I was sitting at my dest and everything started shaking and it lasted fro about 10 seconds. My emp. is from CA and she said she agreed. We don't get them in Va and it was really weird. I could see stuff shaking on the walls.

Yeah, that was a good one (for us East Coast folks). I'm about 60 miles SW of DC. Shook the building pretty good.

My office is really close to BWI and it felt pretty strong to me even though we're on the ground floor. That was pretty intense (my first earthquake, I feel like I've grown up a little today), I can't even imagine what a stronger one would be like!

Felt it here in NC. Just got off phone with my girl in DC. Everything is ok so far.


Also, we have a hurricane scheduled to hit this Saturday. Good week for mother nature.

I felt here upper MD, my sister said she felt it in Philly.

We really felt it here you couldn't miss it.

My wife called from the house and said "You know all the pictures you put up half ass well you have to re-hang them." LOL! fawk!

yeah its epicenter was about 10-15 miles west of here in the Glen Alen/Short Pump area. I thought it was a tornado or nearby explosion because who the hell expects an earthquake of that magnitude in VA?! Slept through a few of these in San Diego, but definitely a crazy occurence and what makes it worse is there is possibly also a hurricane possibly hitting the area this weekend.

Felt it here in VB too. Haven't felt one since I was in Japan in '88. Nothing falling or shaking, just that weird off-balance feeling.

Crazy Quake! Wow. I sat at computer thinking local rock quary had used dynomite again. But it kept on getting worse. I started to run outside and it started calming down.
