re: Trent Williams Suffers Sprained Knee (update: MRI is negative)
Whew, still sucks, but I was afraid he'd be out for the season. He looked pretty frustrated sitting on the ground with the trainers
|
re: Trent Williams Suffers Sprained Knee (update: MRI is negative)
Want to see what the diagnosis is. Aka so we can figure out how long we have to watch Stephon Heyer play like Alex Barron.

Reminds me of watching this from last year. [YT]yK5mDZIH5bQ[/YT] |
re: Trent Williams Suffers Sprained Knee (update: MRI is negative)
Damn brutal game.
I suppose we'll know more when the ice comes off. |
re: Trent Williams Suffers Sprained Knee (update: MRI is negative)
He still needs an MRI...this definitley means stephon heyer starts for a few weeks... :/

I can live with a week. If Williams is out Brown should automatically be moved to LT. He's still one of the best in the game, it just gets overshadowed with how well Trent has played and the fact that Trent is our shiny new toy. I just hope Williams is 98% for the Eagles game. |
re: Trent Williams Suffers Sprained Knee (update: MRI is negative)
Well I'm assuming Heyer probably starts next week and that means the Lions d-coordinator will probably put Kyle Vanden Bosch on him. Hopefully they shift Jammal to the left side, Stephon will probably get matched up on K.V.B. if the Lions d-coordinator is smart, but either way I'd rather see Stephon play the right side. I'm glad it's nothing too serious but the sooner T.W. comes back the better.
|
re: Trent Williams Suffers Sprained Knee (update: MRI is negative)
I hope that the MRI confirms that there's no tear. T. Williams looks like a pro-bowler in the making.

Might as well be #St.Louis
Well I'm assuming Heyer probably starts next week and that means the Lions d-coordinator will probably put Kyle Vanden Bosch on him. Remember when he got killed by Texas in the Big XII championship? |
re: Trent Williams Suffers Sprained Knee (update: MRI is negative)
Yea we better beat STL
|
re: Trent Williams Suffers Sprained Knee (update: MRI is negative)
Yeah that was a screwup on my part, I kept thinking we play Detroit after the Texans and not the Rams. That just means take the part in my earlier post about Kyle Vanden Bosch and replace it with Chris Long. If the Rams are smart they'll put Long on Heyer.
|
re: Trent Williams Suffers Sprained Knee (update: MRI is negative)
Time to move Brown back over to the left and keep heyer on the right.

re: Trent Williams Suffers Sprained Knee (update: MRI is negative)
Dirt are you drunk? Suh is a beast and again we don't play Det!! next week
|
Update
Russellmania09
Trent says it is his toe and knee, not ankle, says he took preliminary acl test on field and passed |

Mooby got what I was going after. Still I would be more surprised then anyone else to learn that I was drunk. I haven't had a sip of alcohol since 08 and haven't been drunk since 05. |

On the right side. Brown will be on the blind-side. Can we start up the "sign Levi" chant again? :-) |

Not necessarily. The MRI will show the severity of the sprain. Could be minor. |
re: Trent Williams Suffers Sprained Knee (update: MRI is negative)
we should move doughty to OL...that way he can get slaughtered and not be on defense...cause we are goign to lose with him back there....ALWAYS

Like the way we lost to Dallas? He got beat by the best receiver in the game, who made the play despite the fact that Reed was pretty much right on him. People are being too hard on Reed. |
re: Trent Williams Suffers Sprained Knee (update: MRI is negative)
Dought plays hard and he plays to the best of his ability.
However we can do better but it prolly wont happen till next year. |

People are being too hard on Reed.
I agree, not sure what people expected from Doughty on that jump ball to Johnson. There aren't many safeties in this league that would have made that play. Reed is the goat right now, I guess when Moore comes back all will be well. |
re: Trent Williams Suffers Sprained Knee (update: MRI is negative)
Reed got beat on a hell of a catch ... the bigger question is why wasn't he double teamed
|
re: Trent Williams Suffers Sprained Knee (update: MRI is negative)
not to be too harsh...but anyone can realize that doughty is a liabilty when he is on the field. He looked like terry schiavo trying to cover AJ on that TD
|
Re: Update
Never heard of that. We don't know anything definitively until the MRI.
If it's an ACL 2010 is officially done.
There are tests you can perform to test the structural soundness of the joint to get a pretty good idea of how the knee is. |

Regardless, Doughty is not a starting free-safety in this league. This has been obvious for years. At best he would be a marginal strong-safety assuming you had an excellent Free-Safety who could cover his numerous mistakes. I am willing to pull out dozens of examples including ST's last game (Philly 2007) where McNabb beat us vicitimizing Doughty the second that Taylor was out. |

I said this in another thread -- I must have forgotten what Kareem Moore has done that makes everyone so confident in him.

When you find out let me know, because to me it sounds like Sean Taylor is coming back. |

Moore is better than Doughty but he won't solve all our problems. We had ridiculously huge scheme issues. Kevin Walter was open as soon as he cut on the deep post all game long. That is inexcusable. |
re: Trent Williams Suffers Sprained Knee (update: MRI is negative)
yeah, go ahead and chalk up another Safety in the draft that we need to get.
on a side note, my boy saw fat haynesworth out at a bar on friday night drunk as a skunk with his homies. girl in the group went up to ask for a picture and he said. "I don't like fans and I don't do pictures" what a TURD |
re: Trent Williams Suffers Sprained Knee (update: MRI is negative)
A FS, a NT, a Guard, Center, Big WR should be some of our big targets in the off-season.
Hell its game two of the year and I'm pissed already, I need to realize as do other fans here, that its one game, we lost to a great team, and of course we weren't going to go undefeated this year, plus we're still learning both the offenses and defenses, so whatever, we lost, now on to st. louis... |
