Re: How Wilson Manufactures Footballs
Very cool....
The guy that's inverting those skins looks like he'd get worn out after a few hours. I wonder if they rotate their positions/jobs. |

Re: How Wilson Manufactures Footballs
They said that one lady has been blown balls for 37 years.
|
Re: How Wilson Manufactures Footballs
She has the easiest job in the place.
The lady that does the laces has a strenuous job too, but she seems to work at a fast pace. The box lady was impressive too. I used to fold pizza boxes by the hundreds at a time...paper cuts. Cardboard can slice you up nasty. |
Re: How Wilson Manufactures Footballs
That's awesome, hopefully they continue it there forever.

LOL! She's a real pro at handling those balls! |
Re: How Wilson Manufactures Footballs
You know those people don't always work that fast. Anytime you have the boss there and a camera going you step it up a notch. I wonder how many footballs the NFL actually goes through every year.
|
Re: How Wilson Manufactures Footballs
Ok I know the answer.
Let me google that for you |

Re: How Wilson Manufactures Footballs
That was really interesting to watch. And I'm probably the only guy here who missed that blowing balls bit.

Wow, blowing balls, handling balls, it only took about 10 posts to take this thread into the gutter. Well done guys! |
Re: How Wilson Manufactures Footballs
I tried to ignore FD's derailment and keep it on the tracks. Impossible task I guess.

Re: How Wilson Manufactures Footballs
OMG!!!! THis reminds me of a funny story. And I swear to the man above this is true...
I run into an old buddy and his new G-friend, during small talk i ask her where she works. She then says over at some bs company across town. I asked her what she did for the company. She then stated that the company made "door handles" and she then started getting real red in the face. So like the gentleman I am, I pressed the issue and asked her what she did for the company, and she stated "I make sure the outer coating is smooth, shiney and ready for packaging". Then she just busts out laughing and says OK YOU GOT ME!! I polish knobs for them!! So be caureful, there are girls out there that really polish knobs for a living in a factory. |
