Haslett ... was he in stl when they drafted OJ? Connection could be a good thing.. more upside than Sanders that for sure

Re: bad day for safties: rams relwasr O.J. Atogwe
Dang it is a bad day for safetys. Id take oj over bob though
|
Re: bad day for safties: rams relwasr O.J. Atogwe
Wouldnt mind seeing him next to Laron in the secondary. A more reliable option than Bob Sanders, and really a guy in his prime where Sanders appears past his prime. Get it done Bruce Bruce

Re: bad day for safties: rams relwasr O.J. Atogwe
Don't get excited guys....I don't think this guy is going anywhere....just my opinion...but I think he will end up staying with the Rams...wouldn't be suprised if the cowboys went after him to help out their new defensive coordinator

Well then Danny needs to fuel up "Redskins 1" so Mr Allen go get there first. We sure could use a few quality free agents to gel with this team. OJ to DC! |
Re: bad day for safties: rams relwasr O.J. Atogwe
I'd rather give Kevin Barnes a shot.

Re: bad day for safties: rams relwasr O.J. Atogwe
Bad days for safeties indeed, the Texans released their FS Eugene Wilson. I liked what Scouts Inc. had to say about him
"Grade: 65 | Key Comment: Wilson has been a starter for pretty much his whole career. He signed with the Texans before the 2008 season and has given Houston a good leader and field general in their secondary. He is a bit undersized for the position but brings excellent instincts and a good knowledge of the defensive scheme. Wilson is more effective in coverage than he is in run support, but he is a willing tackler on run defense. He has excellent route recognition and does a good job of reading the quarterback to get a jump on the ball. He will get overpowered to the ball by bigger receivers but won't back down from any challenge." I still think that Barnes should be given a shot, but I think a guy like Wilson could be brought as a back up and insurance. Maybe we should have a mega Free Safety Free Agents thread. LOL. |

Don't you mean migraine. :) Although that's a clear cut sign of a stroke the lady at the Grammy's had a migraine. Supposedly effects 1 in 5 migraine patients. |
Re: bad day for safties: rams relwasr O.J. Atogwe
OJ > Bob. I like Kevin Barnes alot but i dont think his frame could last a whole season at FS. His stock in the draft dropped because he broke his shoulder making a tackle. Freak thing? Possibly. He played real solid at FS last season but still dunno if he could make it thru a 16 or 18 (ugh) game season.

Re: bad day for safties: rams relwasr O.J. Atogwe
I hope we can trade McNabb and Haynesworth for picks rather than just relwasring them.

This is awesome. If we added Atogwe, Shaun Rogers, and another DE/LB in the draft our defense from a talent standpoint tremendously jumps. |
Re: bad day for safties: rams relwasr O.J. Atogwe
Yeah why not kick the tires on him at the least
|
Re: bad day for safties: rams relwasr O.J. Atogwe
As long as the guy can tackle better than Moore then I'm all for it.

Re: bad day for safties: rams relwasr O.J. Atogwe
I can't believe they would relwasr him!
I say, take him. We've discussed it before and he should be comfortable playing for Haslett. Even if he's lost a step (obviously has), he'd still be better than Lance Moore. If we're not going to use Barnes at FS full-time, we need to upgrade the spot. We'll just have to figure out how to remember how to spell the nameOshiomogho. Source other than PFT: 101 ESPN/Post: NFL Notebook: Atogwe to Visit Redskins I don't like this line...could put us at a slight disadvantage:
His family will grow on May 21, when he will be married to Jill Singletary, the daughter of former San Francisco 49ers head coach Mike Singletary, now an assistant with the Minnesota Vikings.
|

Just be glad you didn't use an iPhone. It would have changed it to something obscene. |

I don't think Atogwe is very good, but he does fill a need.
