) in the past 6 years. i didnt know this, pretty much got sand bagged. judge still granted the motion to reduce from 20 days to 10 which he already served but the point is . . . you rack up a couple driv on susp license you can spend some time in jail. especialy if it is for excessive speed, reckless driving and not for more understandable reasons like failed to pay a speeding ticket or being more than 1/4th behind in child support payments. |

When we asked the customer they would say my record is clean and some how they forgot about the 5 accidents and the 6 speeding tickets that happend in the past three years. Glad I don't deal with those kind of customer any longer. |

I was referring to packages in which the Redskins would use two tight ends, a fullback, and one receiver while Davis or Cooley split out wide as this would give us our best group of pass catchers while still giving our running back a lead blocker. If Thomas is able to step up the emphasis will be on our "Tiger" package which is basically two tight ends, two receivers, and one running back leaving Sellers as the odd man out. Keep in mind this is just me rambling but I think the emphasis is getting our best players on the field. |

Let me get this right... He misses practice for a court date and then doesn't turn up at court? Way to make a good impression on your head coach. |
Re: Fred Davis' Day in Court Makes Him Late for Practice
Yeah, what's up with our young little traffic speed demons? Kelly, F.Davis, and T.Williams aLL with traffic violations, etc. requiring COURT DATES. Don't get me wrong, I've had plenty of tickets, but rarely went to court for one. I mean, I know you're only about 20 years old, but you're a freaking millionaire. If you don't want to hire a financial advisor, at least get your mom to arrange to write the checks and pay for these things for you.
