Unofficial 2011 Opponents
If there is a 2011, based on the rulebook for scheduling, here are our opponents for next year:
HOME: Dallas, Philadelphia, New York, Minnesota, New England, NY Jets, San Francisco, Seattle AWAY: Dallas, Philadelphia, New York, Carolina, Buffalo, Miami, Arizona, St. Louis Redskins finish in last place, 2011 opponents set - Redskins Journal The tougher games seem to be at home, though we've been a horrible home team lately, and those that should be easier are on the road. |
Re: Unofficial 2011 Opponents
I just hope the Buffalo game isn't in Toronto.

Re: Unofficial 2011 Opponents
Well if the teams were similar to what they were this year.. I see a potential 8-8 season. Hallelujah. If we make some DIRE changes during the off season, hopefully better than that.

I think that we can be capable of winning 6 at home, 5 on the road. I'm not predicting 11-5 though. I'll have us 5-3 at home and 4-4 on the road. A lot can change before now and then though. |

lolololololololololololol :Smoker: No f*cking sweat, where's the super bowl being played next year? |
Re: Unofficial 2011 Opponents
Are we definitely behind Dallas?

Re: Unofficial 2011 Opponents
Watch, the year we finally get the NFC West is the year they rebound and become respectable again
|
Re: Unofficial 2011 Opponents
Best thing for me about next year's schedule is the Redskins are coming to play Miami so I'll go to at least one Redskins game next season.

I'm just glad we're not playing the Lions again. That's 1 win! |
Re: Unofficial 2011 Opponents
I prefer to analyze our opponents when the schedule comes out, it always seems like our schedule has rough and supposedly easy stretches. I thought the opening stretch of our schedule in '09 should've been relatively easy and we sucked lol.
Overall from just analyzing our opponents for next season though I see plenty of tough opponents. I'll wait until the offseason is over and the schedule is set before I try to figure out what our odds of success are for next season. I feel like we could see plenty of turnover this offseason so it's hard to get an idea of where we're at and where we could be. |

Yes they went 3-3 in div and finished same record as us overall.. So we finished 4th |

I dunno since that means the lions finished third in their division and we finished 4th in ours :-( |
Re: Unofficial 2011 Opponents
Wow, thats a fairly easy schedule.
Is someone actually being nice to us? Jets and Pats are the only really scary ones on that list. |

I don't think it matters. The Redskins have played poorly against the NFC west even when they are awful. |

Seattle and Rams are currently playing for a playoff spot and the Redskins have lost the last 2 straight games to the Rams. Not an easy schedule by any means. |
Re: Unofficial 2011 Opponents
The only "easy" teams we get are 'Zona, Seattle, and Buffalo.
Of course, we could sign a ton of quality free agents this year and go 10-6 just like Gibbs II. |

Or London. :soapbox: |
Re: Unofficial 2011 Opponents
The schedule on it's surface appears favorable but, by the teams own admission, they struggle finding ways to win the games they are expected to win. No easy games in the NFL.

That schedule was ridiculously easy. We're talking WAC easy. Detroit, St. Louis, Tampa, and Kansas City. 4 of the teams that picked in the top 5 of the 2010 NFL draft. Carolina was a nice touch as well. |

Even though the trend has been broken with regards to NFC South division winners, that division always has had a team that looks like a perennial loser only for that team to revitalize itself a year or two later. |
