I'm not. Guess they didn't learn their lesson with Hutchinson. Personally I'm glad Garcia didn't land there.

I Say The Best Way To Start This Year Is No Fear Allowed.kick Ass Take Names And Keep Firing With Both Barrels Until The Deed Is Done!IT'S BEEN WAY TOO LONG SINCE WE HAD SOMETHING TO BRAG ABOUT...I THINK THIS IS OUR TIME TO SHINE.MAYBE NOT THE SUPER BOWL BUT THE NFC EAST AT FED EX FIELD WON'T BE A GUARANTEED W THIS SEASON.

offiss 03-12-2004 09:17 PM

The henson signing doesn't bother me, being a yankee fan I have come to believe that drew isn't to bright, parcell's does have a way with QB's but this kid I believe is a major project to say the lest.

SmootSmack 03-12-2004 09:23 PM

Isn't it amazing how just a couple of days ago we were saying the Cowboys have been too quiet this offseason and now they've added Wiley and Henson.

I don't think we should be scared by Henson this year, maybe a couple of years down the line though.

Don't know about you guys, but I have a feeling we could see a late season Monday night (or even Thanksgiving day) matchup between the Cowboys and Skins and it will actually mean something! Not a battle to see who can avoid going 0-5 first (DAMN YOU STEPHEN DAVIS!!!!)

skins009 03-12-2004 09:24 PM

Don't be scared, we have the future star at quaterback, and his name is Patrick Ramsey.

Daseal 03-12-2004 09:49 PM

Henson still has a whole lot to prove. I'm not at all worried.

I actually feel sorry for Quincy Carter. That kid tried really hard last season. As much as I hate the cowboys, I feel bad for him.

Portis 03-12-2004 09:55 PM

What is there to be scared off? He will make all the rookie mistakes. QB position is the hardest position to master.

Paintrain 03-12-2004 10:11 PM

Not worried at all.. But with Carter, Hutchinson and Henson the Cowboys could kick our ass in a baseball game!!

JWsleep 03-12-2004 11:17 PM

Brunell and Ramsey VS Henson and Carter?

No contest. Skins all the way.

haha thats the funniest thing i've ever heard.

Gmanc711 03-13-2004 01:22 AM

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHH A kid who started 8 Games outside of high school in his life. BOOGIE BOOGIE BOOGIE BOOGIE!! I'm not scared, we proboly have three qbs on our roster that can outplay any on the Cowboys. I cant wait to play these guys

Ghost 03-13-2004 01:25 AM

The thing that scares me about the Cowboys is their defense and it keeps getting scarier.

SittingBull 03-13-2004 02:39 AM

yeah like i said in another post their defense seems to be tailored to stopping Portis specifically. Big hard to move linemen and quick agile linebackers. They'll be causing us problems I think.

Ghost 03-13-2004 03:14 AM

We'll cause them problems too. It'll be nice to have a competitive rivalry again.

Boy8 03-13-2004 06:18 AM

I agree that the rivalry is back and it's a great thing. I also think that the Cowboys defense is going to be a problem and if they get an improved pass ruch out of Wiley then Brunnel's going to have problems.

As for Henson, I don't think he plays in 2004. His 8 year contract is voidable to 4 years if he takes 15% of the snaps next year and I think they'd like to avoid that.

I think we'll be seeing more of Quincy Carter and there's still a rumour Vinny Testeverde might be his backup.

backrow 03-13-2004 07:33 AM

I'm afraid the 'roids....

I'm afraid the cowroids are going crazy over on their talk boards applauding the move! I agree, that's crazy! Drew never proved anything. But don't tell them that! I'll bet they think it is the second coming of Aikman!

Let's compare:
Drew for a 3rd (Hasn't done diddly)
Brunnell for a 3rd (9th ranked QB all time)

Not fair! Cowroids get to do the Drew! IMO, they will regret the move, just like all of the major cash they are paying Hutch. So the Drew they will be doing is regrets!

OK I see your point, but is this not the problem around here?

Brunnel for a third and a ton of money for 2-3 seasons (if that - injuries, cap problems???) against a third and low cap figure for 4-8 years of potential.

Ghost 03-13-2004 11:09 PM

The real question is how good will Henson be. He may not fulfill his potential. We know what Brunell can do and the secondary effect of signing him is that it will likely raise Patrick Ramsey's game to new levels. The bet here is that Drew Henson doesn't have the desire for football and won't be much better than Chad Hutchinson.

johnnyredskin63 03-14-2004 10:04 AM

:dallas: drew henson can't step in next year and be the reincarnation of troy aikman so i ai'nt worried.QC will start next year and henson may get to play some but not a whole lot i would think.he'll be the greenest rookie that
is on the roster next year.

azskinsfan2 03-14-2004 11:15 AM

I seriously doubt Henson will play very much at all this season and if he does, he'll be very rusty. He hasn't played in about 4 years and he's never faced an NFL pass rush!!! I've never seen much in QC though, so Henson might not have that much to go to overtake him as the starter.
I really look forward to playing the girls this season, and the other East teams too. Think we're going to have a great season!!!

Carnage 03-14-2004 02:17 PM

This trade epitomizes the arogance of Jones. It is not enough to draft or trade for a QB, he is obsessed with "discovering" one from baseball. Thats why he overspent for Hutchinson and reached for Carter after their failed baseball careers.
