I'm with you. The run up the middle obviously wasn't netting any yards. How about we get a first down. God, that makes me sick. The playcalling for most of the game was decent. Nice balance. Until we had a 4 point lead....

Sorry but the injuries had nothing to do with it. Joe Gibbs is famous for running out the clock when he has the lead by running the ball. Well that cost the victory. There is no excuse to run the ball on 1st and 2nd down and gain short yards so you have to throw on 3rd. It's been the same all year. You can't run out the clock when the other team has all of their timeouts!

Running the ball, running the clock and making them burn their time outs and leaving the game to your 2nd ranked D is absolutely the right way to go in that situation.

If you throw and it's incomplete you stop the clock and save them their time outs.

The turnover is what killed us, and Taylor leaving a WR wide freaking open streaking down the sideline.

Whatever, I don't care, we're just jinxed against these guys. I don't get it.

We can put this lose square on the shoulders of Joe GIbbs. Grow some balls. Go out and win the game.

How about Sean Taylor blowing that coverage?????? If Ramsey threw a pick at the end, you'd all be " Joe Gibbs why are we throwing it bla bla bla"

We went out and tried to win a game like that against the Eagles, look what happend.

Why in the world would you have your only starting corner (Springs) playing the flats on that play?!

They have been doing the same thing all year...1st and goal they have run 1st and 2nd down and had to throw on 3rd down..that is why we have been so unsuccessful scoring TD's in the redzone this year. And they have done the same thing all year when having the lead. The defense knew what they were going to do...I knew what they were going to do...my ten year old son knew what they were going to do. Eventually you have to mix it up. A 1st down would have sealed the game..PERIOD!!! Play action pass...a reverse..anything to mix it up would have been better

I can't believe she said it but she doesn't understand...you never call a win right before the end of the game...needless to say she is mad at me now because i really lit into her about jinxing a game. so basically she lost the damn game for us...and yes i am superstitious

Throwing the ball with the lead and under 2 minutes to go is retarded and rarely will you see teams do that.

Burn their time outs and leave it up to your defense, especially when the D is 2nd overall.

Taylor getting burnt was just inexcusable. A rookie mistake, unfortunately it cost us the ball game.

Redzone offense in the first, and we couldn't ice it with the running game. I agree you don't throw it, but wow, you gotta pick up that first. We're just not that good. We gave up 13 on the road and lost. That means we scored less than 12 points against the weak-ass cowroid D. We made them look good.

And maybe a prevent is in order down there with the roids having no TOs and needing 7? Taylor got burned, but still.

MY FUCKING GRANDFATHER CALLED AND DID THE SAME GOD DAMN THING. He's lucky he's my grandfather, because if that was my girlfriend or wife, I would have gone to town.

sometimes you have to take chances....eventually playing conservative will get you in the end..and it did. Not once has Coach Gibbs taken a chance and hoped for the best. Ramsey was playing outstanding in the second half. He was 7 for 7 on the TD drive. They were expecting the run from us and we delivered. Every now and then you have to take a chance. I agree most of the time running out the clock is a good idea..but geesh...every now and then you have to take a chance and trust in your QB also.

I can't believe we have to live with this. What a bummer. Ok. As bad as it feels for us, it's gotta feel worse for the players, right? I hope so, or they shouldn't be back.

We keep saying it because danny keeps starting from scratch every season. We never get a chance to build a team more than 2 years.

Those were easily the sorriest 2 1/2 minutes of football I've ever seen. It was like the skins gave up on the game once they got the lead!

We did do something different today. We didn't throw a lot to Cooley. All game and all year our CBs have lined up 6-8 yards off the opponents WRs. As much as it drives me nuts, it's pretty effective for the talent we have. Why did we get away from that on a desperation drive is beyond my belief. We were probably better off blitzing Springs on that play. In Sean Taylor's defense, wasn't the slot WR running a deep post and wideout streaking towards the endzone?

Lay off of Taylor, your moms, girlfriends, wives, and especially grandpas. The cowpusses scored on a play that was easily defendable. We had stuffed them every time with the blitz, especially in the fourth quarter. Why in hell, when we had them in a situation where the only way they could win was to score a touchdown and the only way they could score a touchdown was with the deep pass, did we switch to prevent mode and give slow-assed Testaverde time to throw the ball deep? Oh, well, once again, there's always next year... We really lost the game on that punt return fumble anyway...

We had two offensive series in the last 2 1/2 minutes and could not garner 1 first down against a defense we had just drove the length of the field on. Our last defensive series we put almost zero pressure on Vinny and he beats us on a straight up fly pattern. We didn't just lose it on one play, we let the game slip away in the last 2 1/2 minutes by not finishing them off plain and simple.

I agree. Theres no one I'm gonna blame. Taylor or Springs f*cked up, what are you going to do. I just dont understand how it gets to that. I Dont know, I really have no words, but I dont think a lack of effort was the reason for this loss.

I think everyone will agree that we played "not to lose" instead of playing to win the game. Ramsey did have two INTs, but one (Kozlowski) wasn't totally his fault. We do a lot of fancy things on offfense except for throwing it deep. When will Gibbs take the handcuffs off?

Same stupid crap we run when they beat us with the same play, year-in-year-out. :vomit-smi

Several guys on defense were quoted earlier this year saying that "We don't have a prevent defense". The fact that Testicleverde had enough time to throw one deep cost us the game. Most safeties will get burned in a cover two defense against a 4 WR set. I thought Gibbs coached well down the stretch. Having a top rated defense, you don't want too much pressure on a young QB.

But we gave up a 3rd for Brunell. Didn't we give up a 1st for Portis too?

Everything we gave up was for this last draft. It was a second for portis btw.

Antonio Brown won't even be given a bus ticket home. Smoot may be gone. Only his personality will be missed. It seems to boil down to having a legitimate pass rushing DE. That should free up our more athletic LBs. Nice FG 'attempt' by Chandler.

What do you mean his personality will only be missed. Give me a break. He has one somewhat bad game, and you wanna run him out of town. In my opinion he is the single most importnat peice to that defensive team.
