Kemo is done?
More reason to draft a NT at #1?

Re: Kemo is done?
Needs surgery? Yep, he might as well hang them up.
|
Re: Kemo is done?
He was horrible this year so I can see why they are parting ways with him. I'm definitely down with this team drafting a DL and pick up a G/C in the second round. Sure would love to have those 3/4 round picks. :(
It's depressing to think how many holes we really have on this team. |
Re: Kemo is done?
That's probably why we talked to Rogers.
|
Re: Kemo is done?
I am sure it is a two way break up....the coaches probably evaluated film from the games last season and realized he did not play well.
|
Re: Kemo is done?
I admire the guy for coming back, putting in all the hard work and trying to make a go of it. It was plain to see he just didn't have it anymore.

Re: Kemo is done?
Thank God we switched to the 3 4 last season, we might not have as many glaring holes to fill with quick patch work fixes.....
|
Re: Kemo is done?
I'm not sure anyone thought he'd be back. His contract was extremely contact laden and made it easy for us to part with him
|
Re: Kemo is done?
He's not any good anyway
|
Re: Kemo is done?
he was done last year

Re: Kemo is done?
Draft draft draft. Did anyone hear the same things I heard about this years class of DL? Although they are talented, none would project to be a good NT. I think it was the NFL network during the Senior Bowl practices. So the draft might not be the answer at that position and why we are looking at Rogers.

There's only 2 guys that have gotten some press - J. Powe from Missippi (I think) & Taylor from Baylor. If we end up getting a 3rd and/or 4th & one of those guys is there they might be good picks, but at this point it doesn't sound like either one is likely to be that high on our board. Maybe the biggest positive at the end of the year was the play of Anthony Bryant. I thought the entire defense looked better when he was playing well. |
Re: Kemo is done?
We need help at NT but not with the #10 pick.

Is this sarcasm? We were a top 10 defense for most of the last decade, and last year we were the 31st defense. |

Best player available Matty. But it doesnt look like Fairley will be there at 10, so it will be a wideout in all likelihood. |

Or Cameron Jordan. |

We could trade down and pick up Phil Taylor, the DT from Baylor. However, as someone mentioned, he has had some character issues. |
Re: Kemo is done?
1. Phil Taylor NT, Baylor
2. Jerrell Powe NT, Ole Miss 3. Kendrick Ellis NT, Hampton One or two of those guys needs to be a redskin come April, or its a failed draft IMO. |
Re: Kemo is done?
What about Stephen Paea?

Re: Kemo is done?
how is this even news ? this guy was a shot in the dark anyways due to injuries .. he didn't play this year and wasn't a factor for this year ..move on .. SIGN ROGERS

6'1 314, isn't exactly a NT IMO. He's a 4-3 DT. |
Re: Kemo is done?
I have more faith in our coach and GM than to draft a NT at #10

At the very least he has the correct height to get leverage on centers and guards. Also don't forget that Aubrayo Franklin is considered a top 5 NT at 6-1 317 evidenced in part by his recent franchise tag status. Theres also the option of putting on 20 or 30 pounds. |
