wow. the superintendent said "God was standing in front of me and I will go to my grave believing that." How the shooter missed him is very amazing, his hands were calm, and looked like he was pointed dead on. Believe or not, that would shake a person's core.

Awe cmon man, should anybody really be shocked by this? Insane shit happens everyday in this world. Just when you think people couldn't do anything more stupid something new and more stupid comes out. Nutjobs exist, and as time has proved, eventually they would do things that label them as nutjobs.

My question is what was that lady thinking? Hitting his gun hand with her purse? There's gotta be something that could do more damage than that. Sure it was an admirable effort but it looked like she just rushed into battle with a weak plan.

Its not like she had time to sit back and analyze the situation and the purse was what she had. Its not like she was trying to beat the man to death she was trying to knock the gun out of his hand with an unexpected hit. When I first saw the video I thought she was nuts and going to hit him in his head but when she went for the gun I thought that was a smart move. Probably not the smartest plan but she was trying to save a persons life. Not sure if I would have acted like that if I was given the chance to leave the room.

Did what? Fire his wife? Have the courage to stand up to a man pointing a gun at him? You know, you never know how a person will respond to a dangerous situation. The Superintendent had a lot of courage to stand up to him.

Standing up to him like that. That was gutsy but if the gunman knew how to fire a gun, was angered and killed everyone in the room, we would be saying the superintendent is an idiot.

True. Everybody in that room was pretty lucky it went down the way it did. Anything could've set that gunman off, the lady hitting him with her purse, the Superintendent standing up to him, it was very lucky the only person who got hurt in that whole ordeal was the gunman.

As for that picture, I only think it's funny because she lived to tell the tale. There wouldn't have been anything funny about it had he turned around and popped her.

I heard on the news that the lady sold the purse for over $13,000 on ebay. The funds where matched by the manufacturer of the purse and donated to some cause.
