Was Ryan Torain's injury career ending or something???

Seriously, where the hell has this guy been? I didnt think that he was that seriously injured. Still says he has hamstring problems but i'm beginning to wonder if Ryan Torain is actually deceased.

He's been gone for 5 games?? I was hoping this guy was the next feature back, but now i guess he doesnt even return to football this year...very disappointing.

I think I read somewhere that Shanahan was disappointed in his rehabbing of the injury... Not sure though.

Torain has a peg leg, took a while for Shanahan to notice though...what with his glass eye

Seeing how the Skins rehabbed Malcolm Kelly's hammy in pre-season, then Carlos Rogers' last month, I'm not putting much faith that our training staff is very good at getting guys with hamstring injuries back and ready to go.

People, this shouldn't be that much of a surprise, Torain coming out of college was graded as a first -second rounder, but what dropped him down to the fifth round was his injuries, he is very injury prone. Yes when he's on the field he plays like a top ten back, but he's off the field more than he's on.

exactly what i was going to post, this is why i just don't see him being around as a skin, it'd be nice if it could happen but so far it ain't lookin good.

That's way generous IMO. I think he's about a top 30 back at best, he often misses holes, doesn't have great speed & can only run straight ahead in the open field. I don't think his vision is that good, but when he cuts decisively he does hit the hole hard.

How many other backs do you know of in the league that can carry LB's with them and run over people on a daily basis...not many. He scores TD's and he's good at it.

The Malcolm Kelly of RBs, except he's at least shown he can make some plays.

Torain is a decent player but nothing that scares anyone, we need an explosive RB, I'd rather stick with Davis and see what he can do

I was kind of surprised Shanny let Alridge walk. Not that he's an everdown back, but I thought he could be an electrifying change of pace guy

Maybe we can look at D.Williams, I doubt Car brings him back

I guess having two runts who are practically returners with fumbling problems was not deemed to be worth it. :D

Re: Was Ryan Torain's injury career ending or something???

Torain is a walking injury type. Many of us did question his staying power. What we need is to find the next Brandon Jacobs or Brian Westbrook, or better yet Stephen Davis.

Re: Was Ryan Torain's injury career ending or something???

I like Torain as a running back but I swear, if he gets injured again this season, we might not keep him around. It's hard to keep around a guy who can barely get on the field, and as good as he is, it's not like he's shown that he's the next Adrian Peterson when he's been on the field.

Re: Was Ryan Torain's injury career ending or something???

I question the talent of the training/conditioning staff. That many weeks for a strained hamstring is unacceptable by any standards. You dont see this happening on any other team, where so many people begin the season with injuries, etc....

Re: Was Ryan Torain's injury career ending or something???

Hammy's are tough, he tried coming back a few weeks ago and ended up tweaking it again. That sort of thing happens often.

So I guess he's not dead eh?

Just hope the guy can stay healthy, he definitely deserves to be in the mix next year.

If Torain continues his performance from last game through out the remaining season, I do not see any reason why he would not be in the mix next year..
