Redskins 2010 Body Count
Even though the defense is giving up a ton of yards, they've been doing some damage to the best players on the other team. So far big time players they've knocked out of games or banged up include:
Houston-Andre Johnson (ankle) St. Louis-Stephen Jackson (leg) Philly-Mike Vick (sternum), LeSean McCoy (ribs) Green Bay-Rodgers (concussion), Finley (knee), Lee (shoulder) Indy-Addai (shoulder), Clark (wrist) We've got some serious bangers right now, with all the injuries we've caused are they playing hard and tough or dirty? |
Re: Redskins 2010 Body Count
They're bringin' the Paintrain!
They're playing hard from what I've seen. I haven't seen any illegal hits. |
Re: Redskins 2010 Body Count
Just seems like a lot of clean hard hits.

Re: Redskins 2010 Body Count
What about Clay Mathews for GB
|
Re: Redskins 2010 Body Count
Thats not even the whole list of guys we've injured. We've been knocking out like 4 guys a game
|
Re: Redskins 2010 Body Count
This has been bizarre. I'm wondering who on the Bears will sit down for the rest of the year? Cutler, Hester, Forte?
|
Re: Redskins 2010 Body Count
This year's version is the hardest hitting Skins team that we've seen in a while. It is such a pleasure to watch our guys smash some mouths.
|
Re: Redskins 2010 Body Count
I'm convinced our physicality is what is keeping us in games.
|
Re: Redskins 2010 Body Count
Thanx Pain, I somewhat asked for a thread like this a couple of days ago so we could keep track of the punishment being delt out.
I don't want to sound like I'm happy our team is injurying people, but I am happy they are hitting and teams hopefully will be afraid to play us for a reason. |
Re: Redskins 2010 Body Count
Ok Pain you forgot some, perhaps they were already injured when we played them and made it worse but here is the list from ExtremeSkins;
Week 1: Demarcus Ware, Dez Bryant Week 2: Andre Johnson Week 3: Steve Jackson Week 4: Michael Vick, LeSean McCoy, Asante Samuel, Riley Cooper Week 5: Aaron Rodgers, Jermichael Finley, Clay Matthews Week 6: Joseph Addai, Dallas Clark, Austin Collie Body Bags (merged 2x)) |
Re: Redskins 2010 Body Count
They're playing more physical than the other guys. I love it.
Now we just need the offense to step up and dominate and for Fat Albert to stand up and be a man. |
Re: Redskins 2010 Body Count
Asante Sameul and Riley Cooper of the Eagles sustained concussions.

Re: Redskins 2010 Body Count
How exactly did we hurt Bryant? I know Ware, but I don't believe Bryant ever got hurt.
|
Re: Redskins 2010 Body Count
Some of these aren't from hard hits necessarily, but it does seem like the body count piles up in our favor each week.
|
Re: Redskins 2010 Body Count
If the Skins hit Cutler as many times as I think they will Sunday, he may get knocked out, or at least throw some bad balls that lead to picks. Unless he throws to Carlos Rogers.... there won't be any picks there.
How exactly did we hurt Bryant? I know Ware, but I don't believe Bryant ever got hurt.
I think it was a bruised rib. |
Re: Redskins 2010 Body Count
Yeah he was hurt during the game, from a hit after he caught a ball.
I think Clay Mathews, Finley, and Lee should not be counted as they werent from contact, they just hurt themselves. The rest though got rocked. I wonder when we are going to hurt a guy returning a punt. Zo, Sellers, and Wilson lay the wood on PRs. Maybe Hester will be added to the "Hit Stick" |
Re: Redskins 2010 Body Count
the hard hits are a by product of the attitude change. The scheme is new & so is the attitude. Blache did a great job of gettin his guys to keep teams in check, but they never seemed to have anything left in the end.
The D put in its best series of the night when it counted v. Indy & got a 3/out. (Exception: need to get K. Moore to tackle better but he's a good hitter) |

Re: Redskins 2010 Body Count
He got hurt tryin to tackle Moore after the fumble recovery. He was trying to turn to come and tackle moore and just went down.
Simialar to how Moore hurt himself when he was trying to tackle the guy during the preseason fake punt against the Ravens. |

Calling Cutler and Hester this week. :)

No . |
Re: Redskins 2010 Body Count
It's one thing to knock out the opponents best players, but it's another to knock those players out while picking up a 'W'.
|
Re: Redskins 2010 Body Count
Something about this thread just strikes me as bad ju-ju.

Oh come on, we've earned this, especially after last year...but the past few years, we've been on the wrong end of this. |

ESPN: Colts place Clark on IR
Clark fell on his wrist wrong, Addai was already hurt coming into the game. D. Bryant and Ware just got shaken up. Finley and Lee weren't put out because of hard hits, C. Matthews tweaked his hamstring without contact and if he didn't we lose that game. I think some the injuries that some are posting here a really "reaching". We are playing very physical right now, but there's no need to pad the stats. |
Re: Redskins 2010 Body Count
Landry slammed Clark down pretty hard, I think you can attribute his injury in part to that hit.

Going back and looking at it, I can agree, but I'm talking about the lists with A. Johnson, Lee, Matthews, etc.. Some of those had nothing to do with hard hits, c'mon now... |

Agreed, I already made that point earlier in the thread. |
Re: Redskins 2010 Body Count
I said some of the players were probably not our fault.
But I really don't care if they got hurt by our players or not, the fact is after our games they are hurt. Yes I too feel it's bad ju ju and all I wanted was to keep a record of who gets hurt from each team we play. I also didn't want to get into calling out players of up coming games cause then it sounds like we are asking for them to be hit or calling for other teams players heads. |
Re: Redskins 2010 Body Count
If they get hurt in a game against the Redskins it counts. I don't care if they trip and fall during warm-ups...it counts. Injuries can be incremental. For all you know Mathews got hurt because Brown pushed his ass down several times as he was going fast at a low angle.

I was just thinking about this today when i saw where Clark was done. I was thinking daaaaaaaaamm we've body rocking some folks!!! But the D gets plenty of chances since they are on the field 40 mins a game!!! But we are bringing the wood!!!!! |

yeah but those teams aren't a redskins team that was 4 and 12 last year. i love the fact that we can actually have a body bag thread about OUR d, it's way better than the week 2 or 3 thread about firing hasslett. i hope osackpo and fat al tear em up this sunday!! httr!! |

I agree. But if they tripped and fell and got hurt, how would that count as the Skins D "body bagging" that player? Vick... the D PUT him out of the game, but many players on our "supposed" body count list are over-exaggerated. |

It's no accident they fell, it is the will of the gods. Obviously the gods are with us. Hail Ares! :FIREdevil |
