We Want Dallas! 2011 Thread
After a come from behind win of the Cardinals, our fans started chanting we want dallas. Dallas barely got by San Fran today. Romo broke a rib.
And now this Cowboys get bad injury news on Felix Jones, Miles Austin | ProFootballTalk Oh and we have an extra day to get healthy and mostly likely could have Landry healthy being that he said he'll be ready in two weeks, a couple weeks ago. Could, just could, the Skins be 3-0? Post your pregame thoughts here Skins fans. |
Re: We Want Dallas! 2011 Thread
Romo has gotta be hurting tonight, wonder if he'll be iffy for next week.
|
Re: We Want Dallas! 2011 Thread
It would be truly sweet to be 3-0 and have two divisional wins, one of them on the road, even leaving the Dallas part aside.
That said, Duck Fallas. |
Re: We Want Dallas! 2011 Thread
He'll play, but damn he's gotta be sore as heck.
|
Re: We Want Dallas! 2011 Thread
SF is a team just like the Redskins, good all around team with a shaky QB (give the edge to Grossman over Smith) and it's coached well. Should be interesting next Monday night. The Cowboys are hurting (Romo, Jones, Bryant, Austin).

Re: We Want Dallas! 2011 Thread
I hope to see an Orakpo/Kerrigan sandwich with Romo in the middle come gametime. Also, I realize that it's Dallas week but I can't help but feel we're obsessed as a fanbase when fans start chanting We Want Dallas as soon as the turnover is confirmed that wins us the game. I mean honestly it makes us look a little obsessive. Can't we even give us until the end of the day to enjoy the win before we already start talking about beating Dallas?
With all that said, I'm with Lotus in saying Duck Fallas. :dallas: |
Re: We Want Dallas! 2011 Thread
You know what -- after the Arizona game, there's obviously a lot to clean up. That being said, overall, I feel totally comfortable saying we're a better team than Dallas or at least as good as Dallas. Psyched for the game next week and hope all the mistakes we made this week are corrected so that we can dominate those a-holes wire to wire.

Damarcus Ware is going to give us fits, no doubt about it.

Silverback is going to have to step up -- he has had a few lapses in the first few games. Hope that gets cleaned up. |

But is he a manly man that can only be claimed to hang out amongst the manliest of men? |

http://www.thewarpath.net/images/icons/icon10.gif I honestly would not expect anything else from the guys and gals at FedEx after we had it won! I also would say we are obsessed with beating Dallas at all times. I could see Romo not making it out of the game next week. |

Sorry about that. That was suppose to be the super smiley face gif. Don't know why that popped up there.

I see what you're doing there ;). I agree completely. We play badly a lot on MNF, therefore we will lose next week. There's no hope for this team, we're doomed to a lifetime of 2-0 starts that don't mean anything. We're gonna get blown out. |
Re: We Want Dallas! 2011 Thread
I do have a feeling that we get blown away by Dallas.. LOL I hope i'm wrong

Nah, I'm a bit more tame than that. It's just that those ****ing Cowboys usally find a way to ****ing win against us once or twice during the regular season. You pretty much HAVE to expect them to split the season series. Might well take the gamble on the prime time game being that loss. Besides, humble pie is needed so this team don't get too puffed up about itself. |
Re: We Want Dallas! 2011 Thread
Right now things are working out nicely for us. Dallas is 1-1, so they won't be desperate for a win. They are banged up, but I'm sure the media will continue to hype them up as having a lot of talent, blah, blah, blah.
I HIGHLY doubt that anyone is going to hype us given the way that we won this game. In my eyes, we are still coming as underdogs. |
Re: We Want Dallas! 2011 Thread
On a real note, I as well always get nervous whenever we play in primetime. Occasionally we put up a good game (read: season opener last season), but more often than not everyone's lasting memory is us getting our ass kicked (read: 2nd Philly game last year), pardon my language.
I know this team has stayed grounded so far, and I know we should have plenty of motivation, but all the same primetime makes me uneasy. It's just something about it that makes me nervous. I feel like we save our worst for primetime. But hopefully I'm wrong, and this game is another step to our domination in the NFC Beast. |
Re: We Want Dallas! 2011 Thread
Division games are tough no matter who's hurt and who's playing. The only position where I think you really have the edge is QB. If you're facing the Giants 2nd string vs. Eli, that's a legit real edge. Osi vs. Pierre, not so much.
I expect Romo to get bandaged up and play his guts out. Would be nice for Dirty30 to lay some wood on him. |

It's **** anyone who's a Dallas cowboys fan week

This skins team isn't getting blown out by anyone

Re: We Want Dallas! 2011 Thread
Ok so lets look at their key injuries...
Miles Austin - Dallas Cowboys - 2011 Player Profile - Rotoworld.com
ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports that the Cowboys fear Miles Austin may be out until their Week 5 bye after re-pulling his hamstring in Sunday's win over San Francisco.
Felix Jones - Dallas Cowboys - 2011 Player Profile - Rotoworld.com
ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports that Felix Jones separated his right shoulder in Sunday's win over the 49ers.A shoulder separation certainly sounds bad, but Jones was able to play through it sparingly Sunday. He finished with 10 touches. The Cowboys' medical staff wrapped up the shoulder and allowed Jones to reenter.
and last but not least Romo's ribs. Felix might not be 100% which will help, Romo if they decide to play him all wrapped up will not be 100%, and the cowboys thinking is to replace Austin with Dez Bryant. I don't know why I thought Bryant has been injured. |
Re: We Want Dallas! 2011 Thread
Extremely interested to see how well we play on the road. Our offense has efficiently been able to move the ball in between the RZs all year, but as we saw yesterday, we still have problems scoring TDs. As well as we have played, we have also played all these games at home. I just want to see how this team handles the pressure of a MNF away game against a NFC East opponent. Should be interesting. If we can get another W, I will be elated.

Re: We Want Dallas! 2011 Thread
At this point, we can only stop ourselves. If the O-line can like they played against the Cards (at least 90%), we're a threat to score everytie our O takes the field.
Only concern I have is our CB depth. Would've liked to see us pick up K. Hayden, who had a nice pick against the Eagles last night. If Wilson can't play against Dallas, I'm don't like putting Thompson or Westbrook on the field to be the #3 CB. |
Re: We Want Dallas! 2011 Thread
Jessie Hollly of the Cowboys said God tapped on Romo's shoulder and told him to change the play that got them into scoring position!!! Any thoughtts??? Fire at will!!!

A 40 yr. old chant gains momentum after two straight wins at home. Whatever bad happens for the Boys is not good enough. I don't feel for their injuries and I'm equally sure they don't feel for ours. |

It's simple. God could have helped air show victims. God could have been in church, since it was a Sunday. But instead God chose to help the Cowboys because God hates the 49ers. Of course, last week God liked the Jets and hated the Cowboys. God is fickle and indecisive that way. |

No wonder the world is going to shit. God is too busy helping out football players.
He must have money on these games. |

Re: We Want Dallas! 2011 Thread
As Mr. Fletcher said, "It's the Cowboys and the Redskins...what's not to like?"
We've beat them before, I don't see any reason we can't beat them again. This was the perfect time for a long week. Dallas isn't the only team with injuries. This gives the Shannahan's and Haslett plenty of time to game plan. Romo's ribs are going to be a lot more sore after this game. Duck Fallas!!! Nice Lotus. :food-smil |
Re: We Want Dallas! 2011 Thread
The Skins didn't play outstanding ball, heck one could say they didn't play outstanding ball in week one. The positive is the team found a way to win both games. In past years the Skins have found a way to shoot themselves in the foot and lose games. Now it appears the Skins are finding ways to win those.
I'd like to add that we have won two games I expected us to win but man they were tough games. I totally expected us to suprise the Giants and win big especially with their injuries, and the Cards I expected a huge win but again it turned out to be a close game. I'm looking at all the teams I thought we could beat easily and have been seeing them play tough; Rams, Panthers, Bills, 49ers, Dolphins, Bucs. I still think we can win them but their gunna be closer then I thought. Colts, Vikes, and Seahawks might be the easiest games on our list now. |
