I'm so hyped for this game!! The Eagles and MIKE VICK rolled us and embarrassed us on MNF, That was a night I'll never forget for more than one reason.. Anyway I'm ready to go 4-1 and take control.. HTTR |
Re: Redemption Week!!
They should have fined the entire Eagle team for that game, under the clause of striking a defenseless opponent.

Re: Redemption Week!!
I might roast a bird for a pregame meal on Sunday. Frikkin' Philly Pigeons.
|
Re: Redemption Week!!
Screw the Eagles. I am sick of them, Philly, this Dream Team bs, all the Eagles "fans" that disappeared during this losing streak and the color green.
|
Re: Redemption Week!!
If ever the Skins needed to show a complete domination of a team it's this one in this game.
I would LOVE to see them keep them out of the End Zone, better yet shut them out entirely but that's being far too optimistic. I'll take a win. I expect a similar game to the Cowboys debacle. Have a sick bag handy. |
Re: Redemption Week!!
You know ... I got super hyped for the Cowboys game only to have the same old heartbreak happen. Not this time. I want a some real solid wins before I let myself get too carried away.
I hate the Eagles with a passion but I have seen to many frauds. I will cheer madly during the game. Crush them and I will rejoice. I am simply not going to get carried away until game time. Too many ways to lose this game. We keep looking for a "statement game" and getting excited in anticipation of one. I don't think this is the one. I hope for a victory but would not be surprised by a last second big play driven loss. |
Re: Redemption Week!!
This is as much a statement game for Philly as it is for us. They need to show thus weekend that they can put the past month behind them and truly contend

Especially considering I have to work from 1-5 Sunday and I'll have to dvr the game to watch when I get home on Sunday. I don't think we'll see a statement game this season, and if we do it will be against a weak opponent that won't really count as a "statement." |

So true. Another loss puts them in a very difficult position. This would be a very advantageous win for us no matter how we get it. |
Re: Redemption Week!!
If we really want to turn heads and have the pundits begin to quack positive, these are the type games we have to win. Coming off a bye week, at home against a division opponent is all the motivation we should need.
I don't expect the Eagles to go quietly because of their situation in the standings. We will need to deploy one of our better efforts in order to get it done. |
Re: Redemption Week!!
The eagles are currently wearing diapers cause they are shitting their pants. What a better game for the Redskins to avenge last year's embarrassing blowout by beating the "bird brains" and putting them 4 games behind and possibly knocking them off any playoff scenario. The Eagles are desperate and the Redskins want some ASS!! This will be a hell of a game at Fedex field, the fans better be in a playoff type mood and rock the place.
|
Re: Redemption Week!!
The shegles are backed into a corner so they are dangerous, we need a GOOD TEAM EFFORT and then we will get a WIN.
|
Re: Redemption Week!!
If we don't run the ball all over them, shame on us.
|
Re: Redemption Week!!
Three touchdowns and a 100yds each for all three of our RBs!!!! MAKE IT HAPPEN!!!!!!
|
Re: Redemption Week!!
My son-in-law sadly is an Iggles fan and dresses my only grandson in Iggles gear on gameday. I've threatened to call social services for child abuse and expressed my fears to him about my grandson growing up with low self-esteem. Hopefully a good ass whipping at the hands of our beloved Redskins will help my cause and the idiot will see the light. I'm fond of my son-in-law but he was obviously brought up in a bad environment.

Re: Redemption Week!!
guess we know who wears the pants, no not the baby, in that relationship lol
..as for bad environment ... yes I live in south Jersey where it is over run with rabidly oblivious moronic blind to reality idiots... aka iggles fans... |
Re: Redemption Week!!
on this Sunday October 16th 2011.. we will spell redemption .. R .. E .. X.
|
Re: Redemption Week!!
I hate playing a team that has talent and/or play-maker s when their back is to the wall. And make no mistake, the Eagles are up against the wall. Our biggest advantage is the bye week. Hopefully the Skins are well prepared and someone taught Rex not to throw to the green jerseys.

Re: Redemption Week!!
This is pretty much the same eagles team that humiliated us last yr.We have a better defense this year but the eagles offense has been unstoppable except for their turnovers. From the highlights Ive seen of their games,it hasnt been teams stopping them its been the eagles stopping themselves.I cant see us having the same luck as the other teams, the ball just has not been bouncing our way for so many yrs I cant count.I cant see us getting the fluke plays and turnovers the other teams have enjoyed,I see the odds of philly doing that 5 games in a row are too high.Just look at the dallas game, what they have,8 fumbles I think and we got 1 of them, are u kidding me,1of 8 fumbles?
We should have won the dallas game but we didnt step up and do it,we should win this game but ive lost the faith, weve been in this position so many times over the past few yrs and we blow it everytime.I dont think we would have won the game last yr if we wouldnt have knocked vick out of it and if he plays a full game this week my gut feeling is we lose again Ok go ahead and blast away at me and tell me im not a true fan:spank: |

No need to blast you, in order for the Redskins to win Rex has to play a perfect game, McCoy needs to be stopped, Vick controlled when he takes off and Desean Jackson neutralized. I would like to see a heavy dose of Fred Davis a strong running game and maybe getting Niles Paul involved in receiving (need a physical receiver against those DB's). These Redskins team is different than the ones that have left us fans down. |
Re: Redemption Week!!
I want to see Landry get some redemption.
|
Re: Redemption Week!!
yes. id like to see laron make alot of plays and make up for last game vs Philly... and I.believe he will... I believe we will control the clock .. dominate the line of scrimmage ____ wen running lol ... defense will be huge.. I'm scared sure but I won't lose faith.. have the best of hopes and pray we can execute and play well and Kyle doesn't screw us... pound the effing.ball kid
|
Re: Redemption Week!!
The best medicine would be a dominating win . I hope we run for over 200 yds , hold DJ to under 50yds recieving and put Vick in the dog house ..... 27 - 13 skins ( 4-1 ) , Philly ( 1-5 ) would look real good !
|
Re: Redemption Week!!
To coin a phrase I think I've heard somewhere before, "Just win, baby."
|
Re: Redemption Week!!
I want to win this game so bad...usually this is the game skins have a letdown.
Sunday can't get here soon enough. |
Re: Redemption Week!!
I am very concerned with this game. It just seems like in years past when a talented team is struggling they always seem to get back on track against us! The eagles are undeniably talented on both sides of the ball (minus run stopping players) and it is going to take a well played game by the Skins to walk away with a victory. We will need to control the ball with our running game and play action passes. Fred Davis needs to have a big game and Kerrigan and Orakpo need to harass Vick all day long!
Looking forward to Sunday! |
Re: Redemption Week!!
Had a dream last night we beat the eagles by 3 touchdowns and ended Vicks season.
|
Re: Redemption Week!!
Coming off a bye week, at home, after what happened last year, there is no excuse to not win this game and bury this divisional foe.
I take that back. The only excuse would be - we weren't who some people thought we were! I think we take it in a close one, but only if we win the turnover battle and are able to establish a decent running game. |
Re: Redemption Week!!
Just watched a recap of the 2005 Week 17 game on Hulu last night. We came back from behind to beat the 6-10 Eagles to finish off our 5-game winning streak to make the playoffs after starting 5-6. Finished 10-6.
Sean Taylor sealed the game with a fumble return for a TD. Was incredible to watch. We'll beat them again Sunday. 10-6 for us and 6-10 for Philly is looking like a real possibility right now for 2011 too. Look up the game on Hulu.com...just search Redskins and look for "Game of the Week" with the Eagles and Redskins. Only takes 30 minutes to watch and worth it.
