New Redskins fan on the way!
 

Well guys i had told you all yesterday in the Dallas game day thread that I was expecting for my fiance to go into labor at anytime.

Well today around 3 pm her water broke, and I am sitting in the delivery ward, and to her credit she is letting me watch Monday Night football while we are waiting for our little girl to come! Our family is here and on the way, and we are getting settled in for what could be a long night.

Just stay away from Inez, as a Dad a name like that will almost certainly end up driving you crazy :D

Also from what I understand about kids, girls are easier to raise at the start since they're less obnoxious and more passive then boys are at a younger age. Of course once they get past 12 or 13 they become exponentially more difficult (not to mention expensive thanks to a craving to go shopping everyday), but on the bright side you now have till 2022 to prepare for that. Another random date to remember is 2028, her high school graduation by that time you'll be using the Warpath on a holographic computer.

Yeah bro i am here now. Have been since the begining. To be honest I am in between jobs so I have been able to be very present for her the whole time, and I will get to spend the first couple of weeks with her before starting again. :food-smil

Well.. we are the proud parents of a beautiful little girl.. little is a relative term i guess, 8lbs 3 oz at 12:24 am on 9/14/10.


We are so blessed and her delivery was so quick. I took a nap and they woke me up at 12:05am and we then she started pushing at 12;10am, and baby at 12:24.. amazing. This was awesome!!

That's good stuff ! Enjoy the cool baby poop now because it will start to stink in about a week or two. Make sure you have your diaper ready because you might get pissed on. Don't freak out when she gets a fever. Push breastfeeding you will save a buttload of money. Take a lot of pictures and vids because you will hear this about a million times but they grow VERY fast. Most of all, enjoy being a dad. It's the one job that I love. Well that and practicing making babies but that comes in at a very close second.

Keep your head up with the job thing, something will come up ! Stay positive.


Oh yeah, and uh say good bye to a good nights sleep ! :food-smil

Thank you all for the well wishes!!

She is the first, first! Ha, just wanted to type that and see how funny it looked. It has been a long day/night so far. I got 2 1/2 hours of sleep all broken up of course.

Hopefully we will get to go home tomorrow.

Here's one tip - buy extra coffee now. Stock up, you may need it in those first couple of months.

I have read it and it really didn't work for us but many people have said it has worked for them. My son for the first 1.5 years of his life had horrible ear infections so much that we had tubes surgically placed in his ears.

Thinking back to that time we would ignore his crying like the book said to do but he was in extreme pain from the ears (we knew know better just assumed it was normal new born stuff). It breaks my heart thinking I could have at least consoled him during that time of pain instead of following the "book".

F**K Baby Wise, I regress sorry. =)
