Skins-Giants MVP?
vote and discuss, who gets your gameball?
|
I gev it to the O line, because....... well you saw the game
|
Portis!!
So, who still thinks he's a "system" back? |
I went with the coaches. The offense finally produced like we knew it could with playcalling. Great job Gibbs!
|
Ramsey really shined today, he gets my vote
|
I'll go o-line. I really wanna go Ramsey because he's my boy, I really wanna go Portis because I felt bad about how he was unfairly treated this week, but the Oline made it possible for both of them. The defense did their job. For once, everyone did so much good, that you cant say who did the best. Better than voting on who was the goat this week thats for sure.
THE WASHINGTON REDSKINS AS A TEAM GET MY GAMEBALL! |
Portis. When he gets over 100, we win. He came out and set the tone, and never let up. Everything else followed. Close second: Ramsey, for his poise and consistency, and his fire. Three: Thomas. Led the o-lne with an injured leg. A Redskin.
Hell, they all looked good today, except Ade Jimoh, alas. He got burned on the long pass, and on the kickoff return. He must have incriminating pictures of Snyder, or something. |
i think any of the obove could be the mvp but i voted for ramsey, today he really looked good
|
I'm picking Ramsey. He really fired the ball in there where it needed to be. No ints! Also, Ramsey going to Gibbs in the week and asking him to open the offense up made a difference. There seem to be a few more long throws each week. Things were really clicking. :food-smil

WRs/WR coaches. Not only did they execute today, they didn't drop the catches they should've made. They made big blocks and ran good routes. Today they did everything they should have done all season long. 3 games this season stick out to me that we could have won if we would have executed better (Green Bay, Clevland, Cincinatti). Man, if we could have just executed in those games, we would be a 7-5 team instead of 4-8.
Good play all around though, really impressed with Ramsey managing the game, Portis and Betts running, blocking. Defensive play is awesome. GO SKINS!! |
my vote was for ramsey he had a hell of a game as well as the whole team
|
offensive line. i feel like i'm the biggest Portis jocker on this board at times, and he was amazingly slippery AGAIN, but man the offensive line was everywhere. pulling, blocking linebackers, seeing Samuels down field blocking for Coles..
Randy Thomas should get the ball for coming back prematurely while still injured. but, ultimately, if the O-Line plays well, the RBack will play well, the RBack plays well, the QBack can play well. it all starts up front. |
Ramsey. He's been looking better every game. Man that we a fun game to watch.
|
I vote for Portis's socks!!!
Did anyone see how many first downs we had in the game today... 27!!!! That is awsome! Just wanted to pass that stat along, but didnt really think it deserved its own thread, but I think that shows how well our offense played. |
I voted for Portis cuz he had a heck of a game, but it could easily go to the o-line, ramsey, or the defense. I loved it when ramsey ran down field after a pass to coles and helped coles get up off the ground, freakin awesome. the only negative I have about the d was that they dropped two easy ints, lol. plus how about some dap for betts making the most of his oppurtunites? where r those wishing we'd cut him in the preseason for mcullough?
|
whole team, game planning... seems like everything came together this week. good job skins!
|
I voted Other. I think the entire offense deserves the mvp...The o-line protected ramsey...ramsey got the ball to the receivers...the receivers actually caught the balls...portis and betts were awesome...and the coaches called a great game..
But of course I think the defense was solid. Can't take anything away from them. Oh hell, I really think the magic socks get the mvp..There was a pair on offense and defense....so it's even. (M)ost (V)aluable (P)air...of socks...lol |
It was a complete game, so it's tough to choose. I went with Portis because he played mistake free football after three bad outings. Lots of second effort and decisiveness.
This game is what we expected all along. There will be bumps along the road, but if you had to explain Joe Gibbs football to someone, you'd show them this tape. |
O-Line made everything possible so they get my vote. Best thing I heard on the post game spin is what Sonny siad on his "Final thougt" on NBC. Something like "Great day for the coaches since they were able to prove that what they were doing would work in this league if the players execute it correctly." I thinm everything was hitting on all cylinders for the first time in a long long while.
|
I went with the O-line. Really, the entire team deserves it...well except for special teams. Ramsey and Portis were excellent, but Betts also had a great day relieving CP (11 carries for 64 yds), so the O-line deserves the props.
Also, GREAT play calling by Gibbs! And all of the WR's actually caught the ball!!! :biggthump :headbange |
games portis over 100 yrds 4-0 please remember that
|
It should go to Jeff Feagles. He had a bunch of great punts forcing the Skins to start inside their 20. The skins were then able to get a few extra practice plays as they marched down the field. If the skins had started at the 35 a few times for example, they may have had 2 or 3 less plays per drive and thus not had as good of a practice as they did for next week's game.
Damn, I am losing my mind. |
I went with Ramsey - I thought he played awesome, but this was the hardest poll ever. Portis was great as was the O line. The receivers caught the ball. The playcalling was superb and let's not forget the DEFENSE. They've been playing so well I feel like I'm starting to take them for granted. The whole team deserves a game ball except for the punt coverage.
