Harrison had a great run last year but hasn't played that well so far in '10. I think this really helps Philly, what do you guys think? |
Re: Eagles trade Mike Bell for Jerome Harrison
That's a helluva scary backfield they have.
|
Re: Eagles trade Mike Bell for Jerome Harrison
jesus...Philly FO is pretty damn solid. Thats a steal in my book. That sux for us
|
Re: Eagles trade Mike Bell for Jerome Harrison
Remember, Cleveland's GM used to be the Eagles GM so trades between the two front offices really isn't that shocking.

Re: Eagles trade Mike Bell for Jerome Harrison
Wooooo! GTripp's dynasty league fantasy team is saved!
|
Re: Eagles trade Mike Bell for Jerome Harrison
I was scared there for a second. I thought the thread was titled "Eagles trade Mike Bell for James Harrison."
|
Re: Eagles trade Mike Bell for Jerome Harrison
Upgrade over Bell but is that saying much? I don't think Harrison is anything special.

Yea I agree but he's a solid backup for sure |

McCoy isn't out there 90% the time they're doing something wrong. |
Re: Eagles trade Mike Bell for Jerome Harrison
Yea McCoy looks really good
|
Re: Eagles trade Mike Bell for Jerome Harrison
I didn't think RB was an issue for the Eagles. Didn't they just lose one of their defensive tackles?
|
Re: Eagles trade Mike Bell for Jerome Harrison
Their defensive line depth is first rate. Their practice squad at that position could play better than a lot of team's interior lines.
Their running back depth, on the other hand, is non-existent. Was non-existent, at least. |
Re: Eagles trade Mike Bell for Jerome Harrison
^ like our RB depth
|
Re: Eagles trade Mike Bell for Jerome Harrison
McCoy's ribs might be hurting him more now than they did before this must be a move for insurance.
|
Re: Eagles trade Mike Bell for Jerome Harrison
I honestly dont know anything of this guy.If he is going to be a impact player I am glad we beat them already.

I think he's just a solid backup but he has produced BIG games before |
Re: Eagles trade Mike Bell for Jerome Harrison
all cleveland got out of this was moving a disgruntled player. i like harrison, i don't like him with the eagles.
the packers should've went after harrison though, they could definately use him after what we saw last week. they missed out on lynch, now harrison. i've heard rumors of the packers going after deangelo williams... now that would be scary. he is in the last year of his contract. i dont think it would be dumb for us to go after him either, though he would need a new deal. |
Re: Eagles trade Mike Bell for Jerome Harrison
This is just two teams trading guys that didn't meet expectations, in hopes that a change of scenery will make a difference for one or both. I wouldn't read too much into this.

Yeah, Harrison's bad attitude got him on the wrong side of the coaching staff. Peyton Hillis has been great, but it was Harrison's whining and complaining that got him on the bench. I don't see him getting many carries if McCoy is healthy. Remember, Andy Reid is not a big fan of the running game anyways, they pass about 70% of the time, including to RBs. |

That's why when it was time to pay Portis in Denver after two monster seasons, they let him walk to DC for his big payday. |

Point made, however there was a time where Shanahan did pay to get a RB - Travis Henry.. According to wiki page, Henry got 5 years contract that was worth 22.5 millions dollars. Shanahan believed Henry would thrive greatly in his system.. I am in love with DeAngelo Williams, he's truly playmaker with his toughness and speed.. He will be VERY successful with Shanahan's zone blocking system.. Which is something we need.. However, Panthers will not let Williams go without getting something valuable in return, which is what we cannot afford to sacrifice because we have some positions that need to be filled through draft next year.. |
Re: Eagles trade Mike Bell for Jerome Harrison
Shanahan will draft a RB in the mid rounds. It's very doubtful he'd trade for one, IMO.
|
Re: Eagles trade Mike Bell for Jerome Harrison
We should trade the Browns Dockery or Andre Carter for Mike Bell, I mean after all he is a Shanahan guy.

Re: Eagles trade Mike Bell for Jerome Harrison
Dirtbag I thought it said James Harrison too haha. I couldn't believe it for a second, mainly because James is a 3-4 'backer and he's also pretty old.
This is a good move for the Eagles though. I can't believe the Eagles were able to move a guy like Mike Bell for him, even though Harrison fell out of favor and now that Peyton Hillis has broken out in Cleveland it would be hard for him to get pt. I don't like this trade though, Jerome Harrison is a nice backup and since he's more of a power back he'll be good at the goal line in Philly. |

Shhhhhh..... ;) Edit: I'm thinking Jerome Harrison should change his name to Jerome TresTres to avoid any further confusion with James Harrison. |
Re: Eagles trade Mike Bell for Jerome Harrison
i dont think we'll get williams, nor do i think he's going anywhere anyways... i'd rather keep our picks
