F'ing Friday of F'ing Houston Week, coming off of F'ing Dallas week.


This weekend, a good college friend (female) of both my wife and I is getting married. Wife is a bridesmaid.

Then I'll watch football on Sunday.

We actually ordered a Bells Two Hearted Ale keg...then my boy got a call from the place stating there was a "problem" with getting it. Pissed, by hey you never can go wrong with Sierra

Tomorrow I'll be attending our 4th Annual Outdoormen Beer Competition. I think I described this last year, but every year I get more excited for it.
Basically, we go camping and compete in 10 events, most of which involve beer in some way.

1) Chug 2 cans of beer for time
2) Hatchet toss
3) T-Hold: hold two 18 packs straight out at your side while someone else feeds you beer. Best time wins but if you don't finish the beer you get a time penalty.

5) The Rally: basically run about 50 to 100yrds through the woods, kill a beer, then run back
6) Kill a beer, crush the can, hit it as far as you can with a golf club
7) Giant rock toss
8) 10' circle on the ground with 2 beers in it. Put on a blindfold, find and drink the beer for time.
9) Log pull

Bell's Two Hearted is my favorite IPA, possibly favorite beer. My wife introduced me to it--she graduated from Kalamazoo College for undergrad, where the brewery is located (well, not on the campus, in the town). She has family all over Michigan, so when we were on the west side last December, she took me to the brewery. I've got myself a Two Hearted shirt (seriously).

We're going to see Animal Kingdom tonight (I'm hearing nothing but good things), I've got a mtn bike ride on tap for tomorrow, and then, of course, game on Sunday.

That is extremely pimpish...such a solid beer. Got hooked a several years ago. Good stuff

Work and school work all day Saturday so I can watch football all day Sunday. I might try to catch the Terps game against WVU, though I don't think they will do well against the Mountaineers.

Week really flew by...It's poker night to night. Tomorrow I may go to the Huskies/Cornhuskers and if that falls through I'm gonna get one last hike in before summer officially ends. Sunday is Redskins day and I'm looking forward to seeing Revis and the f'ing Jets get their lunch taken from them.

I second that. I'm rooting against them like they're in the NFC East.

I had a family dinner last night with my wife, mom, and stepdad. I hit the gym this morning, I have to work for a few hours today, then I'll watch the Gator game tonight (TiVO is great). Got a bbq tomorrow for NFL Sunday. I love this time of year.

Welcome to the Warpath man! I caught every game when I was up in Detroit online, except for the loss @ Detroit (I was there) and nationally televised games. Where are you?

Our club had our 22nd golf outing on Friday and it went great. For a bad economy we had our best corporate sponsorship that anyone can remember. We are guessing that we probably raised between 14 to 18 grand. MY team was a mix of corporate sponsors and we did pretty good at 14 under and I think each of us drank that many beers. Today I hung around with the wife and kid and tommorrow I'm going fishing in the morning and watching the skins win tomorrow.

Was on vacation down on the shore (hon). Spent Friday shopping at the outlets then dinner of steamed shrimp and clams, late night drink with the wife while the kiddies slept. Saturday was a beach day, followed by pork chops on the grill, then another late night drink with the wife while the kiddies slept (tried Great Divide Titan IPA, quite tasty). Drove home yesterday morning then watched the Ravens lose, the Skins lose, and caught up on the 2 part finale of Top Chef.

Really, really looking forward to this weekend. Not because of anything I've got going on, just need to get the F outta work.

Hitting up a primo steak joint tonight, definitely having a stiff cocktail or 2 at dinner. The usual laziness planned for the rest of the weekend with plenty of football of course on Sunday.

Cleaning the house in preparation for daughter's birthday party next Saturday (turns 3 on Monday), Great Frederick Fair for artery-clogging treats, family dinner on Sunday. Sporadic football viewing here and there until 4:15 on Sunday, when I'll be planted in front of the TV to see the Rammassacre.

Going out in the boat Sat. maybe Sunday and pulling it out of the water to move it to Va. Beach in 2 weeks to a slip I rented for the fall and winter striper fishing season. Tonight its me and my daughter hanging out as the wife is out for girls night. Not sure what they do but I know she can't get into much trouble with her mother. LOL

Goin home to drink some beer, and build a wardrobe for my wife. Then tomorrow go buy a transmission pan gasket and a new filter for our Mitsubishi, we've got a service coming up. I'm gonna enjoy the weekend, and just take a break from everything because its back to the gym on Monday...
